Item dropped during the Halloween Event that lasted for about a week(started Hallo's Eve and lasted a week after; event went on til someone ended it by finishing quest, then two hours later it restarts). Two zones from what I know had them. East Karana and Rathe Mountains both had mobs that dropped this nice resist item. East Karana would have been the best bet to find this item easier for those lower leveled players. It was a random drop item from any mob.
The emerald essence was awarded in East Karana as the event prize. It is used as a component by necromancers to rez others. It is a Last Resort item to have and a good one. So from that, sometimes the event ended 5 or so minutes right after it began. Because of this and RL(real life) situations, I was unfortunate to have the chance at acquiring one. Many deserving and sometimes lucky people now possess this great item and props go out to em.
The event itself was great but, as usual, somehow certain select players would always foil the overall enjoyment. This goes to those deliberately ending it early for over ten times as well as those who seem to ***** and moan over it being ended. One can't say much nor argue against the actions of others since there was no communication given from the quest ender except for one time during his emerald essence "farming".
/shrug, it's all opinionated and all legit since one quest piece wasn't lore...which meant you could kill the named x amount of times and gather the other 3 pieces later on during the rest of the events. If GM's didn't want this to happen, they would have lored the hair from the named mob.
Did manage to win the roll from the named mob in East Karana for the Warlord's Ring which to me was another great item. Was lucky since the event was still newish. Met some nice, cool ppl as well. ( for those wondering...the earring was something like ac3 dex+5 agi+5 sta+7 if I remember correctly)
Not sure if this necklace was given out in other Gm events or if it will be given out in the ones to come. Hope so. I'm sure even if my warrior hit lvl 60 or so that he would be more than happy to be one who wins it. Grats to those who have it already. It is a really great situational piece to own.

So are these events finally over so I can give up on ever recieveing one of these things, or must I spend another night dodging the Blood Reaver?

I'm sure that if they did, or atleast played it from our aspect (being able to die), they would see that the game has become very boring. Hopefully a game will come along with much better thoughts in mind, such as not doing an epic quests given to you by the gods, which they say only you can help them complete, after thousands of others already have. Oh well, hopefully someone does (me doing it would be better).

It's moreso the players that make the game suck. Perhaps some day an RPG will come out and people will stop pretending it's DOOM, and actually start roleplaying.

Agreed. Xegony gets an event, people spread the word and zones begin to crash. We just don't get them enough, so people rush to watch. I would be happy if they just held some in deserted locations that few people knew about just so we could read about them happening. I miss Poega and Pogger too. :/

I agree! Xegony seems to have fewer events than any other server I've been on! And nothing like the "epic" events, with Firiona Vie and Lyraie Oakwynd, no, we get talking 'gators who're hungry. Granted, those are fun, too, but we'd like a little more....epic in our events.
Anyone else notice Xegony GMs are slacking BIG TIME? *cries* Since that little fairy event in gfay, the zone has become seriously unstabble, and the most recent event was some stupid mini gator in Oasis named Snacker or something, and that even yielded a whole... Lockjaw Tunic!! *gasps*

Ummm for those of you who don't pay attention to the events going on in the world of Norrath try buying the local city paper. This event was held on Xegony in Sky Fire Mountains, it involved Fironia Vie, Lyriea Oakwynd and some big ol Red Dragon that looked just like Naggy to begin with. The Dragon told Fironia to seek an Ogre who was possesed by Cazic Thule, after he was pounded down to nuthin Fironia rezzzed him and he was questioned on the location of the staff she seeks. I have to say I was very priveleged to be able to attend this gm event as it was the coolest thing I have seen. I started playing in March and have not witnessed an event of this proportion before. Thank God I am a druid and had Wind of the North.

Not worth their time? Holy cow! I'd love to have this kind of resist gear. Comes in real handy when fighting those mob casters.
uhh i dont know what that's supposed to mean but if it means that its a bad item then you obviously arent paying much attention
