Why can't they put some decent, usable stuff in this game? By the time you can kill Glubbsink, you probably already have a better weapon, and the enduring breath effect is only good if you don't get that spell and need to dive deep underwater for some reason. The rarity of the drop means it isn't worth camping, either. Why don't they just remove this worthless mob and drop from the game altogether or upgrade it so it is worth waiting to make the kill? The only thing I can see being useful about this is if it is part of a much larger quest for something else.

incorrect it is a VERY good enchanter - Magic weapon to prevent charm breaks. It is lore which is fine because you should only be placing 1 weapon on a charmed monster anyways to prevent quading against you but enabling quading against other monsters.

Would be interesting to test how much impact -5MR has on charm breaks for TLP lower level enchanters. Enchanter's lowest tash spell at level 2 gives -6MR levelling up to -18 at level 9 and worn MR would stack with the debuff. So -5MR would definitely have an effect. But is it worth the effort to camp this mob seeing how this drop is his "rare" drop.
Interesting how old world stuff would often have negative stats but they just don't do that anymore. Could be aggravating when a weapon might have a nice ratio but it would have negative STR or STA or even -100 HPs! Imagine if they did that today and put -25000 HPs on a nice raid 2-hander...
I was running with a friend to the boat when we saw this guy going by. Didn't think much about him at first but decided to take him out. He con'ed even to me at 15 and my friend was 14. Didn't take long to finish him off. I got the spear and sold it to a merchant next to the docks. Didn't care for the stats.
Glubbsink shows up at the BB docks between the FP docks and the docks in the middle (NOT the Kunark docks). He comes out of the water, and I'd say it is 45 minutes between each spawn. He RARELY holds the spear. I was there for 8 hours one day, killed him 11 times or so, didn't get it once. The next day, first kill, I got the spear, and for the next 11 hours I never saw him spawn with the spear again. He also usually has a Rusty Spear if he doesn't have this one. So don't get your hopes up if you see him with a spear, it is more than likely a Rusty Spear.
This item is not 'ALL' races. As can not quite clearly be seen in the above picture, there is a list of races. Erudites and High Elves do NOT appear on the list of races able to use this weapon.
