Was just in Stable Trying to get My mob to pop for Shaman Epic to drop the Student's Log and Got my 5th of the 6 Pieces off a Plaguebone Skeleton hope this helps.

Cleaning out my bank of No Drop junk and find I have TWO of the Shaman Epic Items. I Guess I should have been a shaman... Oh well. Have to see if they can be MQ'd....

Unless I am mistaken, this and 5 others are combined in a container and turned in. So it cannot be MQ'ed.

You are not mistaken. This is infact combined in a container, not capable of being MQ'd. Fortunately, it's a fairly common drop.
I just looted one of these from A Bewildered Wanderer.

They also drop off (quite frequently too) the numerous undead on the water side to the right of ent. However, this zone is being revamped on 9 July and drop rates (and mobs) may change.
