Careful trading with Graffyx

Be cautious trading with Graffyx. I know that he lied about an item's effects to one of the main traders on the server.

Effect?
# Jul 20 2001 at 10:16 AM Rating: Default
I'm not understanding the logic behind this effect. Why would a shield from Paineel have enduring breath on it? It's not exactly "Waterworld" there. Sometimes I wonder about the effects on items.
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 02 2002 at 8:11 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) who cares if it drops in the the hole, it is a great effect..
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 21 2002 at 11:28 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It's damn role playing game after all, isn't it

From what I understand of the history of Paineel and the Hole, in a desperate measure to prevent the minions of the Plane of Underfoot from destroying all of the Erudites, Dartain, a powerful Erudite heretic, and his compatriots flooded the breach (perhaps to prevent fire elementals from crossing the breach?). He used this shield to breath underwater and continue his work to seal the breach in the Living Wall of Stone (the barrier between Norrath and the Plane of Underfoot). He was successful but at a pyrrhic cost; he and all his friends were trapped on the Underfoot side of the breach. All but Dartain were slain by the elementals whose vital essence managed to escape but whose mortal remains were forever lost in the Plane of Underfoot.

Very interesting background information. I thank thee sir!
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 20 2001 at 2:29 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Don't mistake the effect. "Enduring Breath" is NOT "Water Breathing." It negates the need for air. If you look at the spell effect messages, you'll see these:

# Jul 20 2001 at 5:09 AM Rating: Decent

You can found it in the tower where are the NPC for Epic quests. The NPC is lvl 55, almost full RM. Sorry but i don't remember his name ...
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 22 2001 at 3:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Do you mean fully MR (Magic Resistant) or something else, I do not recognize the term RM?

I was worried that SKs would never get one of the cool ribcage shields, always seemed odd to me that pallies had them. Thanks Varent :)

Actually SK only Ashenbone shield from hate is rib cage in inv, but looks alot like a Cracked darkwood when equipped. Oh, and the general in Kith drops it Ashenbone also, hehe. Was very disappointed to see it wasnt the same graphic as that warrior shield from Fear(which is the rib cage look equipped), lets hope this new shield does.

#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 19 2001 at 10:17 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Don't worry, knowing Verant, it probably isn't a ribcage shield. It'll be a buckler.
