You know, for gear that's got 500hp/mp on it, the additional effects on this Wrist item are pathetic.

Hell, even the Anguish wrist item puts this to shame.

Now, you might say that 1 item with low modifiers on it would be a worthwhile trade for an additional 200hp/mp. And maybe 1 item wouldn't be that bad. But all the rest look to be very close, so if you swap out all your other items with these, the extra raw hp/mp isn't going to be much good when you've sacrificed all of your Shielding, Spell Shielding, DoT Shielding, Stun Resist, and Avoidance.

A full set of Keikolin`s Mindhaze armor will add +265ac, +3535hp, +3705mp, +10% Shielding, +13% DoT Shielding, +16% Spell Shielding, +15% Stun Resist, +50 Avoidance, +25hp Regen, and +15mp Regen.
Since we're missing the stats on 1/2 the Refined armor, I cannot accurately calculate just exactly how they measure up to the Mindhaze. But by applying the law of averages, I can guesstimate that a full suit of Refined would be around +256ac, +4080hp/mp, +8% Shielding, +10% DoT Shielding, +10% Spell Shielding, +11% Stun Resist, +16 Avoidance, +22hp Regen, +13mp Regen, and +29 Combat Effects.
(Arrived at those numbers the quick and dirty way: I added up the stats of all 5 known Refined pieces, divided by 5, then multiplied by 8 to approximate the stats of the full set.)

On the bright side...I guess you can always equip a proc'ing weapon and go to town. Might even make some money on the side by laying bets on how many procs you'll get off before that 7k-quadding raid mob decides to riposte you.

Judicus tells the raid, 'Hey, wonder how much more my Wand of Dark Waters will proc with this "Combat Effects: +5" thingy?'

LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...

I am not worried by the (really low) modifiers for this armor.
The lack of (useful) Foci worries me.
Where is Mana Preservation of ANY kind ?
Where is Duration Extension Detrimental and Benefical ?
Where is any kind of spell haste ?
...
etc.

Agreed, the modifiers aren't going to make a difference because by the time you equip this (or the Mindhaze) armor sets and coupled with your remaining gears pieces, you'll have all or all but 1 mod capped anyways. The foci however need some serious consideration. I don't think that the devs spent enough time contemplating the focus that would be beneficial to each specific class, and considering the armor sets ARE class specific, that somewhat scares me...

I find it strange that the best Foci (or at least the most comprehensive) are on the Citizen's Energiac gear. The mid level Praetorian has Spell Haste and Chromatic damage foci, but thats about it. The main feature of the Praetorian aside from the Anguish level HPS and Mana seems to be the large amount of avoidance, with several pieces boasting 15-20. Also the Praetorian pants give improved dodge II which is great for enchanters.

I dont raid so I wont be seeing any of the refined any time soon, so like many of you ill be looking elsewhere to fill in the foci gaps on my full set of Praetorian.
