I play a monk and have played a druid as well as an enchanter and ranger to mid levels, and the only thing I think is more annoying than people saying an item is for this class or that class, is to see five times as many people complain when a monk says they think something is great for them. I wish all posts where anyone says an item is great for any class would be deleted and thus a lot of time saved when downloading item descriptions, to look for useful information.

Seriously though this looks like UBER gear for ALL classes except for anyone who doesn't want AC... to you people I ask "what is wrong with you?":) (30 AC is rare find)

I don't think it's that they're crazy and that they don't think it's for anyone else, I think it's just the fact that we're just sick of hearing 'OMG, it's a monk item' just because of weight and hp. An item is an item, weight means lot to a LOT of classes. Pure casters, monks, weak race clerics all want the lowest weight items they can get, but you don't hear anyone but monks screaming the weight issue =P
Yes, I can see how all classes would need room on their weight, but at the level required to get this, I'm guessing even a "pansy" chanter will have Str up in the 100 range at least. That's 76 more stone than a 60 monk is allowed to carry before suffering major hits to AC. Monks scream about weight because it's a huge issue for us. The Cripple spell lowers AC by approx 30 points ( I know it does other things as well ). Carrying 6 extra stone ( for a whopping total of 26 ) lowers my AC by 30 points. And it doesn't make a bit of difference that I run around unbuffed at 169 Str.
As far as the ALL/ALL determining who "should" get an item, that's ridiculous. There are plenty of ALL/ALL items that would clearly better benefit one class much more then any of the others. Take a look at "Ancient Wyvern Hide Tunic", for example. It's ALL/ALL. You don't think an Int caster or a Wis caster can find a better robe? One with Mana or an appropriate stat boost? Or maybe you advocate a plate class wearing this? I'm not saying that this item clearly benefits one class over any others, but to say that simply because an item is tagged ALL/ALL means that everyone derives equal comparative benefits from it is assinine.
Lastly, as has already been pointed out, this isn't something anyone will ever be "rolling on" like it dropped in some pick up group in KC. The raid/guild leader will either offer it up for members to spend points on, or they will have decided long before the raid even starts who should get it if it drops.

I know this is over-said, but this is definatly a Monk item. However...not a Monk only item as some other Monks say. It is great for nearly all Classes, but the 0.0 wt is definatly a Monk signature and the high AC and stats make it even better. Just amazing is all i can say...
I don't know if he'd ever have a chance to get it, but my cleric would love to have that mask...
Would this mask go to melees only, or would casters get a chance at it? I don't know what other kinds of masks are out there at this lvl of the game...

FYI Velantrol...
Even mentioning this in the same sentence as a plat ruby veil is beyond pathetic...using it as a basis for determining that a caster shouldnt get this is far worse..there are no words to describe that level of stupidity.
