geez why is it that I can't go one item that has low weight and nice stats with out hearing monks cry that it should be theirs ya'll have nice gear already and a good bit of it so back of geez this is for us rogues to use damn it
What is the cost to make one of these in time and PP? I hope less than 500pp all told (not including the Tailoring skill alone) or your profit margin is gone. Any more than that and you're better off shopping for something else. And think of the tailor that had to plug through to make this! A 200+ tailoring to make this, plus those ingredients...
The cost per attempt is around 50pp for the ore and temper per boning. Only one boning required. HOWEVER, note that it takes an average of 5 attempts to make one... and that haze panther hides are somewhat rare (haze panthers are much more rare than black panthers, and hides drop off of only 1 in 4 haze panthers).
The time it takes to gather the materials (ore is loot only as well) for 5 attempts is the real cost. Realistically, a group of friends could get enough items for 5 attempts in about 3 hours with a little luck. Finding a tailor high enough to make these is also difficult, since most give up long before reaching 200, let alone 250.
As for what you said about profit... this item is well worth 2k to me (a rogue). I haven't come across any neck items yet with a better combination of AC and stats that I can conceivably get at level 45 (other than a hangman's noose... and everyone and their cousin camps that).

Well Multi quest Items so why not Class Specific Armor?
