Yes, that is a great deal, and if you ever get tired of them I'll buy them for that price, I'm sure on any server you play on they're worth far more than you payed.

Yes, you recieved a great deal. Regardless of the ease which just about any 35+ player can solo those two items, the spawns are long and boring.

I'd never sell the sleeves for less than 150pp no matter what. I don't care if I'm level 60 and killed the mob with one spell... I still had to travel all the way there and sit in the room for over two hours to get it to drop. Time is money after all.

I solo'ed the gator, scrier, squire, elementalist, warden and spiders in Guk for several hours continually for about 7 days during my 30's. All I got out of it was one fork, two pants, one sleeve, a few grass bracers, three shields, one pair of gloves, one breastplate and one elemental potion. Every one of those items are being worn by my alts, and I would not sell them unless I got market value.

So YES I believe you did well in that trade.

Fennin Ro - EQ I

Ardnahoy II
Fearless Guardian of the 40th Tour

I was camping the crested helm and clearing the graveyard to kill time. Imp popped and i got this.. nice bonus.
Are you sure its worth this much

Um just recently I bought this from a guy for 15pp. I didn't even know how bad I was ripping the poor man off. Is it really worth 400pp cause it doesn't have the stats for it, thats what I think.

For a rogue, there are better weapons out there. For an Int caster, the damage/delay ratio means nothing when compared to the 5 Int. Given the rarity of the item, and where it comes from, 400 pp isn't too bad. A 5 Int ring will cost about that much, if not more depending on the seller.

This is still a nice Necro item

With it's decent damage ratio and +5 INT, it is one of the better items for primary for a necro, that still allows you to melee for it's price.

One of the things I disliked was having to swap out my dagger and my totem or stein cuz I wanted to get a few blows of melee in. This is like carrying a harvester or totem and still being able to melee. I recently sold a 5 INt totem to get one of these, and think it's a great tradeoff.

RE: Silly question, but . . .
# Apr 25 2001 at 3:42 PM Rating: Default

Yeah, dagger of marnek is awesome. Too bad there are not easy to get range slot items with stats like that for other casters. my cleric had to settle for a small wisdom deity, which is only 2wis and costs 200pp or so.
