i was farming pelts in SB at 75% hp 1600 (lvl52 sk)he was dark blue so i tried to pull him in darkness lol he resisted 3 times so i went for life taps and pure meellee i did have my pet up hes a lvl39 skelly and double hits for 39. with all that he took some killing he didnt flee untill 4% and he still had a good pace then. u would need a sow to keep up with him. when he did go down the sandals droped nice addition for a days farming ;)be warned fellow SK dooming darkness will fail ;)
I don't believe there is a place holder; much of what I've read is that you should do a mass slaughter in the zone and wait for one of the titans to pop. One person has written about killing cats to get Snowbeast to spawn, killing panda to get Giang Yin to spawn, etc., but I don't know if that's coincidental or not.
I spent last night tracking titans for a guild mate (55 mage), and I was killing a lot of dark blue tigers, pandas, and gorillas.
And Snowbeast, when he finally popped, did drop 2 Footpads.
Was going to get my corpse got agroed... Pass snowbeast from a distance got my corpse went invis went looking for him, he snuck up on me. He is in the titan class... So he cannot be snared or darked. He dropped my twinked out sk lvl 41 in bout 2 mins. Feared him, then feared again didnt last to long. End of story dead. lol. Btw end note titan classes see invis :) Conned dark blue at 41... Undercon big time!!
51 druid just Sow and Skin on and i dropped him like a Stone, target is Immune to changes in run speed run for a while cast a dot run a while cast the next (cycled drifting death and immolate) he hit me a few times on drifting death casting (time to cast is a bit long on that spell) but i only lost about 97 a cast nothing big when you have 2010 hp with a 2 point regen from skin and normal 2points (adding to 4 hehe) it was a run in the park, he drops a skin a tooth and the footpads. 25 beasty of mine is kinda happy
I just got a pair of these footpads today and they DO have a graphic. They look like any regular kind of Monk specific armor shoes. (such as cured silk, wu's fighting, crescent, or steel threaded)
Maybe someone can help me out with a comparison here. I'm currently looking to buy either a pair of Iksar boots or Footpads. As a monk I would think the ac would be more important than the str. And you also get higher HP with the Iksar. So what I guess I'm asking, are the Footpads that much better?
Secondly, would the Striped Raptor Hide be a good upgrade from either of the two or would you recommend something else?
The price of these things have change, people still try and charge around 3k for them. I highly recommned that anyone who wants these go get themselves a pair of Acrylia Studded or reinforced boots. Better AC and stats and they go for around 1k.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'd much prefer these things over any Acrylia boots for my monk. Yes, the acrylia boots have nice stats, but the WEIGHT is a big factor, also. I'd rather have a pair of 0.1 lb boots on, over a pair of 0.70 (or even higher for that matter). Just my 2cp worth.
I would preffer Footpads to any acrylia feet. You get AGI bonus on the footpads which you dont on the 2 acylia items, also the strength bonus is higher
I am wondering what is better between this and the Black Pantherskin Boots(7 AC STR 9 AGI 5 DEX 5) 1 AC and 5 dex vs. 15 hp and 1 str. i also believe footpads are slightly lighter. PC on this(Karana server anyway) is 3k5 and Boots were 4k but now 3k and up since a newer patch. If i had a choice I would take Footpads, but BPSkin are much more available to me, 220+ tailors can make easily, my friend will make for about 2k5 if i provide bonings for it, 1k5 if i provide yew leaves. I suppose if you can get these easily, then go for it, if not Blak Pantherskin is a fine substitute. Dont forget that hot black look on the BPskin either :P

