the sword procs 120dd stun and pushes mob to the edge of your range and sometimes a little bit further ,on raid situations this weapon could be used to position a mob better or worse,a very interesting weapon in the hands of a smart melee.it can do a nice taunt, but imo willsappers, wavecrashers and the warrior 2h epic would all be far superior in taunting. if you want to know more about the weapon look for me on E'ci server as Kancer .
A proc on this bad boy is better than a click effect. We all know that if you click something to cast a spell for you, and it isn't JBoots, that it takes FOREVER, while a proc is instantaneous. PERSONALLY, I prefer this as a proc, I wouldn't have to stop attacking to click it, which I would do while I cast the spell from the item. Just my 2cp, and I know, it ain't much.
I do not think weapons are concidered a waste on bards because they have no double attack. And it is not wasted on off hand either. I have parsed raids and have seen some of my bard friends rate very high on the damage scale. In one case we were all shocked when one bard friend who does not have an epic rated higher than most of the tanks. He has a 11/17 pri and 12/24 sec. When I see him fight I see him dual swing almost every time(I counted 1 time in 20 his left hand didn't chop down). Add in his exceptional haste and he swings as fast as my epic monk. That is a fantastic damage potential even w/out dbl attack.
He would love this as a secondary weapon. It has a slightly better ratio then what he has now, similar bonus stats and adds a VERY nice TRIGGERED(or perhaps proc iff the trigger is listed wrong) effect. so without lowering his primary damage ratio he can raise his secondary and add a super proc. If he scored in the top 10 tanks before then this can only help keep him in that ranking.
Besides I don't think you can say any of those three classes would not want and love a high ratio weapon with a stun effect. To have an extra chance to stop a caster from gating or casting some nasty spell is desired by all and 120 DD is a nice bonus.
the effect is a 120 DD with stun how all says already, its also a knockbak of 2 feet or so.
when i won the sword all says the sword have a high agro and its better for a tank but i must diagree, the agro on the sword is very low and if a mob is on me i can still evade,
Seeing as how you've posted 208 times on this site so far, it seems you should know that it says a hell of a lot of effects are triggered that are really random. Hell, it says (unless it's been fixed) that the Selo's Song of Travel on some bard BPs was a permenant effect. That would mean permenant levitate, invisible, see invisible, & faster than sow. I'm not saying the effect on this cutlass is or isn't triggered, i'm just saying to take that part of item info here w/ a grain of salt.
Shrieking Howl Stuns target for 4.0 (L1) seconds Decrease Hit Points (HP) by 120 (L1) Allowable Targets: All Resistance Check: Magic
120 magic based damage and a 4 second stun sounds pretty nice. Keep this bugger on your main tank. Seems like it would generate some serious taunt with the stun.
Hmm, speaking of taunt, pair this in secondary with the newly posted Spear of Constriction in primary and your Tank will be snaring with one hand, stunning with the other. How's that for Taunt increasing procs?
