# Jun 01 2005 at 10:41 AM Rating: Decent
Is it just me, or is the price listed here just a bit too excessive??

I got this guy the other day in SBM. I was after the skins for my chanter and this guy popped. He conned light blue at 53 and went down easy. He didnt drop a skin but he dropped 2 pairs of these. Too bad I was alone and no one else was in the zone. Smiley: disappointed I later sold these in the Bazaar for 1k on Sol Ro. Nice monk legs IMHO.

Well, actually, for a monk, these leggings are better than the ones you mentioned. These have stats a monk needs.

what is the actual name of the leggings?

only leggings i have are black chitin leggings...

also, are they woodelf druid equippable?
RE: grays
# Mar 14 2003 at 6:25 AM Rating: Decent
If they are all/all they are all/all yes anyone can equip it
Easy kill, as are all the titians
# Mar 27 2002 at 7:42 PM Rating: Decent
It goes like this for all the titians for me. Buff up with sheild of the magi, dmf, j-boots, and steele skin. Pull with bond of death, and while they try to break through steeleskin, land Splurt and Cor. Then fear and finish with ignite blood and envenomed bolt. If by chance they break fear, run or refear. Usually dead inside 45 sec. Sometimes I pet up to deal with add's, but not very offten.

The trouble is finding them..........
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 21 2002 at 1:09 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Some guy was trying to sell these for 800pp on my server recently. Obviously he doesn't know that Nathsar Leggings are about the same price and a lot better. Heck, these aren't much better than Wu's pants that sell for 50pp.
nice
# Jan 27 2002 at 5:32 PM Rating: Default
currently i WAS using black pantherskin legs but sold for 5k and bought a kd and a wu stick and crystal spider eyes. soooo i wanna buy these on SOLUSEK RO send me a tell i'm usually on every day
Looks like normal leather on an Erudite
# Sep 13 2001 at 2:04 PM Rating: Decent
Fought Prowler of the Jungle near the Kejekan city and their shamans HEALED it. Figured out later after we get the faction hits that the cats seem to like this big kitty. These leggings dropped and looked like normal leather on an Erudite.

legs

If your an int caster, get one of the many cheesy int leggings available now, and by many i mean three. Giant scalemail legs, those wurmy legs off wurms, and loam encrusted, those are the three droppable ones i know of. Seems like this was meant for monks in general, or rather, farmed by another class and bought for a monk twink most likely

the mob was green to me at lvl 52 could not be rooted or snared looked like a big snow leopard i dont recall the full name of it but i did get xp for it and had to have a druid heal me for it hit over 100 ish and took about 5 ice comets

my opinion
# Sep 04 2001 at 2:22 PM Rating: Excellent
I personally think shiver is a tad better then these because of the save fire. But overall, those shiverback legs suck. If the entire set is that bad (many planer sets have one or two crap pieces and the rest is good) it seriously needs fixing. after all these are from a low-midlevel zone after all.
Not bad
# Sep 04 2001 at 11:23 AM Rating: Decent
These legs are pretty good! They are comparable to Drake Hide which sells for 250-350pp on Druzzil Ro (that is a general price, you can do better or worse). While these are still rare, you could probably get 500 easy on these pants.

Female Dark Elves in Leopardskin pants, I'm pretty sure this is a Verant Milestone in their quest to create the ideal game...
#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 04 2001 at 8:57 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hehe these legs sell for 25-100pp. Get a PC in game.
RE: Not bad
# Sep 05 2001 at 5:11 AM Rating: Default
You have to be silly if you think someone would not at least pay 300 for these. For just the AC +8agi and 0.4 weight, a monk would pay 300pp quickly. If someone is willing to pay 300pp for a forest loop??? It has to be worth something...
Not exactly midlvl
# Sep 04 2001 at 9:08 AM Rating: Decent
If this drops off one of the spirit guardians/titans then I would hardly call it midlvl... but I guess this makes it obvious to everyone that shiverback is shivercrap.
At least VI raised the weight limit for all our poor pet monkeys (got mine a Fine Silk Turban the other day - he was very happy)

Prowling Leopard Leggings likely drop off Prowling Leopards.
Ouch!
# Sep 04 2001 at 8:08 AM Rating: Decent
I'm surprised this is better than planar armor. Probably drops more frequent too ;) Perhaps Verant will revisit the Shiverback armor now that it's obvious that it sucks compared to A LOT of drops all over the rest of the gaming world.

Nice mid-level loot btw!
Looks

I can't believe people actually want this to look like leopardskin! Do you all really want the **** star look on your characters? Why can't you all act like nice wholesome folks and just wear stuff that looks like leather...actually, I guess leather isn't actually stuff you se on the girl next door.
RE: Looks
# Sep 04 2001 at 12:21 PM Rating: Default
Yes, I do want the **** star look for my characters... especially my female dark elf warrior. And can you imagine the blonde wood elf chick in leapord skin pants?? BTW, I live in the Los Angeles area, and depending on which neighborhood you live in, the girl next door does wear leather...:-)

Sigh ....

Another midlevel all/all item that is better than Shiverback, our planar set.

Powling Leopard Leggins AC 6, Sta 3 Agi 8, Wgt 0.4
Shiverback-hide Leggins AC 5, Wis 5 Agi 5 SvF 7, Wgt 0.1

/rude VI
I can hear it now....

Everquest presents: Prowling Leopard, Hidden Dragon =P Here's hoping they look like leopardskin. They'd look great on my noob ranger
Creature?
# Sep 04 2001 at 12:34 AM Rating: Decent
What drops it?
RE: Creature?
# Sep 04 2001 at 8:18 AM Rating: Decent
I believe they're dropped by Jungle Prowler. One of the Titans, so you'll lose faction with the Kejekans and temple of Quellious if you kill 'em.
looks?
# Sep 03 2001 at 8:54 PM Rating: Decent
Waht does this one look like? does anyone have a picture?
Hmm...
# Sep 03 2001 at 3:33 PM Rating: Good
Since it is usable by all classes and races, I will point out that Int-casters can make good use of these lightweight legs which have very nice stats. And, of course, monks would appreciate the nice AC, stats, and weight. For many other classes, the availability of higher AC items reduces the value of these, though I'm sure any class would be glad to use them.
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 03 2001 at 12:09 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Monk!
Look?
