a 15/18 1hander is still a GREAT weapon for anyone in a pre-elemental guild and considering how easy it is to get with 3 - 4 groups of decently well-equipped organized people, it's amazing that more people don't get this. With a nice lifetap proc in the type 4 slot it makes quite a nice weapon. Too bad it's offhand only, but I guess you can't have everything.

NToV is the north wing of the temple of veeshan the hardest Area. All mobs there are KoS to you exept for chicken drakes verry low lvl that are on CoV Faction.
Drops off of Eashen of the Sky The 2nd Named mob in NToV 2nd Easyst he is a large blue drake.
To kill him you will need 3 Groups + to be safe.

This does not drop in Chardok friend. Something that is this nice would never drop in a zone such as Chardok or all of Kunark for that matter. Don't mean to bust your bubble bro.

Monk epics when equipped convert your hands at level 60 from 14/26 to 9/16. 9/16 will be the ratio of any level or race monk equipped with them. This item is incredible ... the most sought after item I have come across. Pair this with a gharns or primal velium fistwrap .. toss your avatar proc and you are a machine. Great to see them upgrading monks damage a bit to put us back where we were pre kunark .. masters of toe to toe damage .. and unchallenged.

Ive YET to meet one of these so called Uber Monks that put out more DPS than just your "average" Beastlord.....
Im not Uber in any stretch of the imagination just average gear, and as long as i dont have aggro (so im not getting the mob reposte/dodge etc)and mob isnt highly resistant, i do a solid 140 DPS at lvl 62....
Ive yet to meet a single Monk in 3 years that does a solid 140 DPS....though im sure he exist somewhere...maybe 2-5 Uber Monks per server might be able to outdamage your "average" Beastlord...
Your Uber Beastlord...will smoke any Monk....
Level 65 Beast with Uber gear raid buffed your looking at close to 8KHP, PLUS another 6K+HPs for pet, and pet can be CH by Beast...
Uber 65 Beast can 65% Slow Mob....Debuff it, DOT it, DD it, stand "Toe to Toe" to Mob longer than Monk back up let pet take over hit PAragon of Spirits and step right back in to deal more Dam...
Monks are more like maybe 4th in line in the DPS dept...
Rogue>Beast/Ranger>Monk......
Im not so sure Rangers outdamage a well equiped Beast either...be close...bout tied...
and a Fine H2H weapon such as this if there is a Beastlord there should be given first crack at it

Dood,.... uber beastlord eh?..... im lvl 71 monk, and your 62 with a dps of 140,... LMAO, i could beat your *** in a dual without using my melee attack button,.... flying kick and riposte alone i would smoke your boots. I dont know my DPS but on any given combat round i can clearly see a window of at least 900 to 1400 dps. and my gear sucks,.... trust me man your little tiger wouldn't have a prayer if we fought.
Why do people think they have to come on pages that are about other class and bash that class? Nothing else better to do?

i hate to say this but you are right in that aspect BL's over power almost any class in the game, BUT if you take away the pet a BL is just as usefull as a shammy =p and as for BL's getting 1st crack at it......dood Munks were around way before BL's.....dueal a Monk with out your pet and eat your words =)

Hate to tell you catpurr, But on alot of raids you can't use pets for agro, and because of push reasons. Take your pet away and any decently equiped monk will blow your bstlord out of the water in DPS. True you get spells, paragone, crack etc. But you sacrifice DPS. You may have more hitpoints as well, we simply get hit alot less. our classes where not meant to be compared in the same fashion. To say this is a pure Bst weapon is a judgement of your greed and character. If it was made for a bstlord to really have it would give your *** mana.

I think you'll find that higher level Beastlords, with proper AAs and comparable gear, will just about do equal damage to a monk of same level. Then you must factor in the extra 60+ DPS from that nasty pet (Straight melee damage, not counting procs).

Just wrap the strips of primal velium around your hand, much more effective than any weapons made from velium. Makes real weapons and Blacksmithing obsolete.

This gives 41% permananent haste when worn. So far, the highest permanent haste is 41%, which is on several items.
Needless to say, the new monk "handwrap" weapons kick the crap out of their epic (good, not like they work for it anyway ;). These are definitely a plus. Monks get dibs on the Primal Wraps in Sleepers, and the other 1HB's can go to the other dual wielders.
this isn't an upgrade to the monk epic, this is something to use in tandem with your epic - epic is spell haste, this is item haste (enc's aug line)
Actually, monks don't get dibs on handwraps in Sleeper's Tomb. The handwraps are not a drop, you see. The way you get them is turning in a primal/priceless battle hammer to the dwarf standing outside the zone-in, and he gives you a handwrap.
That means that monks still are in the competition for the 1HB in there - those are the only way to get the handwraps.

Seems odd that this would be sec. slot only, what with the low delay...is it supposed to pair with the epic fists? Dont know a -whole- lot bout monks as of yet, can anyone explain?

The monk epic is a pair of gloves not a weapon, so it wouldn't really matter which hand this would go in.
By the way, I would take those primal fists over this any day.

heres a novel idea(in all seriousness) y dont u get the primal, and this so u can get rid of those haste pieces for better stats and/or AC and u will still kik ***. to bad it so rare no1s gonna get both soon :(
Obviously, both would be ideal, but to the guy who would take primal over this "any day" I gotta wonder what yer smokin... Primal, while having nice stats and, of course, avatar, doesn't even come close to the DPS of this weapon. Primal weapons, or "ancient prismatic" as they are called now, are strictly switch-out weapons in this day and age. You use it until it procs, then swap out a real weapon for 5.5 minutes, then use it until it procs again. Rinse and repeat. I don't know anyone who owns primal that uses it all the time.

That this item, and the other Fistwrap items, don't act as Hand-to-Hand weapons.
That would be neat to see, if Verant could code it. Weapon-slot equipable items that are used with the Hand-to-Hand skill.

It's possible. Take the Sorcerer's Bowl for example, it uses the hand to hand skill.

Aye, Sorcerer's Bowl HAD h2h skill...but of course...after I used it for 24 lvls on my necro, Verant nerfed it and made it 1hb. Not like I melee much if any, but the least they could do is bring my 1hb to what h2h is.
Is this part of the increased monk weapons available since the last patch? :)
