Shiny Robe of the Underfoot  

 

OK have figured how to do this lately.

First of all you need to create a mule Cleric that worships Brell, probably a dwarf. Level him to level 4 and buy the spell divine aura.

Give the mule the robe and get him to grab a SoW and head for Paineel. When you zone in head thorugh the tunnel and you will appear outside at the edge of the Hole. Cast Divine Aura and immediately run over the edge. You should be alive when you hit the bottom (#7 on EQ Atlas map). Stay away from Master Yael if he is up, otherwise all the other elementals, stone golems and flighty fiends will ignore you, regardless of what they con to you. Head for the only exit out of the area which I believe is to the West.

Now the only mob you really need to keep clear of is a Ratman. Which roams either end of the two tunnels and in the middle area.

Follow the upward sloping tunnel until you come to the exit stay close to the right hand side wall and avoid the revenant (Erudite ghost looking thing) as you make a right turn. Run up the slope and there should be another tunnel entrance to your left. Enter the tunnel and follow it until you come to a pool with Jaeil the Wretched (#8 EQ Atals map). Hopefully you haven't come across the ratman yet, you should wait here until you see him coming. When he appears jump into the right hand pool and swim as far as way from the path as possible until the ratman leaves. Once he does jump out and continue on up the tunnel. From hear it's all clear sailing. When you get to the end of the tunnel take the right and make your way to the area above #11 on the EQ Atlas map. Enter the building and make your way up the stairs until you get to Kejar the Mighty. Good luck to all of you attempting it. Got one robe and a chunk of metal so far hehe. =)

Where is the tower that has kejar inside we looked with a group and couldn't find.... the map shows it as 9 on the map but it is seperate from the main map and doesn't connect so were is the stairs to the tower???????

Can confirm that this can still be obtained as of Dec 18th, 2002.

I have tried this 4 times so far with no luck. I am using the halfling rogue to get to him. Anyone get this lately? I see the last post stating somone got this robe was in November 02. Just don't want to be wasting my time and money. Also, anyone got one for sale on Inny?

I have one for sale on Torv, it's the only one I have heard of on torv so I'm always getting inspected when I wear it. Send me a tell in game if you are interested. Great Look Great Saves and a decent amount of mana/int for the difficulty involved.

It took me 4SMRs to get this robe. after over 100 hours of camping the stupid frog in Lguk. First 3 were rocks, and finaly the forth :) ROBE. Anyone that says the bone caster robe is better, needs their head examined. You cannot replace those resist. When on raids it comes in so handy. I live when others die cause of my resists. It is worth the money. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I would have to get uber robe to replace it, and I also like the look. I haven't seen another robe that looks like it, and I like that. I like to stand out. When your done with it, you turn around and sell it for what ever you paid for it. You will always find someone looking for one, specially someone wanting to tweek an alt. I have been offered 17k for mine. Turned them down. I will sell it when I am ready:)

im looking to get this robe but what is an SMR and what lvl should i be to get it?

Well, I havent tried this quest yet, but i read that peeps get like 3 chunks in a row.. then get a robe.. Has anyone tried keeping the first shiney chunk on them, and turned in the next smr? Might do something like take the chunk off loot possibilities for that trade.. just a thought /shrug I know lots of quests like this one where the item is.. "ok", and if you keep it, and turn in again, gives sweet exp since you already have the item.. Ie , i kill the Goul Messenger in Wk whenever i track him there and turn in the map.. Having the SSoM in the bank, I get bout 1/2 blue exp at lvl 50, and nothing saying i already have that lore item. Seems almost like a check on my inv before it decides what loot/exp is on the table. /shrug.. Just a few cp worth there to think about

Why would anyone pay 12k for this robe? Or even 6k? It is really not all that great an item if compared to the Froglok Bonecaster's Robe

I have tried this quest twice with, first time was for my Boyfriend a 54Chanter. Made a 1/2ling rogue of Brell and you know the rest....anyway, I got the robe...easy, no problem....second time I did it for a friend of mine, and of course....got the shiny metal. I did both hiding and Sneaking so that has no affect on the outcome....i guess it is just luck.
