Scars of VeliousI love procing weapons, and this one has been great. I have some cash though and would like to upgrade for my bard. Can anyone think of a procing upgrade from this that is bard usable? I have a harmonic dagger already. Frostbringer isn't bard usable BTW. I've looked at wavecrasher (iffy) and can't think of any more procing upgrades before my epic.

Sure I can think of one - Sionachie's Partisan.
Drops in Karnor's Castle. It's not no drop so you could buy it if you want. Or if you have a 50+ main, go camp LCY for it.

Partisan is not a proc'ing weapon, but a nice weapon nevertheless. 9/19 with stats.
Symphonic Saber is a decent weapon with a proc that drops you to the bottom of the mob's hate list.

I have a longsword o EE, I tried using the ax in primary and LoEE in second. It works good...but, i missed seeing the 30-52 points of damage the LoEE did often as primary. The added base magical dam of the LoEE is better in primary because the Proc of the ax, even though it might be as good sa 1-15 hits, doesnt make up for the loss in damage the LoEE does. the faster ax should be in off hand to improve the speed of dual weild, and its sweet when it still procs, and it does =)
You have this exactly backwards.
Speed in mainhand, and ratio in offhand. That's the Golden Rule of Dual Wield. The axe is 11/24, definitely a mainhand weap all the way. The LSoEE is (best case) 21/29. Slow, but fantastic ratio. The LSoEE is one of the best offhanders in the game.

You been smoking pot. Speed in primary. But you want highest dmg in offhand. Offhand procs based upon successful dual wield skill check. Offhand delay is completely irrelevant.

i got one of this baby today im traded a black blade of tormenting for this and a mithril bp and here is my 2cp
black blade of tormenting nice weapon even if the weigth is 10 stones the delay and dmg make is a good off hand but it wont help a bit before lvl 50
cause it wont proc
venom axe awsome i like it better over the blade of tormenting or what ever is called with a good haste item it procs just as ofthen plus for the peeps out there that dont have hi sta it helps more to have one of this than to have a blade
combo i use are
lammy on primary this weapon on sec silverd chiting gloves for the haste
fbss will do goos also

THIS is a rockin ranger weap, i used this in primary, 10AC and longsword of ethereal energu in offhand 15AC thats like having a 25AC shield and 2 weapons!!!

So many dumbasses complaning about the delay look at it this way u get a nice proc and 10 ac with decent a decent ratio. I weild this in my primary and a flameweaver in off hand and this is one of the best combos i have yet to have. Not only with haste songs i hit non stop but this pushes me from 810 ac to 829 ac thats a huge difference. go out and get one they rule.

My warrior uses one of these, she is low mid 20's and procs on average once a mob in HH against the raiders and moro often against the lesser gobbies,
Bonus for me is the damn fine hitting and the speed, hit for 20 plus, in either hand and with a SSoY it rocks, if you have the cash then do your warrior a favour and go get one of these damn fine wpns

Got one other day on xegony. Guy was selling for 5k but all i had was an fbss so I asked and he agreed to trade. Nice rogue item and while some say high taunt is bad i like the AC given. I use this and Jagged Ice Shard and have yet been killed or have mob turn on me when these things proc. With Frostbringer also now 5-8k on xegony I plan on getting it and then giveing both to my warrior since I go for AC and procs before much else. Very nice weapon indeed.

I got a great deal on this weapon yesterday. A guildie of mine traded me this weapon for my Wurmslayer. I guess it sells for 5-8k on MT server or so they told me in /ooc. It procs alot...this combined with my GBS giving me 20dex is great...want to get a BloodPoint also and I'll rock.

no rogue should use this weapon.....it is way to high taunt untill about 55 when the tanks can actualy outdamage it enought to keep you alive......bot still a great weapon to have

dont forget this weapon has an effect based on Poison Resistance so maybe it will interput spell more often than any effect based on Magic
because MoB with high poison resistance is more rare

What everybody seems to be missing is that this weapon proc's at LEVEL 1!!! So it's the ultimate twink weapon. A friend bought it yesterday for 9k and I think he got a deal at that!!

Got one its hoss. Traded a coupl9e lammys for it and a smoldering brand ((I needed something to offhand after trading off both my weapons)) 10ac on your weapon drooool ((Im a warrior can you tell)) Im gonna go get an onyxbrand today 10 24 8ac 10sta 5svF Which im gonna offhand... I think. The proc is sweetness its a knockback for inturrupts, and The 85DD is poison based, most stuff doesnt have high Poison resist, including players. This is great cause its got AC like Wurmy, but fast enough to taunt, this is a very utilitile weapon ((And i kinda like the fact that it looks like a mino axe)) Imagine a barbarian in a treeweeve ssb mino axe, and a torch I look like a newbie in Halas at lvl 54 : P. stupid verant making this lore I wanna duel wield em : D.
Actually, as a 27 Pally, my SvPoison is 38. And I only have a +3 SvPoison item, that's all. So Pally's have good SvP. :) Of course if we dueled, I probably wouldn't resist because you are KINDA high level for me...

Hmmm, there's also the fact that 38 is a REALLY lousy poison resist. Besides Poison resist gear is really common, but even if that guy was the same lvl as you, I would bet money that you would not get a single successful resist against the chill poison proc.

Gotta agree with that, 38 is nothing to brag about. Keeping my eyes open for this or any other decent weapon with a proc on it. With the Ranger spell at level 39 that throws a proc on our weapons, dual wielding weapons with procs will in effect give you 4 procs total.

I've read that, if you are holding a weapon or item with AC in the offhand slot, that you could bash regardless of wether or not that item is a shield.
Can anyone confirm or deny this, or does anyone know of any weapons that have this property (other than epics) if this is an exception to the norm?

Parry is going up when i equip this axe in my offhand on my Ranger. I cannot tell about bash sicne Rangers dont get it but it seems logical to me that you can bash with it when its checking parry too.

Probably from The Shield of Some Damn Unicorn which says it's a shield but you can attack with it and therefore not bash. I can't see why though since Verant was able to make the 2hander epics bashable.

I was given one at a low level, it only equips in off hand, so can't equip til lvl 13, and by then, the low damage ratio makes it subpar. I suppose, if you are looking for a piercing weapon for offhand, want to train skill, or are a rogue who let your other weapon skills fall so far behind that you can't hit with a salashing weapon, it's ok. Also, if you want the AC, more than the damage dealing capacity. However, the ratio is average, and I'd prefer a Blackened alloy Longsword in offhand, since it is similar in price, and has a damage ratio of 2.9.

That is Onyxbrand you are talking about, Kornaena. Different axe altogether. I think Verant heard my plea for higher level axe graphic 1hs ;> Frostbringer, this, onyxbrand, and even A Glimmering War Axe.

The Sk is fairly tough(needs several 50+ to take him out), friend got this axe yesterday. Will get details, but I belive my war friend said the quest started in thurgadin.
