I seriously doubt the drop rate on these boosters is one in 300. I just got done with a marathon of playing EQ all weekend with little sleep, killing as much as possible as fast as possible to try and get boosters or the new cards dropping only during the weekend, Hatred and Switch. Sony stated that the weekend boasted a significantly higher drop rate for all boosters, decks, promo cards, etc. In 3 straight days of playing, I got 2 Hatred and 1 Switch promos, no boosters, no decks, no starter packages. Based on my playing, I'd say the drop rate was more like 1 in 3,000 mobs, and since this was a significantly higher drop rate than normal, try closer to 1 in 10,000 for the norm.
By the way, I did as many folks did and went to Gloominghell to grind faster and the promos all dropped off cave rats and cave bats.

Dropped off of a shrouded willsapper in GE and a spirit of the old city in the hole. I think these can drop off of any mob,just very rarely. Prices dropping on my server AB too, see them up in bazaar starting from 80k.

I've seen em drop on Solteris raids on two different occasions this week.

Had a booster pack drop tonight ( 9 - 27 ) off of "an animated icepile" in Icefall Glacier.
Add An Undead Vassal to the drop list. Had one drop a little over a week ago while killing skellies.

One starter deck dropped off a Scoriae Hornet in Burning Woods last night, was soloing with alt 46 Drakkin Warrior.
Was surprised, had been told they were uncommon drops. Guess thats has changed!

Do you need to have a specific expansion to get it to drop? I only have up to DoD.

my guildie had one drop in a Dain 1 MM yesterday...of course it poofed on re-entry to Icewell...

A question: Could someone create a lvl 1 Warrior on one account and start killing...lets say scaled wolf pups. On your other account you have a druid that is PLing him but you are grouped with him, so no exp is exchanged. Would the mobs still drop the pack, even though technically hes getting no exp? It'd be a nice loop hole.

If you were grouped with someone 10 levels or so above your own level, you wouldnt be getting exp, and thus no booster could drop.

messing around in arcstone, had wife ( chanter ) charm a SPIRIT SLAG ( horse/kerin things ) charm broke backstabbed wife = dead chanter.. anyways i was keeping it for her while she got rezzed and instead killed it, dropped a booster pack. 1 kill 1 mob 1 booster

Just had one from from "an escaped drogmar" in the Gulf of Gunthak. And then had another from from the next mob in the same zone, "a troll plunderer". Was pling there for about 8 hours before we got the first to drop. Alt and a few friends got 25-40ish before we got 2 in a row.
