I have had this for years.

Sometimes I will put this in my Primary, and a Parry Dagger in my Secondary, and I look like I am duel wielding.

#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 08 2001 at 2:55 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) all class's CAN use it but that don't mean tey will be good at it
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 06 2001 at 12:56 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think I can speak for everyone on this topic. Please people when you know that someone has been camping for a long time, don't pester them about when they are going to leave. Don't sit down next to them to "wait" until they are done. You might be waiting a long time and then the time it takes for you to complete your camp on top of that. The NPC will always respawn and will always be there. Just ask them kindly if they will send you a tell when they are done and 9 times out of 10 they will. These players are tired from camping that long of a period and quite understandably a little grouchy and become extremely nervous at the thought of someone possibly stealing their kill. So, be courteous.

I agree, I have seen this post at least 10 other times. Its nice and all but there is enough posts that have nothing to with the topic. Sooo...yes this item doesnt really make the risk vs. reward. However it has a nice low delay which make it very good for trying to skill up that neglected piercing skill or interrupting casting.

I've seen this message of your's on another thread. While I understand your sentiment, this is not the venue to change the world or the way people play in-game. These threads are for particular items.

Try to post relevant to those items and use other forum boards to post about "playing nice."

In reference to the item, I'm slightly disappointed in SS items as most of them are relatively weak compared to other velious zone dropped items.

This one however, has the redeeming factor of being able to be used by all classes, making it a "fun" item. It's a beautiful zone, but the risk, once again, doesn't equal the reward for the more difficult mobs.
Not a fake

Dropped in SS past the CS fountain, past Sentry Rotiart, past the cubes, past the named wurms that drop the quest books near the Wyvern Gates. I had it, used it, then relized... I'm a monk! It was fun to use and sold it first chance I had for about 100pp and the person who bought it was rather satified. Nice weapon for someone under lvl 20... Hits fast and the piercing skills go up fast...

I've had one for quite some time. It is what it says, an all/all 1 handed pierce. I happen to love it because as a Paladin with our new lance type weapons that are 2 hand pierce but have a high delay it is very hard to raise the skill.

since this has an incredibly low delay it really brings the skill up fast and since it's 1 handed I can still use a shield so I tend to equip this when fighting casters as my damage isn't nearly as important as my interrupting spells (Only when there is another tank around of course) This thing also generates a nice amount of aggro so be careful if you're not a tank and using this.

Oh as for classes that don't have a pierce skill. They can use it too. But, since they have 0 skill with it, they will do basically no damage and miss like 80% of the time. But they can equip it. Just like anyone can try to tinker but unless you are a gnome your chance of success is almost nil, and you'll never increase your skill in it.

Fake?

I would like to see a screenshot of this. After all, it says all/all, which would give druids, and clerics a one hand pierce, which I have never seen. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there aren't any one handed piercers for druids and clerics, just I've never seen one.

Same deal with the Sentry Maul. My bard could use it - and bards can't use 2hb. I killed a willowisp with it, and then I think I killed a puma. I marveled at the novelty of it for a nanosecond, then put it up for auction faster than you can say, "wow, neato"

If you recall there was once a 1h piercer that was all/all that dropped in lfay that proc'ed Fear. It was later changed to Secondary slot only, so as a druid I ended up destroying it (was nodrop). :)

The Jagged Shard of Bone is what you were thinking about. I have it on my ranger and it helps me raise my piercing and I can fear kite with it (= The damage is 5 and delay is 32 but the fear proc rules. Then again my dex is pretty high.
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 05 2001 at 7:02 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) can't remember the name of it, but there was also a 1hs that monks could use. probably not a fake, but don't go by me.

Yet another VI item goof... it happens. Yes you can use them. No your skill won't go up if your class doesn't get it. Yes you look neat. No you won't be uber melee'r with your new toy.

Blade of Passage (7dmg 38dly(?) +20hp) used to be ALL ALL, but they nerfed it so that only classes which could normally use 1hs could use it. Was too bad, the stats sucked on the weapon but it was cool-looking.
Walrun Tooth II
# Oct 05 2001 at 5:47 PM Rating: Good
Yeah... a lot harder to get, but doesn't it kinda seem like the sequel to the Walrus tooth?
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 06 2001 at 9:47 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It almost seems like a waste to put this in the secondary when you could put better stuff there. For my Rogue, having already given up on the tooth, I would have to pass on this. If it was Range equippable however...
