Cord of Dark Bindings  

 

You can pretty much guarantee that anything you see in the database with 500+ hp/mana (at least until the next expansion that comes out) is from Solteris, the end-zone of "The Buried Sea" expansion.

Now, as I understand it, there are 2 instances of this zone. One has groupable content; the other has raid-only content. Items like this will only be found in the raid-only Solteris. No way they'd toss something like this to the masses.

The raw hp/mana on the items I've seen from Solteris are nice, no doubt about it. But for pure Casters (and Priest-type classes), it's the Focus effects that make or break us. And I've yet to find anything to be excited about in terms of Foci. In fact, on some of the Class-specific armor from Solteris, I've found Focus effects that were downright laughable; things I wouldn't trade in an Anguish-level item for.

Let's hope they're still fine-tuning these things...and let's pray that the person in charge of attaching Focus effects to items starts listening to the Class Correspondents. Because from what I've seen so far, he is CLUELESS.
