I am a warrior that had this weapon back in the day.... I would like it again.... if only for the graphic..... Not sure I could go get the higher end one on my own... but lil Lord Vyemm might have to have a visit from me...... I am not sure what happened to my old one.... might be packed up in my house that was reclaimed LOL. Hell Id pay a RL Smithy to make this sword for me... it has the UBEREST graphic....... The day I was granted this weapon from my guild i stood up and cheered my *** off....... used it for years

A very decent weapon... not complete on aa's am I, but often hits high 200's for me and double hits at that. Also, proc "Rage of the Sky" is unresistable with a stun ... try that for DD based weaponry. With CF1, all defensive aa's, max strength (305), and 280ish Dex I get max crit hits around 480 ... not a bad weapon. Used it in most of the plains (Earth, Air, Water, Fire) and never had proc resisted. Bear in mind that this isn't a weapon an MA would use, most would prefer a BoW (Blade of War -- off RZ in Tactics), then again.. I'm not an MA =)

still using this badboy.. not the greatest on stats, still very decent damage.. high end crits reaching 500's ..with 325 - 330ish combat stats.. the stun still helps with agro, also have Anger III aug in it.. not a mainline tank weapon.. but has served me well all this time. Crippling blows reaching high 800's with this (berzerk, with mightystrike disc going) .. still only running PB2 (need to complete 3) .. but more often hitting for high 200's with most hits being around 330 ... still a very decent weapon. Have noticed 1k+ damage combat rounds with it, certainly not gonna complain.. three 300'ish hits and a sub 200ish all in one combat round (PB2, Flurry2 or 3).
And, yes... awsome graphic as always.

i placed an anger II proc on this 2H and i will NEVER duel wield while taking ever again ....... once u get PB3 AA and the right dmg mitigation i dunt care if u use defensive proc.... u still will get dps...... im planning to place anger III on epic 2H and see the results from that but man is it lovely having groups that want u 2 tank cuz u take less dmg then DW tanks....... and can hold agro 2 boot

The problem with 2hander vs 2x1hander is not damage, and not taunt. The problem is riposte. When ya hit a mob, he has a chance of hitting you back, if you're attacking from the front.
If you are a warrior, chances are you are attacking from the front. If you use a weapon combo that deals a bit more damage, but hits the mob 5x as frequently, youll hafta deal with 5x as many ripostes as using a high damage high dly 2hander. THAT is why 2handers > DW at high lvls, NOT taunt and NOT damage.

The amount of reposte damage you eat while using this sucker vs. blazing away with 2 sub-20 delay 1 handers is significant. Especially when the crap you're tanking repostes for like 1k a pop.
DPS, unresistable proc...this is a sweet blade. I switched from a willsapper/fleshgrinder to Gaudralek a few weeks ago, and it's holding aggo just as well if not better than my 1-handed setup. And adding considerably more DPS as well.

Incorrect sir. Offhand goes off its own delay.
Everyime its delay comes up it checks against dual wield to swing. Has nothign to do with primary weapon.

actually, he has a very good point. using a 2hs over DW combo will save the cleric 1 or 2 CHs if you are tanking in a tier 2 + POP or other high lvl raid encounters per fight. also, many 2hs weps (such as windblade) can outdamage many DW combos. not all, but many, AND saving on riposte damage at the same time. that is why 2hs rocks, and DW doesnt rock (if you are a MT)

I have to agree but this is only relevant for maybe 2 % of the all warriors who play EQ cause only those will face mobs who riposte for so much damage that every single riposte is one too much and only those will be able to get a good aggro proccing twohander like the one dropping off Rallos Zek.
For the vast majority of warriors, DW > 2handers and always will be.

I may be stepping out on a limb here, but I'm assuming if you are looking at looting this sword, you are in a raiding guild and taking down mobs like the one that drops this sword, and hence face mobs that hit for 1k+.
In other words, even if I were to accept that it's only good for 2% of warriors (which I don't), it should be good for 100% of the warriors that will have a chance to loot it.

Um No. Taking less damage is relevant for every warrior, not 2%.
Doesn't matter if the mob repostes for 200 or 2000. If you can find a 2-hander that you can maintain aggro with, take that over DW any day of the week. This blade is such a weapon.

I'm a high level war, and although it is true most wars weild 1 handers at the higher levels, it also depends on if you are a Main Tank, and when your turn to MT is on a mob. I have found that some of my 2 handers can aggro a mob off a duel weilding , taunting war. It is true that proximaty and facing of the mob does have an effect on aggro. I have to admit tho, I lub 2 handers and always will, so this might slant my take on the situation.

Blade shape is similar to the High Elf Paladin obtainable 2HS weapon from the Plane of Growth (Nature's Defender?). The Blade is thick but unlike the Pally sword, this one only has a few runes which are thick and progress 3/4 of the way up the sword. It's a great sword.
As far as it being "worthless" or "crap" compared to Primal weapons or things on FoH's site, that's a bunch of hooey. A level 60 warrior who has a primal warsword (which is 1HS) will also have a Dex high enough so that it procs very often (3-6 times per minute). During long fights, a lot of melee will switch out their primal (because the ratios and +stats aren't THAT spiffy) and equip a weapon like this to do the most damage possible while Avatar is in effect (6 minutes), and then switch back before Avatar runs out until their primal procs again.
It's a great sword, one of Vyemm's better loots.

