As of now, this item no longer drops.

Befallen has been reverted to its earlier state. I was there camping this veil. After 36+ hours and 30+ weavers and no veil.

While camping a GM suddenly said in befallen, REPOP in 5 mins, move to a safe spot... I moved after I finished off 4 place holders. The GM repoped the zone, and there WAS NOT a single bat or Dark Elf to be seen "besides the shadowknights that have keys".


So atleast on Quellious this zone, has been nerfed.

As of August 23, 2001, the mask of the vortex weaver just dropped in Befallen on Xev.

This was after a patch, I went on did a track, saw it on track, and got one for enchanter, who is delighted now :)

Remember the first day that befallen was changed? well i just HAD to go check that nasty place out and see what the n00bs had in store for them. we'll this was about 25mins after the new patch had been in place and the servers up and running (20mins travel time, 5 mins lookn fer a port). Well there i was walkn through the pile of re-dead when i finially got downstairs. killed a few with ease due to my ubah chantah pet at 44 (go Jebeker GO!) just for fun i decided to check the corpses to see if the loot table had been changed....POOF! i almost fainted when i saw that viel considering i was wearing a plat star ruby one. So i'm thinkn it's pretty safe to say that i was the first one to get that viel on Druzzil Ro. I called it to the zone and everyone came runnin :) i feel special. Thnx to Mythus for controlling some of that nasty spell interupting aggro on me.

Btw Some pristine bracer of errolis marr or summn like that droped on me to, gave it to the ranger...or was she a druid?

I believe they have removed this drop, as well as the Primordial Ritualist sceptr and robe.

No drop out of last 10 spawns. Others had heard that they were removing these items.

I hope every enchanter doesn't hate me for this. I was a lvl 18 warrior and this thing fell within the first 10 minutes of entering 3rd floor of Befallen. I had never heard of it and no one in group could use it, so I looted it. So right now all the int and cha is basically being wasted as my warrior wears it for the 5ac.

mith marr might not have veils anymore either which sucks darn it

WOW I must be Hella Lucky I dropped down the well and wandered the 3rd floor and this was the 4trh Kill I made and dropped the veil. I know that 3 other guildies got one the same night as well. its a great chanter item with +10 CHA

With my 36 monk 36 cleric and 35 bard completely dominated the 3rd floor to get this mask and a sceptre for the cleric after 6 hours of killing everything we recieved:
Many jasper and bloodsones forthe cleric, along with a ton of malachite.
One ribcage sheild
One guardien dagger

Since our cleric was a highelf she couldn't use the sheild :( So a lowlevel shadowknight friend of ours recieved the sheild and dagger.
The night wasn't a total loss we were able to help out some others that got trapped on third floor and we actually got a prett decent amount of pp. But my monk sure would like this mask.

IMO If you are a monk don't bother with the invesment of time to get this mask. If you are an enchanter ... Why aren't you on right now camping it ?? If you are another int caster Its a real nice mask might be worth the time and you can pick up some cats eye agate while you are down there.
