Hey guys, if any of you know which creature this drops off, please post it here i'll be grateful.

11/30 and a bit heavy but this will SURE AS HELL knock down the over-inflated crystallized sword and blackened alloy longsword that's going around. Dual wielding crystal fibre and frozen long sword, 8/26 and 7/26 dmg respectively (non-twink i'm afraid) this will increase my damage output significantly, though will tire out my weakling ranger 101 str with gear on.... how sad...
For the record...

These things were dropping like flies in the main hallway of the 3rd floor. After all our tanks got one we let the other 6-10 of em rot... Dropped mainly off a half-elven Servant of T`Vyl if my memory isn't failing me.
Geez...

I hung out down in the bottom of Befallen for a while today, and for the record, I never saw any Servant of T'Vyl wielding this or any weapon. I was only there for two hours or so, but judging on your account, I would've thought I'd see one.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out down there, including Healinu, Gembadar, Zyrixx, and the members of Shattered Destinies.

Ok, I'm sick of this...

Casters are falling further and further behind in equipment and damage. We get no new spells to improve our damage output because 'we won't help you solo better than you can already'.

We now have 10/29s coming out of Runnyeye (don't get me started on the Sporali Gloves), and now an 11/30 from Befallen WITH STATS!

Yes I realize it's NODROP, but that's not the point. Where is my low-mid level sweet caster's robe with clickable DD spell (I don't care if it's a 7 sec cast on Shock of Lightning)???????

Where are my new spells to keep up with the ever increasing damage curve of melee weapons? Or my focus items to reduce mana cost or resists?

SoL, if I'm lucky.....

LMAO! That just looks funny, shame it's so true.

Ummmm... maybe you should look at the equipment lists again. First off, you're not a melee fighter so weapons aren't going to do you any good. Instead, you get +int items, which are better than +str items for a warrior. And you can get a bunch at lower levels.

What's that? You want 'ferinstances?'

Hrmm. Staff of the Wheel. You can get it at 16 without killing a thing (My wizzie did, and I posted the spoiler)

Crystalline Silk Armor -- crafted by players, and all with nice stats bonuses

GBS -- get a mid level buddy to tank for you and take out the little gnome sweetie. there's some intelligence for your off hand.

Point is, don't go drooling over all the weapons cuz they wouldn't do a thing for you if you could use them. Instead, love the fact that you are a lightweight, mobile class that can solo all the way up to 60 (if you play smart). You're getting 20 new spells with the Luclin expansion, you're absolutely necessary on Plane Raids, and buck-naked you can take out mobs faster than a twinked warrior.

Revel in the freedom.

I play most classes and I will say with out a doubt that it far easier to solo at higher levels with any caster than it is a tank. As for the spell focus I was under the impression that there are some in the game already, 2 that I can think of just off the top of my head, the weeping wand is a focus item and there is another one you can get thru a quest in thurgadin. Knowing how velious quests run you can probably get one in Kael and Skyshrine too, never looked. Point is that most casters have alot of advantages over a melee classes already, they can self heal, self buff, transport (and for those of us who use these "Taxi" services we know that thos people are surely not poor) nuke, dot, area of effect... it goes on and on... melee has one thing fighting, why begrudge them that. For that matter all you casters whining about this think of it this way, the better weapon your tank has, the more damage he does, the more damage he does the more likely the mob stays taunted, the more the mob stays taunted the less likely you are to become a blood stain on the floor, simple enough equation for you?

Get a grip and take a walk.

Melee classes are the ones who get 'weaker' with every level they aquire. "Weaker" meaning like they have to depend more and more on casters for heals, buffs, transportation, everyday exp and money. As a warrior you can solo up to lvl 10 easily, then it starts to get slow due to the friggin' time you have to wait for the HP. The higher it goes the less you can do on your own, to the point where you can't do a CRAP on your own. Yet to many casters, if most, this is not the issue. And don't come talking here 'we can't do it also!'. BS. I am not mentioning here dragons, for sanity's sake. I mean the usual mobs which give you the exp and what casters can take down and get the exp, and warriors cannot.

So live with your stuff, what you have. You don't need any of this gear anyway, not like you would know how to or use any such item anyway. Your job is to nuke/heal/debuff/buff (pick your choise) and done. It's melee people's job to stay there, face to face with the mob, and get the beating. And deliver so much that they will be keeping their attention on the melee person. So to put it bluntly - you don't need all this. You do not get one on one with the mobs anyway, so just use your spells and be glad that these melee people are there and keep the mob off of you, while taking the beating. Otherwise you wouldn't even last a round of the beating from the mob.
Time for meele's
# Jun 28 2001 at 9:33 PM Rating: Good
Meele class played a poor second fiddle to casters for a long time. There is nothing wrong with meele types getting nice items by going some place dangerous. Look at it this way, the more damage a meele type puts out, the less time he or she will spend taunting something big and bad off of you.