It looks SWEET one of my RL friends in the game has it on r server it has a gold handel with dark blue gem before the sweet dark metal blad with gold text on it friend is a troll so it looks bigger makeing it cooler.

Im still young, only a mere level 33 ranger, but at level 20 when my damage cap was removed, 2hs was doing a great amount more damage. nowadays though i cant seem to keep my fights up with 2 handers, and my one handers (especially now that double attack works almost 75% of the time) far outdamage it. I think that with age things change, and ive heard at level 52 all weapons get a +2 dmg bonus (stats on weap), which changes its ratio greatly for 1hands, but not so much with 2 hands.
Personally, I think it all has to do with what you have. I myself use a Wurmslayer and Kunzar Ku'juch as my two 1HS weapons, but I've got an Argent defender for 2HS. I'd have to say that the damage output is roughly equal, with a slight nod going to the AD. As far as the level 52 thing, I've heard the same things as well, but can't confirm it. After all, I'm still a few levels short. :)

Also, I hear that 1hs is better for rangers to use. My ranger friend told me this, not sure why though. I myself use them both evenly, to max out the skill lvl.

Be aware this is my own opinion, and so you don't have to share it. Monks and Rogues- Damage dealers, Paladins, Shadowknights, Rangers-Support tanks, Clerics-buffers and healers, Druids and Shamans-buffers and support healers, Wizards-Nuking, Necomancers and Mages-Support nukers and support tanks (pets), Enchanters-support nukers and buffers, mostly mezzing though, and finally, Warriors, the masters of all weaponry and warfare-Rodeo clowns, their sole purpose at the high lvls, shout like an idiot at the mobs and get hit. A real shame I must say.
Yes. At the high levels, you won't get far without everyone doing their part. That is ESPECIALLY true of warrior. Sure, the other classes may be great at what they can do to the uber-mobs. But the simple warrior buys all the other classes the one thing they need to do their voodoo... Time.
Hey, it's an idiotic game...

By the time you can get it, you may have something better, but the thing I always hear for warriors is, Ac is king for warriors. Well, this thing is a freakin' shield almost. And the damage is a few points away from the delay. Get a haste buff an avatar and death will follow that warrior around like a lost puppy.

woah woah woah... correct me if im wrong but i dont think the sleeper hasnt been dropped yet and beings as ive heard he has somewhere in the billions in hit points i dont know if he ever will. but ne way no matter what way u look at it this loot is not junk, it is one of the best weapons out right now, i would drop ne other weapon(not including the ones better then this thing) in a heartbeat if i got this thing. like it says after the ratio, this thing is godly. i would love to see the stuff that makes this sword junk in your eyes.

Aint never gunna be dropped. Ever. Wasn't ment to be killed and it's a VI's attempt to make a dynamic story line. So, once the warders are dead, that's it. The zone is forever changed and the sleeper is no more. I have heard rumors about a quest to trap 'em again but I think it's just more wishful thinking than anything.
The problem is if you're trying to tank as a warrior, you want to try to generate as much aggro as you can to get the mob to stick on you. Even a two-hander with a really good ratio like this one would have trouble doing that. It would need to have a really high-taunt proc to get things to stick on you, or be given resists so it could be an ideal "non-tanking" weapon.
I agree that the DMG ratio of this weapon would be good for taunt. But one thing that many people do not realize is the location to where u are in the fight. Most of the time if some one is closest to the mob the mob will attack them. I play a cleric/Druid/Necro. I did an experoment once. I charged into the bacttle and stood under the mob he immediatly turned on me and beat me down to 1 bub of health from FOH. There was nothing any one could do to change it. I rooted the mob prior to doing so I could back out heh. As a necro u notice this too when partnering with a mage. Your pet gets beat on a hell of alot more then the mages. It only due to your pet being closer to the mob! So all u tanks get in there close and rock it house.
its called Proximity agro.

The only time someone that could actualy GET this sword would want to use it, since they would most likely have to be level 60 and i doubt they'd be doing much for 1 group exp things....only time they'd use it is if they were a main tank on a big raid, but with 30 or 40 or 50 people arround depending where you are, someone with a swiftblade of 18 delay and another fast weapon offhand is gonna out taunt the guy usin this so the 30 AC on it is kinda wasted...

I don't mean to go off on a rant here, but it's called Allakhazam is finally fed up with it. Fed up with people with brains the size of mummified walnuts spamming his boards with nothing but junk about "this is a monk item" or "druids get shafted again" and other such mindless drivel that makes the average player and reader of thses forums want to puke. From my personal observation, the worst whiners and beggars for anything and everything to be given to them on a silver platter are 90 percent of the time these same inane morons that obviously are too lazy to learn how to spell correctly, so they cover their inadequacies with symbols and numbers instead of letters, an even larger ego, and their favorite stack of **** rags that they use to pleasure themselves while waiting for the next big sucker to give them a freebie. I know I don't speak for people everywhere that are sick to death of the jerks and losers in the game, but if people would sit back and think for one second about how stupid they really look when posting spam and other such senseless crap, then maybe then boards like this wouldn't have to resort to such draconian measures.
