The next best leg slot item for a monk is over 30ac less than this.... if i had to decide between giving this to my guilds warrior who has warlords, or a monk with his next best ac leg item... it goes to the monk. The warrior has a huge assortment of nice quality armor to get. The next best legs for a warrior, warlord's, have 45 ac (1 less than these)the next best for a monk, ancient wyvern hide legs, have 15 ac... you can flame me if you want, but its 1 ac more for a warrior, or 30 more for a monk. If these werent no drop, and i were a warrior who won them, i would give them to a monk and put my warlord's back on. And if i were a monk who saw these go to a warrior, or any of the other classes who can wear them, id be dissapointed.

I hate to be one of those monk fanatics, but folks, 46ac AND stats/resists & no weight? If a guild doesn't give this to its primary monk or warrior, they should be drawn and quartered.
A monk with this, that 35ac wrist/neck quest thing, and a Carapice as chest armor would have more AC than monks could EVER get before the expansions. They'd have 107 raw AC from 3 freaking pieces of armor. The rest is just cake.

Accually monks solo fine at this level, you just have to find the right places for it. I am still going strong at 55 with 7 ac leggings as a monk
Sure, your items help you enhance your class abilities, but they don't DEFINE them.
A ranger, shadowknight or paladin, just by having these leggings, is NOT going to replace a warrior. Hell even having a full suit of this type of armor is not going to do that.
I've heard time and time again that AC is not the be-all-end-all of the high level game, its resists and HP. Tanks need hit points. Tons of them so that those complete heals can be more useful. Who is it better to CH, a warrior with 300 out of 4000 hit points or a Shadowknight with 300 out of 3000? Do the math.
Sure, these are a wicked AC item but its not going to upset any class balance just by having them at level 57 to 60 which is when you can possibly expect to get any.

Who says warriors aren't the masters of combat? In any huge raid, they are the main tanks. Period. No other class can take the punishment and keep the agro such as they. And so what if these leggings are a step up from warrior velious quests? There is a level range for everything, including kael leggings. Compared to others who have done the kael quests, warriors will have higher ac. Once these are an option, it's a different story, and warlord legs shouldn't be compared to these, since they are on a different level.

Ok now I wouldnt mind anyone who got this armor because well ummm IT ROCKS but WTF is VI thinking by making armor better than any warriors legs since they are supposed to be "AC masters" of EQ. VI IMO is trying to ***** with the balance of things just for S%^&'s and giggles because they own our lives already. Im a ranger and still know that hybrids were made to mock warriors and since im a ranger I should never be able to ge the AC of a warrior (I may admit it but still dont like it hehe) To all my warrior friends out there I apologize for Vi and there mass stupidity!!

Hehe. Okay, if you want to talk balance - take a quick look around for the top end weapons monks can use. Now, take a quick look at the absolute top end weapons that warriors can use.
Warriors potentially outdamage monks, which is something they were never supposed to do. *shrug* That's a bigger imbalance than having the occasional ALL/ALL piece that's best in the game for a slot.

Look at the wu's fist of mastery 16 22 in one of the hands and use fist with epic 9 10 or 9 9 and the kick it would be hard to do that damage
I don't disagree with you, really. This is just too sick, 46 AC 0.0 stats, and usable by anyone who can use leather and above.
On the other hand, its from the Temple of Veeshan, which means that its gotta be pretty damn rare.
And thanks to the monk on the bottom who resisted the obvious, though *damn* this is sweet for a monk. Sweet for a druid too. But frankly its un-be-freaking-leavable for *anyone* who can wear it.

As someone mentioned, while warriors spend a ton of time getting our class specific armor, which is SUPPOSED to have high enough Armor Class to set us aside from the other melee classes, they can go and pick up one of these babies, which totally blows our armor out of the water. I mean, face it, Verant, Warrior's need a major class overhaul. Why? Here's why:
Well, speaking as someone who's seen these items drop:
1) Hybrids do not fight as well as you can, and certainly not better. You do significantly more damage, and you take far, far less. You also get the incredibly powerful Defensive discipline, which is ALWAYS used to tank North ToV bosses.
2. A hybrid in most North ToV armor will still fall short of your average warrior gimp in full warlords. However, very often many of these ALL/ALL items go to primary tanks, which are warriors. They tank the most, so even though it's less of an upgrade for them, it still makes the most sense to give it to them.

Where did you get the idea that warriors out damage rangers? Show me a 60 warrior w/ epics (even though at 60 you have access to MUCH better weapons) and a lvl 60 ranger with epics, and see who outdamages who. Warrior damage output isn't nearly as high as rangers/rogues (lets not even get started on them), but I do agree on how the highest AC items should go to the guild's main tanks even if it is useable by other classes. It's their jobs to keep their butts alive as long as possible, and once the tanks fall the clerics and everyone else goes down soon after.

I think the sleeper himself is just a bit too uber atm for any guild to kill, or combination thereof. Any loot off him must be better than the epic, cuz in the time it would take you just to get enough people to kill him u could have done multiple epics. Just ask Legion.

Anything is easy in EQ once a guild has done it enough times. I remember when Trakanon was the hardest thing since grade school cafeteria bread. Now, he's got as good of a chance to take a breath of fresh air as a poodle is space. The first time I went to ToV, I was clueless on how we could break past the enterance before respawn. Now, you can pharm tarnished while watching Zena, Warrior Princess. The thing is, Sleepers is the last of the hard places. ToV has been cleared, VP has been long cleared, now ST is all thats basically left (or PoG if you count that one).
46ac on legs plus crazy stats. That blows even Warlord Greaves out of the water, which just happens to be the leetest armor in the game solely for warriors. Now, we find better armor that we can share with the other classes. I fail to see the point they are making with these "Special" armors and items.
"Hey, here's and FA that will take god awful amounts of time and energy to invest to get!"
"Hey, heres quest class specific armor that take an equal amount of time and energy to get!"
"Hey, while your getting those items for our 'Special' stuff, heres something that blows what you were trying to get in the end out of the water, thanks for playing."

Good God! This is great for anyone but 46 AC???? That's incredible!! I'm a monk and I would give my left .... ummm ... something for these. Now don't mistake me. I don't this is a "Monk Only Item", but I certainly wouldn't complain if I got it!
