I hate to say it but I have seen a Warrior with 2205 ac and 7800 plus hps. So to the point of monks being more uber with high end gear, your sinply wrong, warriors will always carry more hps and ac then any other class in game. It depends on the gear. I play an SK and I have more hps and ac then a lot of warriors and monks. Remember its "all in the gear' and a little of what you started with.

Seems to me somethin like this should be another no drop piece, not like it matters, if you did take Tormax down you certainly didnt do it alone...just think about what your friends in Uber Guild "X" would do when they heard you sold them

FYI Relg is a ranger on Rallos Zek and would not post a fake item. Furthermore, if they still do loots like they did before they formed the guild, loot is decided on an hours-based system, so that the people who go to the most events get first choice on loot, the result of which is a loss of available hours to 'spend.'

These are the best for any of the classes listed really and this is kind of one of the reasons why I quit EQ.

In the very high level game you go and get stuff like this with like 45 people. Maybe enough things drop for 3 or 4 people yet 45 - 60 are there. Your guild has to either let everyone who can use roll (which is looked upon poorly by freaks who attend every guild event) or they have to have some convoluted "tier" system which is also pretty unfair and often biased and by "feeling" rather than real participation (and of course excludes anyone with a life who can't make every guild event)

An item like this off of King tormax, your guild is probably going to get like once. Its going to have a lot of other stuff to do and maybe get back to king tormax some year. Of course now you can't supposedly charm giants to beat on other giants in kael as well so he is not going to be as easy to kill either.

So via rolling which will make lots of people mad or via a tier system/rolling combo which will make everyone mad who participates a lot but is not at the very top, one person will get these very rare very good gloves. If the guild, as they often do, uses ANY system but just free rolling what happens is that pretty much the same uber people within the guild get best item after best item. To cap that off many are not droppable (these are but you probably can't picture the person getting anything better in the forseeable future)

I think this makes EQ very, very broken. There is no way to distribute such things fairly and the same classes or same people will always go without.

For example, as with these items, hardly no uber loot is druid only or even includes druid and if ANY is its also cleric shaman and somebody else. This makes druid one of the least rewarded classes of all since no matter what convoluted system your guild uses on these RARE items that a druid CAN use its going to be competing with a VERY high reward class like clerics. I don't know about your guild but I never once heard my guild say, "But since our druids have jack crap, they should be the only ones to roll." Instead we 54 - 60 level druids, virtually none of us with ANY kind of planes armor in our main body parts (tunic or legs), but instead wearing our "uber" shrouds of nature, kromriff military leggings (a quest which I found on allakhazams 30 minutes after it was posted by someone I LOVE WHOEVER YOU ARE ;) then made DANG SURE that every druid in my guild heard about it and got help getting them) and in some cases even a BCP (oh the shame...) have to often roll against the clerics in our guild who have not ONE, but TWO ENTIRE SETS OF PLANE ARMOR, first ethreal and now POG.

Broken broken broken I say.
The only thing that would save this game, or make me consider starting my account up again, was if in Luclin instead of having this SUPER UBER fantastic loot that drops once in a billion off a super duper uber mob, they had much lower versions of loot like this that you could get in a quest a couple people could help you with or a mob a couple people could help you kill.

An example of what I'm talking about are the coldain gloves and boots in thurg. Those are a very good quest which was done a few times by my druid, another druid and an sk buddy of ours. We all got a pair of the gloves and boots. We two druids of course, not having anything even remotely that uber at level 54 or 55, wore ours while the sk traded his for something he wanted or for money. It was a good fairly instant reward quest only based upon the difficulty of the mob but it was not so difficult that 3 middle 50's people could not do it at some risk. If there were more quests or mobs like that, my druid would never complain about planes gear but there are not.

I think, more likely than not, that Luclin will once again have trashy items which are very low level then super uber items like these gloves here which are off a super mob that it takes an entire guild to kill to reward 2 people yet have NOTHING in the middle which a few people can quest for/kill for. EQ just always misses the mark in that way and just keeps adding more and more uber stuff for an entire army to have to fight over. It would be like if you were a barbarian hoarde and completely sacked rome and you got 4 things to distribute amongst your hoarde.
