Vol. 9 No. 9 - Special
Edition

~ Gukta Falls, Forces
Routed ~

After one of the fiercest
battles ever fought in
Norrath, the Guktans and
their allies were finally
over-powered and routed by
the might of the Troll and
Dark Elf Host. There were
very few survivors.

Innothule Swamp was red
with the blood spilled by
those that died in this
horrid battle. Though the
Guktans were defeated, the

Trolls also suffered heavy
casualties as well Their
Dark Elf counterparts fared
slightly better. The
Guktan defenders that
survived are desperately
trying to assist the
wounded and get them to
safety and medical
assistance.

No one seemed to have much
time to talk with us,
though Rend Firstrike did
have a few things to say
about the battle.

"This was by far worse than
any fight I've ever been in
- the carnage and gore is
sickening and the stench is
worse. I saw many brave
warriors, both Elf and
Guktan alike fall this day,

and I can't help but wonder
if the battle would have
ended differently if
perhaps even Qeynos or
Kaladim had sent aid, but
alas our requests for
assistance went
unanswered."

Though the Guktans were
defeated here, they have
not lost their resolve.
The Elders say that they
will not admit total
defeat.

"We Guktans do not give up
so easily. Just because
these Trolls won a battle
does not mean they have
beaten us. No, Gukta lives
in us. As long as we live
and repeat our traditions
to our children Gukta will

live. We greatly appreciate
the assistance that those
who came to our aid
provided us. We will not
forget your sacrifices on
our behalf. We will not
dishonor your brave deeds
and memories by simply
giving up."

While cities like Kaladim
and Qeynos stand idly by,
the leaders of Kelethin and
Felwithe have continued to
pledge their support to the
Frogloks of Gukta and are
doing everything they can
to assist them in
rebuilding and reorganizing
their forces.

Although Kaladim's official
stances is neutrality, The
Mining Journal encourages

everyone to assist the
forces of good, because you
never know when the forces
of evil will show up at
your door step.
