Another train in unrest, zoned out and then back, this corpse was just sitting there so as a 18 Cleric I was the last one back and no one else looted it so I did. For a 18 Cleric its not too bad and the stats are better when attacking non undead than on my summoned hammer

The point is that at lower levels weapons with the magic tag were hard to come by. If you were lucky enough to win the roll for this then you could hunt wisps with it, which used to make it worth the trouble of getting it given how hard money was to get back then and how much lightstones and greater lightstones would sell for to merchants.

besides this monster is normally the last to go on a bitter battle back to the zone because he is extremely underconed he whooped my 38 rogue and was green when all the other stuff barely touches me so if a "N00B wants it itll be near the zoneline past the string of lowbies it laid out in the run
I have one of these hammers stashed in my bank. Most no drop 'junk' is used in quests and you never know... there are still many many quests out there that probably haven't been found or solved. Or it could be for a future quest which has not been implemented or finished.
"One [person]'s junk is another [person]'s treasure."
back in the day this was a pretty nice weapon. i mean look, some of the best 1handers were short swords the the Y. and the best pre-planer 2hander was a 25/40 sword. which most peoples drooled over.
Got some help killing him when someone trained him on me in the hall. The hammer was not usable by Paladins, please read the image and change the info on your database.
Torklar is like D'Vinn in CB and his darkie cousin B'Dynn in NRo, A MAJOR UNDERCON. My twinked lvl 25 pali can barely survive an encounter with Torklar dispite his blue status. Not to mention that he usually brings with him another white/yellow undead friend per pull.
But, as a pali, this is the type of mob that makes us shine. To defeat him solo, I usually start with a Ward Undead to initiate the encounter. I run out to the courtyard and wait for him to come out of the house (he takes a while - probably agroing every mob in the first floor - but at least you have time to run out of the house). Then, root and nuke him with WU until he gets free. If you time it right, you can run back and root/nuke him again before reaching the tunnel. Anyway, I will pull him into the tunnel and barrage him with arrows (make your own, fletching magic arrows is key). The pathing on the tunnel is such that he usually ends up creeping against the wall trying to reach you. Once you reach the zone boundary, turn to face him and initiate melee. You should still have about 1.5 bubs of mana for yaulp, keep casting it until you run out. With one or two Ghoulbane procs, he's dead meat and you should have a bub or two left of hp without having to Lay Hands. The reason I pull him all the way to the zone is to back into it just in case things get out of hand. The only bad side effect of this is if some knucklehead brings a train down this way, you will have to zone and waste your time and mana.

Torklar is definately in unrest. Conned green to my 34 cleric. I had to zone him 3 times before i was able to get help from a 40-something ranger and beat him down. Was hiting me for 80 and a druid friend that is 19 said he was getting hit for 180. Don't know if the hammer is for a quest or just a no drop hammer. The canteen however is part of the Disciple symbol of Brell Serilis Quest. You have to have the canteen from torklar and the preserved hops from the undead brewer. It also appeared to me ( granted i didn't try more than 4 times) that killing the brewer causes Torklar to spawn in the next room. Good luck to you guys that are trying the quest. Free alcohol is a great thing. hehe
Kraynok Ironforge Cleric of Brell Serilis for 34 seasons.
I saw Torklar and the brewer up at the same time, so not sure if you are right or if someone killed the brewer and then left torklar alone until the brewer respawned
Last evening I was fighting in Unrest and had occasion to encounter this Mob. He does in fact con green, hit for 50-60 on average, and dropped this weapon and " A Battleworn Canteen".
Any info on these would be helpful.
BTW - Befallen is back to it's newer badder ways with the followers of T'Vyl.
In a wonderful group last night we killed the Torklar Battlemaster and I recieved A Battleworn cantine, or something like that. Does anyone know what quest this is for. It is both no drop and lore. Thank you in advance.
the cantine is used for Brell Serilis cleric symbol quest. Only gnome and dwarf could finish this quest I believe. Quest end symbol Has quite interesting effect on it, if you worship Brell serilis you should give it a try.
Just as Xevyz got hit in Unrest, I ddi too. I was on my warrior, level 20 with some nice twinked out equipment, and two massively twinked 19 druids and a 20 twinked to hell cleric. This guy came out fot he mansion chasing some poor dumb noob who was in Unrest for some reason. I decided to be nice and tuant the Torklar off, he was white to me, and I had a good backup.... with all my buffs, from a 60 cleric who was in Dagnor's and heals from all three of my groupmates, this mo faka dropped me before i got him to 23% life. he was around ~33% life or so, I was dual weilding 11/29s so i was hitting on average for dual or quad 24s and kicking for 11 I even got 6 crits of 45 and one crip of about the same before i died. this guy is bad ***. The hammer he drops seems to be good reward compared to how hard he kicks ***.
This sucker jumped me in Unrest, I kid you not. I wandered into a room and saw him, and he was green, so I figured I'd try to bust him up. Boy, that was a mistake. I'm not the most twink monk in the world and he started hitting me repeatedly for 60's. My 990 or so health fell through the floor pretty quick. Just wondering what he was doing in Unrest since all the reports indicate he's found in Befallen.
There was a bug found in the loot tables of the new Befallen dataset and they reverted the zone temporarily to the original dataset to prevent exploits of the bugged loot table.
They'll change it back as soon as the fix the new dataset.
At least some of you got a chance to even see the new Befallen. It was never updated on Drinal. Maybe when they fix the loot table and change it back on the other servers they'll update on Drinal.
I have been reading up on befallen asI plan to go there soon and get some of this new stuff. The problem is I have seen a lot of posts saying that the zone has reverted back to its former state, and that none of the new equip drops any more. If anyone can tell me what is up I would appreciate the help.

BUH BYE!!!/rude
That sucks what happened to you, but fyi AO is bugged out beyond belief. There are people duping items and bugs that let you use items that you aren't supposed to be able to yet, etc. My point is that the grass is always greener on the other side =)

Posted:Jul 13 2001 at 7:42 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hmm....6/28. I see everyone over level 40 rushing off to Unrest to farm this bad boy.
6/28 blows to a level 40 and it's no drop so there will be no farming which is probably the way Verant wanted it, or it could be part of a bigger yet to be discovered quest.
To be totally honest, what Verant has in mind compared to how MAJORLY underconned this dude is beyond the scope of mortal thinking. If i meet this guy again, i'm just going to zone..it isn't worth the trouble to fight him. No experiance for a lvl 40 bard, yet he got me down to 2 bubbles of health; hit's like a truck! And regeneration? Man i wish he would drop the thing that made him do that! If he did it should also come with a STA boost of at leat 10, because he had about the same number of HPs than an overweight Hill Giant, or maybe it just seemed that way with the way he was regenerating! It's frustrating when you look at it from a bard's eye view.
And if what soxfan says is true then more credit and power to Verant. I for one am sick and tired of having to compete with 40th and better farming the loot Im entitled to hunt. I mean how would they like it if for a day Verant made everyone under 40th Invulnerble and able to uber hunt on the planes and veeshan etc so that we'd all be able to farm the good loot huh? I for one would enjoy the irony....
why does verant make these no drop, its not like everyone is gonna farm them cause there soooooo good, just make em droppable so we can have somefun and put them on puma's andstuff in EC :)
If you don't have Velious, the items from there have default Old-World graphics.. Velious just brought with it new and niftier weapon graphics.
If you needed Velious to see any items with velious graphics, there would be a lot of people out there who were wondering why they couldn't see any items that people were carrying.
the weight on the items makes it almost useless to keep them, still rather pointless has two downsides to it.. younger players cant get the cash from them.
