Helm of Narandi has an effect of flowing thought 2, though its pally/sk only...stats are (if i remember correclty) 25ac +8 to all stats(except cha) and like 5 to all resists...friggen awesome helm, apparently drops of the last giant in the 10th ring war, well worth the effort
K, I know, perheps im just ignorant, or maybe just uninformed, but ive been hearing alot of stuff about changes coming to 2H weapons. I was just wondering if anyone could give me the low down on what this is all about. Perhaps i should keep my Baton of Faith after all... Thanks in advance fer all the help and all the information you can give!!!
These posts appeared on eq.castersrealm.com during September and explain the melee changes currently on test. They might answer some of your questions.
Thing is, the caster reward for this quest kinda beats this item. If i remember correctly, which is about 30% of the time, the reward for casters here is flowing thought 2 boots, which is currently like the only ones in the game with that proc
Well maybe so, but I don't really think that should be the deciding factor. Bard epic beats a white dragonscale cloak too, but casters still (sometimes) get to roll on the white scale from Vox. Were I to put in the effort to do Tormax, especially seeing as how if I ever do I'll probably be the main tank heh.. I'd fully expect to get to random for this thing.
Frost Strike is the same proc on the Club of the Ice Ocean, 149pt DD cold based.
And yeah this sword is worth having, especially with the proposed melee 2h changes coming soon (higher minimum damage etc, = more ability to keep taunt with 2h) As a warrior I would fully expect to be in a random for that head, were my guild ever to decide to go after Tormax.
I had to turn my filter off just to read what completely stupid and childish things were said. It's a shame that proof of maturity (notice I didn't say age) isn't required in order for people to use the internet.

What does this message even mean? No caster in there (sic) right mind would *let* a melee get a tormax head? Newsflash: casters don't *let* melees do anything (or vice-versa for that matter). Since there's an item connected to the Tormax Head which is indeed a melee item (and a helluva 2hs looks like) - melees have as much right to pursue it as a caster does. Pfft. I think I'll "let" you move along now. =)

Frost Strike is a level 24 shaman spells that maxes out at 149 dammage, it is not a rain and it is not an aoe. Your post is either an an attempt to lower the price of a no drop item which is futile, or a post of someone who doesnt reserch stuff before he types stupid stuff.
If I am not mistaken, the HELM IS Droppable. I have the head (King Tormax) now. I am a cleric, and It was announced that if anyone was Working on yel faction, they could have the head. I was the only one in my guild, at this kill (only about 10 of us or so) so I won.
