RPS

Bottom line, most guild killing first broods are probly on an RPS, so nothing is going to be "given" to anyone. if a monk wants to spend RPS on it, then they can.
why would monks want them anyway
# Feb 08 2003 at 2:28 AM Rating: Default

ignoring the 20 wt even if they was 2.0 wt i would think monks would prefer Gods or even epic over theese. Im unsure but i think monk epics are 100hp anyhow. After looking for gloves for my ranger I would take theese honestly over Yelis head ( for Gods ). for one reason the claw in ssra is hands equipabel and I dont want to have haste on my hands. My reason is simple get claw from Ssra, acrylia broad sword from Emp. ( most guilds give theese to rangers what i noticed. on my server I have yet to see a rogue or bard with one). Agnarr drops a 17 20 sword which a ranger also has a great chance to get leaving the hands open for claw.

Now i know a lot of people are saying WTF you talking about rangers dont get those weapons. What I seen on the ssra weapons they do. Rogues who are using the backstab mod piercers in each hand, warriors get anything that has agro proc on it. Which leaves the agnar sword to rangers and bards but most bards use epic in offhand for the proc to help DPS, and get a lot of decent weapons in ssra. So rangers do have a decent chance for that sword too, as well as the 14 18 one ( not the one with the stun proc )
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 25 2002 at 3:24 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Guess what. This IS NOT a monk item.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 11 2003 at 10:55 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) it is if he as especially light gear, besides, its gotta hell of alot of AC on it, so with the 7str its 13wt, ac could make up for that a little. Anyway Yoda, Thanks for the input.

No Shemfade. Monks are limited on weight unlike other classes. Their STR doesn't matter.
#Diepen, Posted: Dec 04 2002 at 7:04 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Seems kinda stupid to have an item usable by monks that weighs more than any monk can carry in total without a stat penalty.
Gloves

Lendiniara the Keeper (Temple of Veeshan) is found in the West Wing. Its a First Brood dragon, so drops a nice Talisman along with some other nice goodies.

The gloves are a black colour and go nicely with the rest of my rogue oufit.

Dead monk if you wear gloves that have a weight of 20.
Very nice

What a great item I only wish a wussy little High Elf clric could where this without being way over weight. Oh well but I would give big congratz to anyone who had these.
RE: Very nice
# May 10 2002 at 7:03 AM Rating: Default
Why would a high elf cleric want these? If you are capable of getting these, get Gauntlets of Dragon Slaying..
one little question...
# Jun 20 2001 at 10:06 AM Rating: Decent
why is it that every single item with somewhat uber stats gets a comment on it "this would be awsome for monks!" followed by some complaint about the one shortcomming of the item... usually weight... followed by a list of flames...?

i would love, for once, to read the comments on an item, and actually be told some useful information about what drops it and where, what the proc does, etc, rather than a long flame started by one guy (or girl) who aparantly has a bad case of item envy... it gets old after a while, ya know?

*shrug* just my two cents
Heavy
# Jun 20 2001 at 9:42 AM Rating: Default
Nice gloves, a little heavy for anyone but a warrior, or big race with a lot of STR
RE: Heavy
# Jun 20 2001 at 7:27 PM Rating: Default
Actually my level 40 ranger is using imbued granite spaulders, 19.4 wt and his wt is only at 104 out of 165 with some heavy bags and items in his inventory, so 20 wt isnt that much and for any melee'r isnt bad unless for monks

Why is it that every other item in this database has a running thread argueing about who should get it? The only people who dont post are the people who actually go and GET it.

None of the Uber guilds seem to have a problem in distributing the items they get, its only the people who stare at these items and wish they could go and get them. Sad, just sad.

Heh, thanks for all the positive feedback, I was getting really frustrated there! I get annoyed with people who post negative B.S. on this site because:

1. The site is awesome. My home page at work and at home (BTW, this sites hosts EQAtlas too!).

2. There are some really great posters here, people who take things that are very, very difficult to find out, and post them so that everyone has an easier time of it. I am not one of these people, but I am decent at mocking others, so I still allowed in the sandbox...

Please take the time to thank the REAL posters, i.e. the people who post information that helps you, and I'll keep my eyes open for more demons of stupidity to exercise!

P.S Illa, after posting this, gonna run to paypal for another donation. I didn't find out until recently that you also host EQAtlas, another great site (and also the bane of my work laser printers). Also, the last two interview with Curt Schilling and R.A. Salvatore were worth another donation just for those alone. Keep up the good work!

Monks...no
# Jun 19 2001 at 10:51 PM Rating: Default
I am surprised that any monk aruges that this is good for them. Even if they weighed nothing, they are still useless to a monk of apropriate level to attain them. Your EPICS are gloves.
RE: Monks...no
# Jul 12 2001 at 5:46 PM Rating: Default
With my monk I would use this as a resist item only, until I got my Epic. I haven’t tried going 18 over WT (16 WT now) but I would probably lose more than 20 AC, my gloves now have 8 AC. If I break even on AC the 75 HP and other stats would be nice.

# Nov 11 2001 at 9:27 AM Rating: Decent
You better start working on your epic then trying to get this :p

#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 19 2001 at 8:26 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) best class stuff is BS....any class that wants high Resist gloves should love those
#QrowMagnon, Posted: Jun 19 2001 at 5:54 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Best class for these gloves is Warrior. Near perfect stats for what a Warrior would want.
Ummm.....NO!
# Jun 19 2001 at 6:45 PM Rating: Decent
The best class for these is, IMO, all the melee classes there (not including monk, since these ARE a bit heavy). These have VERY good rogue stats, rogues need the stamina for heavier weapons in long fights. The strength for the backstabs. The hitpoints because, as a 50+ rogue, I know that the warrior's taunt is not always enough and sometimes the evade isn't either. And the resists are always nice too in case there is a dmg shield or AE spells or whatever. All classes need resists.
In response
# Jun 20 2001 at 8:12 AM Rating: Default
Three things.

1: This was made for ANY of the classes listed.
2: Between a rogue and a warrior i would happily give AC and resistance to a warrior over a rogue (no offense to rogues, but warriors are front line post 50)
3: Although a monk COULD use these, the weight just puts it way outa worth.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 20 2001 at 10:56 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) do you think that a rogue is not front line in fights? do you have any idea how easy it is, as a rogue, to out taunt a warrior?
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 20 2001 at 4:40 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If a 50+ rogue is wielding a heavy weapon, there's something wrong about him. 8)
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 19 2001 at 4:08 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) One pair of really, really heavy frikkin' gloves. Oh well, monks.. You know you want 'em, but do you wanna really waste 20.0wt on 'em? Didn't think so. Awesome for about any class listed.. EVEN monks. Since the new weight increase you guys get. And no, I don't play a monk, and no, I don't diss/love monks. Just saying, these are kickass gloves from a place I'll never be =P
