I just looted from a Di'Zok Captain in Chardok.
very nice item
# Aug 04 2002 at 12:22 AM Rating: Decent
I just got one of these from a good friend/group buddy. She got it in Chardok, don't remember what dropped it. My 2cp worth. I can't tell you how many times I've zoned with 10 or 20hp's that extra 10hp CAN mean the difference between life and death. AND the 10 ac can help mobs miss you more so you can a. get that gate spell off b. have enough time for tank to get agro from mob. Weight is an issue, but it's WAY worth it. This item is awesome. Won't say too much about cha flames, but I use charm a lot in Kael, I can only get my cha to about 235 now, but I use it, and I know it makes a difference in charms. Not sure how much but hey .001 of a second is the difference between an Olympic gold medal and the silver. I'll take the gold.

well no 10ac and 10hp won't save a chanter from being clobbered, which is why the charisma is still the most important factor.
Not just nice cha

Yeah, the charisma might be nice, and most chanters will take it quite happily, but from several perspectives, the advantage to this item is the 10ac/10hp it provides -- which for casters is a heck of a good thing. The chanters that tend to take a lot of abuse benefit a LOT from this added protection; the cha is almost a secondary benefit by comparison.

young chanters, don't take all you hear about charisma as gospel and follow blindly. your biggest modifier on resists on mez is your level. i put on cha gear when dungeon hunting for the higher successes on charms and longer duration. i have more than one occasion gotten a group as i zoned in, and immediately set in action moving. i have no problems sticking mezzes with my int gear on <puts me at 107cha>. do i wear cha gear? you bet, you never know when the pull is so big that you will NEED another damage dealer, i.e. charmed pet.
wear what you want, but LEVEL is the modifier i would most concern myself with. it's a simple matter to hit 200+ int and 200 cha when you get into yer 50's.

#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 05 2001 at 1:19 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) A pair of these would be great for my enchanter, but with a weight of 5 for a pair, I'll have to carefully consider the options. I usually run around at 45/59 after I've banked, and the extra 5 weight could be a problem.

dropped off a Shai`din Soultrapper in the castle, between zone in/out. Very nice upgrade to my electrum cat's eye bracelet =)

Very very nice chanter bracelet, good bard bracelet, and frankly, not too shabby for anyone.

Second, Cha does affect how often mezzes are resisted. If you disagree, make a damn chanter and find out for yerself.

I agree, have been saying that cha effects mez for a long time and have had a lot of people argue with me /hug my 255 cha.

I agree. I started a new ENC on DR and I put as much CHA on her as I can.

I run with a 215 (224 now at level 34) and with that in mind I started hunting in DL at level 33. People laughed at me for doing this but I can get 95% of my mezzes to stick on everything but the Ravishing Drolvargs. Reason for this is level.

Level plays an important role in mezzes but CHA also plays an important role. When I switch out to my INT gear I get a 70% success ratio with my mezzes. I tried this on several occassions and the results were always the same.

Nobody will every convince me that CHA has NO effect on mez.

On Zeboxoruk, the price since they started dropping in chardok has been 5kpp (3 ppl sold them at this price, saw other offers of ppl wanting to buy at 5k each). I was wondering how much they went for on other servers to get a general idea (the economy on zeb is royally screwed up).

I also come from the Zebuxoruk Server...
Ill pay 10k for a pair at least... but im sure with time they will do down to around 2k each
I was so disapoineted when they were removed from the drop tables, and now that they are back... i gotta make sure i get a pair, as all i have now is an ENC sence my last account was hacked (/rude @ hacker)
Cha

Actually, Cha does affect mez. I, and several of my peers on the Nameless have done extensive testing and we have concluded that we are resisted an avg of 20% less with Cha above 200. At higher levels Cha becomes less important as level truly is everything, however, do not doubt that Cha does affect your ability to mez.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 13 2001 at 12:31 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) cha only affects bard and enchanter charms, does not affect mezzes or any other spells.

omg...i have never flamed someone before and never ever will,(i think i know you from my server too O_o!) but in looking at your characters in your last post you seem to NOT have a chanter OR bard... hmmm then where o' where could this information be coming from? but you DO have a necro as it seems but FYI necros have a ghetto mez (even though it has helped in some situations), and a class specific charm. charisma isnt a primary factor in necro anything, as evident in all the -cha necro only items.... but if you can show me ONE enchanter ONLY item that has neg charisma i will let you bend over real nice and i will kiss your bloomin' ***** LOL. really all jokes aside- it does help as any enchaner would tell you... would an entire server of enchanters be wrong?

Anyone know what exactly drops this? I know certain mobs drop certain items now and some drop randomly off anything. Love to have one of these.

Extremely nice for Bards or Enchanters. :) Of course, all will want. The AC isnt half bad, nor fact that prices will increase for selling and decrease for buying. :) A little to weighty though for the monks. :(
