Dark Elf Racial Smithing Temper has to be the easiest of them all to make. Shadowmen are common and an hour camping them will get you about 6 or 7 stones and Elf Blood is plentiful on Sister's Island in OOT.

Also, the Adamantite is merchant sold if I'm not mistaken. All you really need is a friendly Enchanter with Enchant Adamantite and you're all set and smithing.
Eh?

Lucky my ***** Have you ever tried to do this? I am thinking no.

1. "6 or 7" essense of shadows per hour? In my dreams, I have spent hours camping them and only had ONE drop to show for it.

2. All the other racial tempers require ONE of the rare drop components. Shadow temper = 2essence of shadows + elf blood + neriak nectar. (note the 2 in front of the rare drop)

Please don't whine about something, unless you have reason to do so. I understand that (dwarfs) other rare ingredients are harder to come by, but that does not make DEs lucky.

Also take in consideration that it is MUCH more difficult to smith as a Dark Elf, not being able to buy ore in Highhold, nor raise our skill in freeport, withought monumental hastle.

Essences of Shadows arent that rare, not in the least. I've camped shadowed men in South Karana and Lavastorm, and average 4 per hour. And, before you complain about how difficult it is to collect the temper components, think about those that are much less fortunate than us:

High Elves need an item that's foraged. High Elves dont forage :p

Humans need an item that's currently either not on the loot tables, or is rarer than rare off of rare spawns (Rainwater for Qeynos)

Gnomes need to spend nearly 1,000,000 pp to get the skill to make their armor, which has no known trivial

Barbarian armor...just plain reeks :p

Ogres have to go clear to Neriak for the ore they need

Iksar...have it the easiest :p

And Half Elves and Trolls get squat.

As far as raising skill is concerned, Freeport and Highpass arent the only places to raise skill. I did all of my work in Neriak and Qeynos, and thanks to the upgrade that made metal sheets stackable (woo-hoo!), it's all that much more easier. Also, evil races have it the absolute easiest with Fine Plate: Oggok has a forge with the mold merchant right near it, and the ore is sold in nearby Rathe Mountains. Dont focus on what others have or can do. Revel in the advantages we have, and the uber stats the armor has, and wear your armor with pride!

(btw, I am a Dark Elven Necromancer, so I know what I'm talking about)
Hmm

Is it possible to make enchanted/imbued plate? Was jsut wondering.

This helm is enchanted and imbued :). I also have the plate boots that are enchanted and imbued. If you don't need the wisdom just get the enchanted.
Look at the INT/WIS

Ok this item would be nice for a cleric with the lil wis improvement BUT the INT is double the wis to make this an almost definite shadowkinight helm.... Bare in mind I play a ranger I just like to comment on equip that deserves a just judging

Considering the race that its for, is that terribly surprising? INT is definitely more "Dark Elvy" than WIS. I'd also say it'd be great for Bards.

I agree, its definitely a very cool SK helm. And it doesn't really matter what class you think should get this helm, as its not a dropped item. :) People only take issue when it might be dependant on a roll for looting priveledges. Since the only way you'll get this is by a) making it yourself, b) comissioning someone else to make it, or c) buying it off of someone who doesn't use it anymore, it really doesn't matter what class its "best" for. :)

This armor was designed with Shadowknights in mind. The Enchanted Adamantite Plate has no Wis at all. Neither does the Enchanted Chain.

They made it "Cleric-Friendly" by letting you imbue it for some Wis.

For those Dark Clerics out there, don't get dicouraged of you out Don't mean to be one to correct someone that has good intentions, but the Enchanted and Imbued Chain is +WIS and +INT and thus is a nice touch to any clerics armor until they can make the Imbued Plate :)
