I hate threads that contemplate what an item would be worth if it wasn't NO DROP, because its a futile and stupid exercise for the simple fact that this item IS no drop!! BUT, since you started it, I will play the game too =) hehe
Does anyone really know what priceless means?? It means no amount of money can equivalate to the items value. Someone said that you can get 1000k (assuming you meant 1,000,000 pp) for this robe (again, if it was droppable), and then in the same post said it was priceless. Putting a price on it assumes that with that money you could then buy something of equal value. That's simply not possible... especially given the fact that most servers haven't even SEEN this friggin thing yet. Playing the pricing game on an item like this is futile, no one would EVER sell it, no guild would EVER keep a member who did sell this after it was awarded to them (don't even THINK that a guild would random this out, it would be AWARDED). SO, if you're going to pollute item posting with stupid conversations about "What would it be worth if it wasn't no drop", keep it on items that could actually be priced, as this item certainly can't be.

All I can say is that befoer I die I am going to be wearing this robe. and I will show it to all fo you when I do hee hee ;) Mark my words.. I will have this along with my duck stick and my White Dragonscale boots! and whatever items I can get to campare with those :)

Does anyone know what this robe looks like?
This thing looks UBER, the way it should look, it's pretty much like the Arch Mage's Robe which looks like an SMR but is dark purple where that gay purple is on SMR and glowing neon green where the SMR is white... looks really sweet. And btw it's on the fashion tables

Keep going dude :). The rarity of this robe, combined by the effort needed to not only reach but slay the mob who drops it, combined with the most unbeleiveable stats to EVER grace a caster/priest robe. Even IF this item were not no drop, it would still be priceless. Simply because if you had one, you would NEVER sell it. never. 1,000k is nothing compared to what this thing is worth.. in man hours, in effort, in status. Simply wearing this robe without considering the stats is priceless alone. It shows that you are one of a hand full of people across all the servers, who was capable of slaying one of the top 5 all time hardest mobs in this game's existance. You tell me if its worth 1000k :) I think not

I don't believe he meant 1000pp Eface I think he was saying 1000k<- where the k would add a few more 0's making it closer to 1,000,000 plat ( which technically since I have seen robes not nearly as good going for 3 or 4 hundred thousand plat may or may not even be enough ) :) Fortunately since it's no drop we don't ever need to find out.

Lets say this wasn't No Drop, if you were to sell it, what would you buy with those pp's? To even think that anyone would sell this robe, nothing you could buy could possibly even stand worthy of comparision to this robe.

Anyone else notice that almost every piece of equipment with wis thats not class specific has Cleric listed. IMHO Clerics should be nerfed a little, or every other class be buffed. I play a druid and we constantly get the shaft because we can solo.
Well, even if druids could wear this, hypothetically, only human druids would be able to wear it. Lots of the non class specific stuff that clerics can wear(and other priests cant), is because they are a plate class and a robe wearing class, if you play most of the cleric races.

This should still not be a priest class robe...ANY priest class. Nobody has said let's nerf clerics! Have you looked at just how many 50+ AC chest items they do get at this level compared to what intell casters get??? Or even what some other priest classes get?? You should look sometime. Yours was the post that came across more as whining. And if you want to hear *whining*....I can tell you now, I die five to ten times more than any cleric in any group I've ever been in. And I've said for *years* that early intel casters robes don't have even the AC/hp of a cleric's arm items. Sure they can heal. Wonderful. And they rezz. Great. But they are not the only people in the group. Nor should they get every item available to any class. AND I've had just as good a luck where the healing goes being grouped with two of the other priest classes. Maybe they can't rezz. I'll settle for someone who heals me and the tanks when they should...not late. Then we hopefully won't need a rezz. I'm all for letting them have cool armor. I adore good clerics! But don't put them where they don't belong. They aren't gods and they don't deserve every bloody thing in the game! Every single class contributes a lot to either a single group or a raid group...or everyone dies.
Interesting that you do not list your cleric that you love so well in your character section. Some observations:
1) This robe should go to a cleric first.
2) If this robe does not go to a cleric, it should go to an Enchanter.
3) If it goes to neither the cleric or the enchanter, either all of the clerics and enchanters who participated had one or simply HATE the grapics enough to give it up, or the group did not get to the place where this item can be obtained.
Face it, without a cleric and enchanter being able to survive in a group, the group will die in the end game raid situations. Argue if you want, but if you are in the middle of Dragon Necropolis surrounded by those idiotic gating spiders and both your cleric and enchanter die, your chances of survival have just ended (unless you are a gating class yourself).
Also, on a side note, if I ever see a cleric try to tank, I will leave, because I don't want to loose the experience, even if I gain 96% back from the res. High end clerics know they need to med, just as high end necros (me) who are in a raid situation know they need to dump their manna into the cleric.

I personally would see this as an enchanter item. INT caster that gets hit the most, lol. Try and land a tash often enough you're bound to get hit... 60ac is a tastey piece...

And lemme tell you, some ever tells me I can't roll on an item I'll ninja loot it faster than you can think about it. Then what good does it do those classes you were trying to get it to? None. All because people want to attempt to dictate who gets what. I don't think so. Your better of letting me roll on it, and hopefully those intended classes get the roll.

If you ninja loot an item off Vulak, I can guarantee that you will never, and I mean *never* participate in another meaningful fight in your entire EQ career. You might as well hit the 'delete' key. Your name will be spread far and wide across all guilds, all servers, all fansites everywhere.
Now that I've said that, I do agree that this would be a nice item for anyone who could wear it (and that's a pretty big understatement; it's probably the best chest slot item in the game I'll never see).
And having said *that*, items off level 75 dragons are not typically randomed to the raid participants. The guild lootmaster will have a list of people who can benefit from the item, or who have earned great favor for the guild, and one of those people will simply be chosen to wear the robe.

