Who is Rathnor?

I so happen to know that Rathnor is a level 7 Dark Elven Cleric, in a crystalline robe, on Rallos Zek. I also know that Rathnor spends most of his time in Thurgadin, honing his extensive skill in trade skills.

For those of us with Masochistic tendencies regarding our bank accounts and too much skill in smithing, how are velium-forged weapons made? Can we get a recipe.

Recipe for most velium Weapons is the same mlds used for non-velium and a sheet of velium, this si made with 2 small bricks of velium plus a velium temper. Javelin Mold + Sheet of Velium + Velium Temper = 15 of these Throwing Spears/Javelins

I don't know if you noticed but for doing this you need to be master smith (around 175)

On stack cost 70pp just for the temper cost

That mean a tailor will sell a stack around 100 pp in better casse.

5pp for 1 shoot look expensive doesn't it ??

Um tailoring isnt the skill used, and these trivial around 120.

Standard range of most spells is 200. This is 215, which makes it a nice long range pulling device (more range = better chance of single pull).

However, also consider good bows and arrows. Fletchers can make 150 range bows and 150 range arrows, for a total of 300 range on a bow shot.

umm...first of all, bows aren't added with arrows on disstance you can shoot...if you equip a 20 range arrow with your 200 range bow from plane of air(ranger only one i know of)...you will only shoot for a range of 20...spells are only about range 100, because my trueshot can outrange most spells at only that much...after that much, you're giving the caster a run for their money, because 150 to 200 range is awesome on a range slot item...i know on range, because i can throw 55 range hammers summoned by the bracer of hammerfall and shoot around the same distance loading 50 range arrows in my trueshot...so as far as i know, the range isn't cumulative, i could redo my research and whatnot, but i'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way

Hi,

thats wrong, i got a magic bow with 175 range and
arrows with 150 range. if i use it to pull a mob
with highest range, i am outside the agro range.
i lost mobs sometimes then the range is to high
to get a agro on me, the mob run in diferend ways :)

YES! most caster spell ranges are 200(look it up) and yes my lvl 14 rogue (during guild wars) has kited MANY HIGHER casters by simply having the bow(125) and arrows(150) to out-range them(total 275). the advantage of bow (fire on the run) while casters must stand still to cast. this was some time ago, like a year and half) but i am sure the same still holds true as i read every patch message and saw nothing about them nerfing archery ranges.

simply step out of casting range while they cast and maintain distance. bear in mind that high dmg wizzy spells have enourmous cast times (usually) giving you plenty of time to get out of range while they cast if decent head-start is maintained. i normally run backwards most all the time and get cast upon very few times. by the time they are half health, they will flee or gate. and for obvious reasons, u may wanna use a see invis item.

I had heard that magical bows added the range of the arrow to the bow range, which was the one benifit of them being magical. And I know for a fact that it doesn't just take the range of a bow as mmy pally used the bow from the Shakryn (?) Meadowgreen the wandering centaur in SK for a while with 25 range arrows and they shoot a lot longer then 25'

Well it sure doesn't work like THAT. Equip a hunting bow with regular arrows, and then a higher level bow (mine's the Spectral from Trak), with the same arrows you'll shoot from much further. May not be as far as possible with higher range arrows, but it's not limited to 20.

Haven't sold any yet, i guess 375pp is a bit much for a stack, but it can be much cheaper if bricks are supplied.

215 range. That's a lot. Too bad they cost a nice heap thanks to the cost of the Velium temper.
