I hate to tell you but it is very well possible to sell the no-drop items, just get the money from the person and let them loot the body, I have done it many times for a bit of pp in LOIO.
Ya know, far be it from me to jump on the Whine-train but... I love helping newbs with Hand-made banded and decent weapons, but when a newly-guilded SK turns down FINE PLATE because she wants Flayed and the FP is not GOOD enough...

Why would an Iksar warrior be able to wear banded but not plate? At first, I figured that plate would not work with the Iksar's physical contours... but then why would banded work? It seems that banded would serve similar physical constraints to plate. Bronze too, for that matter. Why can my Iksar necro not wear golden chiten bracers? Do they somehow not fit on my wrist when they fit on the wrists of everything from gnomes to trolls? This is very confusing. Oh well, Iksar necros don't make very good low level necros due to the int and equiptment restrictions. We still make the best high level necros though. Go regen! :)
Iksar are a reptillian race, and that makes them susceptible to overheating. so they need to wear clothing/armor that can allow air to reach thier scaley hides, so they dont die from overheating.
thats just from a roleplay perspective.. dont flame me too much 8)

FYI. Royal Velium Frosted fits most Chain Classes. It's not a plate armour but a chain. The PoG armour is the same way along with KD and other SOV quest armour.
I know this is WAY off the topic but what the hell =) Royal Velium is not plate despite the graphic. It is a metal created from Velium which is basically ice. Not only would this circumvent the over heating issue but over time I figure it would melt and conture to the wearer's body therefore passing the chafing issue.