Both are excellent choices for monks. Personally, I'm willing to tote a little extra weight and give up a few hit points for the DEX. The availability of course makes the panther skin boots more attractive too.
I was killing gorillas hoping to get Old Ghostback's skin when I saw him on track. When I killed him he had 3 pair of the footpad's and nothing else. I looted one, announced OOC his bod's loc and went back to killin gorilla's. Monk ran all the way from the Warrens zone to loot a pair. He was a very happy monk. Nice feet for a 22 level non twink.
solod him: ruined cat pelt 2 giant sabertooth fangs some nodrop pelt no footpads boo!
He smokes jboots but selo's with nothing more than a combine drum and you can run backwards as fast, anyhow took awhile cause I switched to a safer twist after losing selo's on the bard bug and getting clobbered from behind a few times but still under 10 min. A lot of adds but they all run much slower than he does so just drag him behind you and eventually any adds will be so far away they forget you. I was the only one in the zone so I drug him all the way from the snowline down to the warrens entrance and ended up kiting him in circles there to avoid all the adds in this atrocious zone. Never tried chains (snare) but he resisted magic about 1/3 of the time and fire maybe 1/5 of the time, he did run when low health, when he was VERY low, but probably because I was at 2 bubs of health myself. Blue at 42, faction hit with kejek village.
1) no graphic 2) not sure on drop rate. I killed him about 3 monthes back and he dropped 2 pair. this was the common report, 2-3pair per kill, at the time.
I don't have a graphic either, however I used to kill snowbeast for his pelt. I killed him numerous times...I believe he dropped a total of 4 slippers for me. 3 went to friends but one time he dropped 2 at once so i gave them to the only other person in the zone at the time.
I think it's safe to assume on average it's a 50/50 shot at them dropping.
Lvl 40 monk 40 druid and 39 druid dropped Snowbeast no problems. We have killed him twice in the last 4 days... no boots either time.. have they become rare items? And how often does he spawn?
52 war (me), 55 ranger, and 38 druid killed him last night...no boots =(
we did get 2 hides and 1 fang for the erudin quest. I told the druid to gate b4 the kill due to faction (still doing the heritic quest). One kill of the kitty took me down 1 faction level.
Took down Giang Yin tonight with 41 shaman (me), 43 ranger, and 39 warrior. Wasnt easy, but wasnt terribly tough either. Panda is supposed to be the highest level titan, but with the right planning he can be taken. Kitty's in for a bad day tomorrow.
Killed this kitty tonight with a 49wiz, 42 dru (me), and a 54 wiz. Kitty went down fairly well, couldn't snare it at all though, kept resisting. Just ran kitty around and wizzies nuked it, got in a couple of my own. All in all, went down quickly without a hitch; somehow got lucky and won the roll. The trail from water to kitty town will be crossed by this mob at some time, not sure where it spawned, but it walked over trail twice, back and forth. Hope this helps.

I can't believe people wouldn't want a pair of these for their VAH BST twinks. Anywho, give Santir/Mecism/Gobblins a hollar if you are interested in a pair of these on Rallos. I will let them go for 1.5k or reasonable trades. Thanks and have a great day.

e and my brother share accounts. He was on his level 26 druid when somone shouted that there was a free pair of these on some mob. He went and picked them up and is giving them to my 21 monk!
Thanks

Everytime they add a zone, they add some insane item.. attainable, or not, by an individual with a life at all. (I.E. Anything from Sleepers is a freaking joke. If YOU want to camp out, for a game, for a week or so IRL after you spend 6months - a year getting keys, fine, keeps more idiots off the streets). And to those that want to flame me instantly telling me how lame I am because you already did this, that, and the other thing twice, well, bravo! Uber loosers that you are.
For those of you who have taken this bad boy down do you think there is any way a fairly well equipped (but wu slipper wearing) 48 monk and a 54 cleric could take this mean kitty down with the help of a mid lvl ranger for tracking? I assume so, unless he hits a ton. I may be able to persuade a 52 druid to help as well if needed. Also how rare is he? Am I looking at an AC camp here, or is it not so bad? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Me (monk lvl35) and my friend Medwurst lvl 45 druid fear kited down this bugger, took about 60% mana (including druid fearing away adders, and healing himself). Took us about 10 mins to down him but when he dropped the booties it was all worth it. Before we got him we saw a lvl52 druid fail to kill him so we knew he was kinda MR. Just fear and have SoW on and he will die eventually, he cannot be snared or rooted so no need to try this. Also think these boots are worth alot because there are not much better boots available with STR on until you can either do your Veliuos quest armor, get pantherskin, go to ToV or Sebilis or kill DoljAndTheRestOfHisName in Velketor.
So wait. A druid can animal fear this bugger? Awesome. Think I'll DoT him, then charm him, then DoT him, then Charm him again. ***** fear, that can get damned messy.
Animal fear works only on animals, and same with animal charm. They will work on the same mobs as one another. I'll test this theory and post my results. So far, only seen Ghostback in Stonebrunt so far...
