I regularly kite the area that Rockstorm spawns with my necromancer, so I have this drop (and rot) fairly frequently. To minimize the amount of these that go to rot, I often /ooc or tell general chat that they've just dropped. Fortunately, most of them have found their way into the hands of players that can use them.

However. The other day I had a ranger running to get one, and a level 69 cleric ran up and looted it. Yes, a cleric. I'm on the Rathe, so yes, it's no drop. When I asked him why he took it, he claimed that there was a quest that turned it into a caster item. He refused to say where or who gave the quest, or say anything more on the subject.

Now I'm fairly dubious about this - I've neither heard nor read anything of the sort. I strongly suspect he was either covering because he didn't want to admit he hadn't realized it wasn't cleric useable, or was just being an ***. Still, if anyone's heard anything about a quest like this, a heads up would be great.
