Drops from the Bloodthirsty Racnor

This just dropped off the Bloodthirsty Racnor in Veeshan's Peak. He's the named velocoraptor near all the other ones.

Robe Casting Time

8.0 Sec Casting Time.

About as useful as SS Leggies, IMO....
a.k.a not very.

Then again, this was out before Velious so I can see where they thought they were throwing us a cookie.

Very few mages would be willing to spend DKP/Bank slot on this baby these days, at least ones that are in a VT key'd guild.
Casting time?

Does anyone know the casting time for the effect on the robe? How does it compare to the casting times of the various Velious robes? TIA.
Look on the Robe
# Sep 25 2001 at 10:32 AM Rating: Decent
This Robe looks similar to a Apothic Robe and the SS Robe but is alittle lighter. If you are on 7th Hammer and would like to check what is looks like on a Gnome send me a tell.
Color of Robe
# Sep 23 2001 at 12:32 AM Rating: Decent
Color of this robe is same as Apothic but maybe a slight tinge of orange added into it. I looted this just because it woulda rotted on the ground, I already have the Summoner's Robe from the Kael Magician Quest. Basically the Burning Rage Robe is just a suvenier of my first trip to VP about 6 weeks ago.

Lets compare this little mage robe to the Apothic Robe (Mage robe from Hate). Pretty much any mage who would be going to VP has an Apothic or something better...

This one : AC 14, Sta 10, Int 14, Mana 40, SvFire 5
Apothic : AC 11, Sta 12, Dex 5, Int 14, Mana 40

Going from apothic to this :
Gain 3 AC, 5 SvFire and free BO3 (BO3 = 150 mana, duration 15 minutes)
Lose 2 Sta, 5 Dex

AC = irrelevant. A mage should be taking hits at this level, and if he is 3 AC isn't going to make a difference - he is paste in seconds.

SvFire - nice, but minor

Sta - couple HPs, doesn't matter.

Dex - how many mages are meleeing with procing weapons?

In other words - the only significant change from an Apothic is the effect. One that is available elsewhere for far less effort.

Remember how EQ works though. By the time you can earn yourself any item in the game you need something better because if you try to make do with what you have, you'll get dead pretty quick. Also rather frustrating when you lose every drop that comes along anyway, and therefore aren't making any decent change (me, and I seriously do lose every roll when it counts, I've won one roll on Hand Woven Shoulder Guards in the Sarnak fort in LOIO a while back, that says it all, heh).
Look?

Nice robe, might anybody have a screenshot of somebody wearing it or just a description of what it looks like?

Decent... I'm not gonna complain about the proc, in part cuz I'd like to know the ACTUAL number of folks who have had the chance to loot 2 of the pieces with the same proc. I'd guess less than a dozen in all the servers. I'm just hoping I get lucky enough to get one of those pieces.

BO III again!?
# Sep 12 2001 at 12:18 PM Rating: Decent
Why in the world do we need another robe with burnout 3 on it? Dont get me wrong, not a bad robe otherwise, but some effect other than the same 3 on every single piece of equipment would be nice.