Actually, they're better off not grouping with you in the first place, which is what a lot of people will quickly realize. I had a friend that tried that... ninja'd a ring off of Dain Frostreaver. He had to solo for the next month and a half because so many people found out about it that he couldn't go to any zone without 5 or 6 people shouting, "Don't group with soandso, he's a ninja looter... he'll rob your group blind."
What do you get by taking equipment you're not going to use in the first place? All you get from it is money (and usually less than it's worth) to use toward buying some other item that you need, right? Why can't you just skip the middle man and go for the item you need in the first place? Because of people like you out there demanding to roll on everything, that's why.
Sometimes I wish they'd just make everything in EQ No Drop except tradeskill items. After all, the player "economy" is pretty much a joke, with the constant rapid deflation of everything. Anything I can get along without until Luclin, I'm not gonna bother buying, since the day Luclin comes out, everything in Velious will drop 50% in price, at least.

not that you care but if you ever manage to kill this uber dragon it drops this a helm with a 50ac and 10str plus a couple other stats. so quitcha *******
I have to disagree with your rant about the high AC for casters. It sounds like you have never played a pure caster and I strongly suggest you try one out at least until you reach lvl 20.
Considering the drop place for this, and the amount of skill it takes to even get far enough to take down this MoB (I can only assume this is a dragon further in the zone), I believe that whatever caster gets this has fully deserved it.
I have great respect for tanks, but sometimes I think they forget that not everyone can just power over the enemy. I would be HONORED to help a group take this ceature down someday. And you may note that my druid status does not qualify me for the robe.
Think of this as making your caster into a smaller tank - the slower they go down, the more help you get. And at higher levels, it's teamwork, not brute strength, that's important.

I have to agree here. If you won a roll on this item, you deserve the stats on that robe...including the AC. Pure caster AC's are laughable even with a 60ac chest item. But every bit helps.

This is'nt just any MoB in the zone, this is the leader, and big badass of the zone. He is considered to be at level 75(And dont flame me for saying he is 75, when you get into the high end game you judge level by difficulty not the con) It takes a force of 80 people or more to even try to kill him, and also you basically have to clear out the zone before you take him on, and that takes 12 hours or more to do. The actual planning time for killing this mob is several months(Just ask FoH and CD about that).
The sheer power of this MoB is so powerful that most of the raiders will die anyways, I was lucky enough to survive and get some phat lewtz. But as FoH and CD now do we will do and keep the lewtz hush hush so they dont get nerfed. And they were really good too. But if you ever even get the chance to go on a raid of ToV prepare for the time ofyour life.

Sure, this has some mega stats, like the ac. Now did anyone think that maybe he also drops a better armor item for tanks?

I guess you have a point. He could drop some godly Tank armor like 100 AC 25+ str and so on! hehe i guess we will see.

ok first off i posted this anon not because i dont stand behind what i said but because i know there is going to be a few whinners who are going to rate it bad because they dont agree .
Us casters are the ones who control the magic in all of norrath so why wouldnt we make the best chest peice item in the game for ourselves? think about it if you ruled the world wouldnt you make the best for yourself. personaly im getting realy bored watching all the high end gear going to tank type classes this goes against all normal thinking , " magic is POWER and power is GREED ". if you dont beleive me then read any message board out everytime someone asks for any kind of tips on how to kill a certain mob you get a bunch of self righteous ppl posting about they wont give that info out because they dont wanna spoil the game for you. thats a crock of **** the real reason they wont say how is because they are just as greedy and dont want to have to share the spawn with another guild.
now back to the point,ifyou controlled most of the magic you would be a pure caster thus you would make the best gear for yourself. if you didnt you would be a fool because what ever class you made the best gear for would eventualy over throw you with all the uber gear you made them . notice i used the word YOU because there is the greed factor again , its all about YOU!

whoever said nerf this, please, for the love of god, STFU, STFU!!! Jesus Christ. This dragon is only 100 times harder to kill then CT and although on my server CT is getting to be sorta a pushover mob, he is still pretty hard. Who said that casters get all the good l00t also STFU, STFU, STFU~~~. I am in an uber guild on TP and most of the **** we kill is for our melee class. I have 0 god items as of yet but do have a few dragon items. My guild has been farming ToV for a few weeks now and although we learn fast and progress even faster, we know that this is one dragon that will take a hell of a lot more preparation to kill. Why the f*ck would you want this item nerfed??? What an *** you are, just quit this game if you feel this way. I cant believe how greedy some of you are. Dont forget this is only a game. In my guild, 85% of the people are there for the joy of killing an UBER mob, loot is then rewarded and everyone is happy for that person knowing and hoping that one day, they will get that item also. The longer this place is farmed, the better the guilds gear will become. BTW, i am not talking about farming the dragons, i have to say this or ill be severely Flamed:). You cant farm dragons in this zone for they are not only hard to get to but are also hard to kill. We only have two warlords in our guild that are fully armored in warlord items and we still have 10 or so to gear up, we still need to farm that ***** Myga in WW for her blood so we can get more dragonbanes. If any of you know how to get that ***** to spawn faster, pls post it somewhere. This is the best robe in the game for a reason. The reason is the difficulty of even getting to this dragon is enormous and killing it is only 20 times harder. Most of the guild has to be fully kael armored before this goes on and many wizards(L60) must have dragonbane to be effective enough to down this mob.
I hope this item doesnt get nerfed just because some of you think its too good. I know i wont get this item but i hope someone in my guild does in the next couple of months
