I was with most of my Guild getting our Seb key. Was a nice little event we all had fun with. A guildy said he was trying to make space in the bank and could not sell any of a bunch of items. This was one. He handed out about 20 items to us for free. He would not even take a donation I tried handing him privately after it was all said and done.
Its a really nice item to get for free from a guildy and what is harder to believe is that no one in the bazaar wanted to buy this at gimmee prices.
Only one other person at the event wanted it and they were nice enough to let me have it.
I hope one day I am able to return the kindness to another guildie.

why can't a druid use this!?! i was looking forward to making my friend get me one when i read the restrictions better and they can't use it! WHY!?!?! a ranger can but a druid cant? does not make any sense.

It makes perfect sense. Rangers can wear chain and Druids can't. If you don't like it then play another class. And about making your friend get you one well it sounds like your a pretty lousy friend because I guarantee that if your friend is high enough of a level to get this then he has much better things to do than collect items for a n00b Dr00d...

If you kill in WW, does that hurt ur CoV faction? im allied with them dont wanna mess that up. Thanks

You'll hurt your CoV faction baaad if you hunt dragons in WW yeah. Basically at the two raids Ive been in, we stopped killing dragons when those with ally faction dropped to kindly (which was like after maybe max 10 names ones plus some smaller adds). It took me two 3-4 hours of Kael Arena raids plus a few GD giants to fix the faction back to ally.

Ok a dragon is a living creature, so unless it is a (metal dragon) his wing would be leather type. Why is it chain type? Reinforced does not make it chain so why can't a druid or monk wear it?

IT's odd that you guys are wondering what dragons are "made" of. EQ, like most MMORPG games bases most of their mobs on D&D. There are several chromatic dragons. Even in mythology, dragons hide are supposedly as strong as steel. Hence the chain/plate look.
As far as "leather type" I think you're thinking of a dinosaur hide.
And for everyone guessing at drops, the named dragons of WW drop specific parts of specific quality. As well as Talismans of bonuses ranging from +4 to +6 or 7. (Good luck with Klandicar). THe higher level the dragon, the better loot. Yes. Escorpa of the Ring being the only exception.
Red to a 60 and drops a +4 talisman. She sucks.

Western Wastes. Killed 3 dragons there so far and got 2 worked pieces. The basic jist is Worked is very common, Reinforced is common, Heavy is uncommon, Peerless is rare, and Matchless is very rare.
Some people seem to think the harder the dragon the better the loot, but we killed 2 level 60 dragons and one 54ish dragon and didn't get any better loot off the 60's then the 54. Beieve me there is a huge difference in the thoughness of these dragons too. First one (60 ice) was though but doable, Second (60 fire) barely went down, and the last one (54 fire) we had 3 hound adds and still killed him. (BTW we had 24-30ish people with the highest being our 56 tank and the lowest being a 47 cleric)
Each piece has +1 to all it's stats and +10 to hp's and mp's, more then the last level.
For instance this is reinforcerd so the worked has ac:11 +3str +7wis, and Matchless has ac:15 +7str +11wis.
So if you want any of the dragon wing armor go kill dragons in WW.

Just wish it was druid useable since all the other wisdom casters and hybrids can use it. (not to mention it's a pretty nice cloak)

Almost as good as the UFO shield/cloak thingy (aegis of life or somthing like that. 12AC 10 (or is it 10) wis)
all wis casters should get this, no one else needs it.