What are you talking about? I play a druid and I would never change but, there is limited use for casters on raids, with the exception of wizards unresistable spells. While tanks keep getting better gear and better armor I still am unable to land spells on those uber mobs. Pretty much im just your backup healer.
RE: Since When?
# Jun 29 2001 at 3:15 AM Rating: Default
Then don't ignore shaman on the raids, people. Shaman can lower the resists (more then chanter) and done.

Then again, raid is not your everyday smacking of mobs in some cave. Dungeon that is. On the raid there's no place for "creativity", since it will kill you. If you are on the raid, and it's told that you're backup healer, then that's what you are and are not supposed to go "creative" with nukes, DoT's an so on. "Creativity" will kill you, and many others perhaps also, and insure that you wont be on any of the next raids after that.

Besides, not like you're on the raids every day. And as a druid, I really see no reason for you to complain about gameplay as such - druids can do things what other classes only dream about anyway. My warrior can't ever say a la "I'll go kill some wyverns and wurms for the spells and exp, easy thing", as druids do.

Dammit, yknow, some casters dont want to solo all the way to 60, theres no fun in that. Wiz, mag and nec, dont have it easy getting groups. Soloing is boring, i much prefer the ability to get a group. I know chanters who get so many tells for groups they have to go anonymous every time they log on. And also, why are tanks complaining because of this? Since kunark and velious, tanks are much more useful in a group than any wiz/mag/nec(since they are affected by it most, chanters dont have this problem) I mean, as a wiz, i occasionally get group offers, but thats usually after theyve looked for a druid, which is much more useful than a wizard in a group. Interesting, most of the tanks whining about this issue have never played an int caster. Ive played tank classes, and lately especially, its pretty keen being a tank and not so keen being an int caster. Yeah, wizards mages and necros can solo, i dont deny it, a wizard can get very good xp soloing raptors in TD, bla bla bla, which btw is always camped by someone else so i never go there, but groups in sebilis and HS and other high level dungeons are comparable exp and very nice drops. I was in a sebilis group a little while ago, guardian camp, had over 500pp as my split from a couple hours in a 6 person group, and many gems dropped, several BDs jacinths b saphs and a diamond dropped, thats pretty good for a group. I couldnt get that soloing

dont forget clerics they're the best hp and ac buffers in the game and are also the best healers )

i AM on raids everyday, and i am a wizard, and it DOES get old seeing melee classes get all the advances, while we get an extra +10mana... when our spells cost at minimum 160mana (and this is just for a meesly stun) and btw you cant stun a 56+ mob anyway.... but point is it would be nice to see these "focus items" soon. and yes, you tanks do make our job easier, BUT, we also make YOUR job easier.. and the clerics for that matter. just tryin to say that all a melee has to do to get more "uber" is get a new weapon, or higher ac armor... while a caster has to level to get new spells. respect your casters, we save your *******
RE: Since When?

LOL

I would gladly surrender my "Uber" armour and weapons for a casters ability to solo. Oh, that's not mutually viable?

There's two sides to every story, but c'mon... you sound like a rich kid complaining that the poor kid down the road just got something you don't have.

Then respect the tanks because we save YOUR asses. My warrior’s died plenty of times pulling mobs off of some trigger happy wizzy or magician who couldn’t understand when I spoke in plain English "We got it under control, root, mez or fall back so they don’t aggro on you." Then BAM incoming DD and there goes the mob straight to the caster.

You think tanks LIKE pulling mobs off your ***? We do it because its our job. But when I have to pull a mob off your *** because your shinny new DD didn’t work as advertised and you wouldn’t listen to the tanks telling you, hell, begging you to fall back, then that **** gets old.

Now you’re ******** because you think we’re the ones getting all the new toys? Give me a break. When I turn my back to the mob in front of me so I can pull one off of you, I just doubled the number of hits and the amount of damage I will take from the mob I was fighting.

And when **** really gets bad and I’m pulling them off and holding their aggro, I’m giving you time to gate or run to zone so you don’t die, I’m counting on my HP, AC and equipment to get me out alive while you run like a little girl. Next time your *** is naked doing a CR think, hmm, wonder if I should have listened to the tank in our group when he said "ZONE!"?

Casters, can’t live with ‘em can’t leave ‘em to die.
Nice

This weapon is pretty decent. Currently using crystallized blade 11/29, think I may switch to this for the modifiers.
