this item needs updated, i know for a fact this weopon can be used by Beastlords as my Iskar beastlord has this weapon equiped as primary weapon

Here's the important thing about the fang - it's a magic weapon. Not an easy thing normally for a newbie to acquire.
If you want a magic piercing weapon, sneak over to dreadlands, and offer to buy a drachnid leg tip (5pp should get you one), or loot one off a rotting corpse. As long as you do it before you hit lvl 10, you'll repop at your bind if you die, with your equipment, so just try again.
Hey for a newbie, this thing really isnt half bad, plus you get the extra reward of saying you got it your self. IM suprised they put this guy in the game its a really great newbie camp.

i have one and it procs like 6 time s a fight but i still dont klnow what sear does any one know?

This weapon is like it says "Aweful." The sear doesnt proc very often and it doesnt make a difference when fighting. It DOES look cool though when Sear works. I might use it as a second weapon in duel wield just for effects.

the fang is not useable by monks, however, the item you want, the charm, IS usable by monks as I have used it on my monk for a long time. There is a hole in a small hill when you turn left after leaving cabilis in the FOB, look for that hill, there should be two of them, one has pillars in front, and no spiders in it facing the pit, this is not the correct one, the one you lookin for faces away and has no marked entrance. kill all the spiders in the hole until the yellow one spawns, this can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours. you wil get either the fang or the charm... both can be sold to merchants for about 4 gold, but they are magical and not no drop, plus the fang has a DOT proc below level 9 so it is worth more to players, especailly on the mainland who have less access to the FOB.

On the pvp server (rallos), we looted one of these. We tested it on one another and could hardly tell a difference because the Iksars regen sorta neutralizes it for a little bit. Its a weak weak weak weak dot. Looks cool when it procs though.

Sear still seems to be a mystery.
The most commonly heard theory is that it's a fire-based DoT, doing 1 point per tick for 6 ticks. I.E. Not much, in essence, keeping the mob from regeneration for half a minute.
This has not been confirmed, however. Any futher information is appreciated.

My friend found a burynaibane spider and looted one of these. He had a horrible piercing skill so he let me use it for awhile. The effect procs really low (about 6). And I originally thought it was a DD but after awhile I was informed "Your Sear spell has worn off." so I have have no idea what it does. Anyone know anything about Sear?

Thinking about looting one on pvp but if its SO low as to not even notice.... after level 6 (when PK'able) Its hardly worth it, I have an obsidian shard currently... looking for free items I can loot that will give me an edge. not that you should be using this by the time your duel weilding, but you can, its not lore...

I bought one of these off a vendor in West Cabilis at Lv 3 for 1p and some change and it was proccing at that level for me. As for the effect of the Sear spell, it appears to be a really crappy DoT. Just my 2cp.
