Im a 49 ogre who does not have time to fight in uber raids and such. A week or so ago i got (bought) me a pair of kylong leggs. I came across these this morning for 900pp.
Believe you me, I bought them and will put them on as soon as I can get them to my warrior.
the weight is a non issue to a warrior, as stated already. It might be a problem for a cleric, but they need wis and such (most anyway) instead of pure ac.
if you have better, im sure a quick check in DL or other lvl 50ish zone will give you many tells that would like them.

All the Cold Steel armor parts aren't useless! It seems that most ppl who post here (except the warriors) never played a warrior! ;)
My lvl 46 Ogre Warrior got unbuffed 236 STR and my weight is at around 100 wt. all the time. I'm not uber twinked or something I got decent gear!
Just think about it, a Thick Banded Belt got +15 STR and I got it for 1 kpp, Couger Claw Earrings got STR too. If u wear some Crustacean Shell Armor
u got a lot of extra STR too. Or Spider Fur stuff, or just buy a 8 WIS 8 STR face item for around 400 pp, even Centi Longswords got 8 STR on each and u can wear two of em and they cost almost nothing!!
All Cold Steel parts listet here on Allakhazam right now got all together a weight of a bit more then 80 wt. This is for most Warrior just a tear drop on a hot stone. And when u think that 24.4 wt. for a BP is much then just go and have a look to the uber BPs with 60 ac or something .. most of them got a damn high weight too!

The leggings are NOT useless... I would use them even at level56. I know lots of highlevels still using newb leggings like seb scale...It's really ahrd to get good leggings (Especially since Iksar can't use most plate)... As for the WT, lol 20WT really doesn't matter for most tanks... str 180 current WT 90.

Well, first off I dunno about most servers but on Torv there is a list of guilds about 20 long that want a shot at VS. And he doesnt even drop them all the time, on top of that he has a 1 week spawn time. Ok, Next all the dragonhide stuff, Chriminy you gotta have an UBER group of 57-60 or 2 or 3 well balanced groups to do named dragons in WW on a regular basis, and thats not even counting the HOSS named dragons there. Thats just the "easy" nameds. /shrug I dunno but I'd say these legs worth at LEAST 2k to any tank worth his salt. /shrug I dunno, I'd LOVE to get these since I hardly have time for any Hate raids for Indicolite legs.

this stuff has decent ac but not for the lvl, if your high enough to get them you shouldn't be whereing legs like this still, they would be ok to give to a troll or oger alt, just to make him look pimp, but you couldn't where many piecies of this stuff its all real damm heavy, they only nice piece in my opinon is the cold steel bracer which has 14 ac which is good ac for a bracer up until high lvls and would be sellable for a bit of money the rest of the piecies would just kina be to make a tradeing ***** alt that didn't have to move much look cool

Ok i dont know who sent this in but it Does NOT drop in velks lab...Cold steel greaves, breastplate and arms all drop off of the kobold king in the warrens i know as i got several of each while working faction there with my alt. the apparence is black plate nice lobie stuff i was giving it away to whoever would use...I also hunt with my main in Velks all the time and have never seen this there

Something obtainable only to lvl 50+ should at least have a save or two, especially when it could double as an anchor. Don't get mme wrong, the AC is nice, but for this much weight, and this level to get, should be more to it. At least it's not no drop, so it can be sold to lowbies. My lvl 13 warrior would love these for about 300pp or so.

I as a Ranger am still wearing rygorr at 55. I also wear a cloak of the malestorm and self buffed im over 50 wt under still. SO at least i would wear them.

This item has ok AC Thats about it. Prob will sell for 2kpp. Once ur lvl 50 way more better Leg items are out there. Good for peeps under lvl 40. Way Way to heavy!

For a mid to high range this is great, lets be honest no warrior in their right mind has a low str at lvl 50, so loosing 20 weight to this isn't a big deal, my 52 warrior is about 60 under weight unbuffed and is almost always buffed up in battle...nice AC, and a little heavy, but so what?
Maybe this is intended to beef up lower levels? Since it's too heavy for a higher level to wear I could see it being sold to lower levels and the AC is significantly higher than something that a lower level could usually afford (for the price it would probably sell for). Of course, you better have a weigth reduction pack or it might end up on the ground.

what is Verant thinking? as a warrior I wouldnt wear that. imagine all the pieces.... you would be over 200 weight when ya get all the pieces... I think it is a componant for some other armor.

this item is useless for the lvl you get it so sell it to lower lvl players
Im sorry but why is this even in the game? its useless...its has ok ac and weight a ton but at the lvl you can get alot better items..Maybe im missing something...At that weight i dont even give it to my alts...Well Good hunting and Safe journey to all

Tiny item with 20 weight hmmmmmmm
First...this is NOT a flame...
But when was the last time you picked up two (approx) foot long steel items? Pretty damn heavy....though I will admit, the tiny is kinda strange. But I guess in relationship to Troll Sized Breastplates that are ranked medium they could be considered tiny.

DANG! ac 19, weight 20? not a good trade off for the average cleric i don't think
Maybe not the AVERAGE Cleric, but Dwarven clerics usually have a bit of STR to lug these around... And since good cleric legs are such a pain to find, my 51 Cleric actually uses these, was a nice upgrade to small ringmail.
