if you have 150 dex...it would be alrite as long as you have haste(haste seems to helps proc more than dex) it would be recommanded if you have 180+dex
over-all this is an under-rated weapon by the majority

haste doesnt help proc. Dex helps proc. haste just lets you hit more so you have more chances to proc.

Wrong. Number of htis has abolsutely NOTHING to do with number of procs. Procs are a set number so it doesn't matter if you swing 10 times or 1000 times. It is always the same randomness.
Thats ridiculous of course the number of hits you do affects how many times it procs. Hypothetically if you swing this once every second unhasted and 5 times a second hasted, your chance to have a proc every second has been multiplied by 5. No number of attacks doesn't directly affect a proc going off like once every 5 hits but it sure affects the time in between procs.

It has been parsed and proven quite a few times that a weapons proce is based on time, not number of hits. i.e. If a certain weapon is set to proc an average of 3 times per minute, it will do so no matter if you have 0% haste or 100% haste. Each weapon in the game has its own set modifier as to how often it procs. The equation for how often a weapon procs is based on this modifier and your dex. Check out the steel warriors board for details about these parses. Seems to be a bit counter-intuative, but the numbers prove it.

God I want this. Today I was in a GM ran royal rumble tournament and the Ranger that won was using this. I dueled her after it was all over and it proced against me once (though i only lasted 3 or 4 minutes against her since she was 10 lvls higher). Im a beastie and am using a Stave of Shielding in my primary and Massive Velium Battlehammer in my secondary, but what i was wondering is, is the lack of dmg and bad delay on this REALLY WORTH the proc damage? I mean how often does thing proc. I wonder if it's even better than the BST epics. hmmmm

This dagger (which looks like the Lupine Dagger when equipped), drops off the Crypt Feaster (named 'sperm' mob) in the South Wing. The Crypt Feaster also drops the Bloodpoint.
At 56, it proced for 625 a few times each battle (using Swiftwind as my haste item + bard song). Be sure to have Cinder Jolt/Jolt AND Jolting Blades up if you're not tanking with this baby.
BTW, Beastlords are now also listed as a class that can use this dagger.

it says random mobs, but i've heard this drops in the same location as the sash of the dragonborn camp. just wondering if anyone knows what mob drops it

It dropped this morning off the Crypt Feaster in the South Wing. We had no rangers or beastlords in the group, so we randomed it off. I got fifth pick and ended up with this weapon.

I have one of these and paired with Swiftwind and 156 non buffed Dex it is a very effective weapon.
Procs at least 2 times in a short fight (under a min). It does get the mobs attention however. Best I had it do was 4 procs in under 6 secs needless to say the mob took a dirt nap.

And since they had to put that there on purpose you can bet your booties BST is going to stay there, too.
Proc's 4 times a fight with 152 dex. Solo'n easy blue light blue mobs.
Up to 9 times " Grouped" with 255 dex shammy buffs, bard song, chanter haste buffs, and velium swiftblade.
Hit my haste caps but thats fine. Love to see the mobs hp go down fast. 625 X 9 = fast death.

I just got this item as of 02/02/01 (go figure :P). I am level 48 ranger and can verify that it does not proc at this level, so it does proc at 50. Also, Beastlords CAN use this item =). Maybe just something they will take out later, but beastlords can use at this time. Can't wait 'till it procs =)

Oops, I meant 02/02/02, and wanted to add some other information. In inventory, it looks like a Lamentation and when equipped it looks like a Lupine dagger.

Never Mind the heading "Tusk for Sale" go to Tantor's Tusk to see that.
This Wep is Very Ubber, U will taunt if noone is Tanking. I use it only to Finish the Mobs off. I just use jolt to stop aggro, no big deal unless u are fighting ubber mobs.

I just got this dagger in EC. Im currently getting my percing skill up. Once your in a good group in DL it wants to proc up to 4 times. Thats with haste spell and Velium Swiftblade. I admit the damage and delay ratio is rather on the poor side, but if you take in account that more then likely you are in a group with Shammy or Chanter. I got 99 dex atm. I think I might try a Wyrmslayer and this with CC gaunts for the haste. That is once i hit lvl 50.

Seem to me that just another toy for ranger, not very interesting, or you have your dex maxed to 250 and lucky ! the ratio is really awful and for it proc more, you need to have a good delay, this one is too low... i guess it will be better with a delay of 21 and dmg of 3 if we respect ratio...

With the new "melee resistant" mobs in Luclin, this suddenly becomes a lot more interesting. If your swiftwind and primal are both hitting for min damage, a 600pt nuke proc might not be too bad. Just wish there were something equivalent for rogues.

Well it is rather (uber) Conflag is a 625 fire based DD but proc rate is rather low so one needs good dex and haste to put this baby to its best.
also it will not proc untill lvl 50

I think it's a 450dd. Just got one but it won't proc for me yet. =( Need a couple more levels
