If you look at the details about the pets the spirit of arag is BLpet49 and spirit of sorsha is BLpet51 which are not high enough level for the focus to affect. The first pet that this focus will work on for beastlord is level 68 pet spirit of alludnu BLpet67.

Actually, it is based off YOUR lvl 59 spell and up, not the pet level.

Went and farmed one of these tonight. before equipping it, I cast the lvl 59 necro pet emmisary of thule. The spell produced a lvl 47 spectre pet. I dismissed the pet, equipped the belt and recast. The spell produced a lvl 50 spectre pet. 3 lvl difference with focus effect. Very much worth going after in my opinion. Good Luck.

The focus effect is not working. Pet still hits for the same amount of damage.

this item doesn't seem to be working. My lvl 64 warder hits for 79 with summoners boon and 77 with mod. Pet cons dark blue with summoners boon and lt blue with mod. Something is messed up.

Minion of Darkness does NOT work on Beastlords Spirit of Araga and Spirit of Sorsha spell level 62 and 64 pets which is retarded but true. This is true for any item that has Minion of darkness focus including the RSS and DoN Vendor ranged items,

Minion of Darkness is better than Summoner's Boon. The variableness of summoned pets probably affected your comparison. Doing the test a bunch of times with each focus equipped will give a more accurate comparison.
