Is there any real use to getting a cleric drunk???
If so plz post this seems like a cool item but when do you need to be drunk. I wouldn't think drunkeness would help a clerics healing capabilities.

Man i am a dwarf cleric. When is a dwarf cleric not supposeed to be drunk? I am constantly summoning ale and giving it out when i am in cities or on down time. I don't drink when i am fighting because it hurts my wisdom too much. But you bettter believe that if I am sitting in town doing nothing then i am also drinking away.

Anybody who knows their European and American history knows that RL monks have always been famous for thier alcohol consumption. I think it fits nicely :)

The Holy Ale of Brell is not no-drop. A cleric can summon stacks and stacks of ale to pass around to anyone.

Last I knew all iksars worshipped Cazic. I'm pretty sure he was making fun of people who say "I'm an X why can't I use this."

I thought Halfling Clerics only had the choice of worshipping Bristlebane. At least that's the only temple in Rivervale. Anyone confirm?
Yes, thats the truth. I once made a haffin hopin he could follow brell, and got him to level 3 before I noticed. Hopefully haffwings will get their own.

My Dwarf Pally worships Brell, too. Infact it is the only god I was given a choice to worship. Why can't pallies use this, too? Strange

I'm pretty sure that all the symbols are only priest wearable (ie shaman cleric druid ) though I is true that paladins share alot of cleric gear.

Verant hates the Tribunal, I have decided - they put in initiate quests for tribunal, CT, and inny, then continued inny and CT up to 2nd and 3rd levels, then they added tunare 1-3, and brell serilis 1 and 2 at least - and tribunal is still at 1! why is that exactly? I would rather not have any implementation then a half assed one - any information about other symbols would be wonderful for the tribunal followers such as myself... ah well...

I concur. I worship Bertoxxulous, whose minions are still limited to the Initiate level. I'm a Gnecro and did the quest anyway, even though it's CLR HUM/GNM only.
First of all: no cleric is gonna worship Bertox. Being a human or gnome cleric is hard enough, no one is going to add to their woes by worshipping an evil god. Where the hell would you get your spells?
So... why not let Bertox's TRUE field hands use these bad boys?

What you say is true, but they did provide us with very nice Imbued Ivory jewelry, which is Tribunal-only. Most religions have no equivalent. The Platinum Imbued Ivory Necklace is, except for the lack of an effect, likely better than any symbol we're going to get. So enjoy it!

Actually there are 3 for Tunare...
I know this can't be equipped by a non-cleric, but if say, a pally just had it in his inventory, could he use the r-click effect? (He can always ask someone else for summoned water...)

As with all of the Initiate / Disciple / Regent / Warden / (Your deity's third level here) Symbols, you must have the item equipped and be standing in order to activate it.

Despite I kind of question this items worth (you could easily have better neck items untwinked) RP effects are great. Too bad my druid cant use.

This summons 1 stack of Holy Ale of Brell per casting, and requires 1 summoned water as a component. The ale itself is strong stuff, it floored my enchanter in about 3 swigs.
Not a terribly useful effect (like the Inny symbols have) in terms of item power, but its by far my favorite symbol just for the RP value.

Inny symbols are nice but not that nice... U realize it takes like 15 sec to cast the darkness. I thought the Inny symbols were awesome and I helped my friend get them. He used them for a bit, but soon replaced them. I would hope that by lvl 30 U would have better than +7ac ~4wis neck item, thats why Brell items is nice cause its just for show.

All I gotta say is this... if not an ac 7 neck with 3 wis and 15 mana, what? Chryso Talisman? More mana but less AC. BA medallion? Still less AC. Gob Soul Caller? Face it, they're really pretty freakin good items, even if their effect is just candy. Oh, and by the way, the cazic effects aren't just candy. I solo red kittys in OT with the Disciple Symbol on my shaman.

I love the Symbol, I've had it for 2 days now and already have my alcohol tolerance to 195. when I med between fights I drink a toast to the Mighty Brell Duke of Downbelow.
