Rediculous REGEN or insane HP???
# Jan 18 2005 at 4:07 AM Rating: Default
Hiya all,

Been while since I posted anything. I went after this **** earlier today w/ my druid alone. at lvl 65 my druid has decent mana around 5300 nothing uber, and weak hp of 3160 unbuffed. I figured hed be sinch to kill since my dots tick out 600/tick and my nukes are mana efficient and cause 1500-2400DD. This is not the case at all, I stacked my first round on him and rooted him thinking thisll be over soon. Did all of 3% to him w dots. tried nuking him 1-2%. I was already down a bub almost of mana. Gave up and logged to post. Any idea nature ofthis beast? quest mob only or does her really drop something and does he take an entire raid force to kill, cause less he regens fast my minor 5% attack on him yeilded him to have over 150k hp.

thx for feedback if any on this post.
dmg bonus
# Aug 06 2003 at 11:04 AM Rating: Decent
I recently traded my wurmy for this because when i looked at it there was a dmg bonus of 8 in addition to the above stats. Why isnt this bonus listed above or on other EOTTMs I see for sale in the bazaar?
RE: dmg bonus
# Aug 07 2003 at 4:00 PM Rating: Decent
Because the damage bonus depends on your level and class.
RE: dmg bonus
# Aug 11 2003 at 11:05 AM Rating: Decent
does that mean the dmg bonus will continue to increase as i go up in lvl?
RE: dmg bonus
# Nov 14 2004 at 5:37 AM Rating: Decent
yes to your question.

Also to elaborate...

for 1h... bonus depends on Level and Class of wielder.

for 2h... bonus depends on Level (of wielder) and Delay (of weap-> high delay=high bonus)
Spawn time?

Spawn time on this guy by chance :) ? Thanks! :)

I'm definatly going to get one of these for my Ranger no matter what the cost... this thing looks great and my Ranger just made dual weild, yeha he's low but it'll be great for him, right now he's trained in peircing only but I'm changing it to peircing and 1Hs I'm keeping my peircing weapon sine it's pretty good it has a ration of 10 22 like this and has a proc I'm pretty sure it has stats to but I'm not sure of the name or anything else...

I got this nice sword today for my lvl 37 ranger, traded split paw hide gloves (I didnt even know I had =P!!) Split paw tooth necklace. 2polished steel ulaks and 150pp for this sucker. Thats like 196pp for this thing, I havent used it yet. I had to logg as soon as I got it. I will be using it tomorrow. I'm trying to decide weather to use this in primary and my centi SS in offhand or my wurmslayer in primary and EoTM in offhand.
Will just have to see the combo's. I cant wait to get my lamentation in a couple of days. I will have it in primary and this in offhand.
Great Deal

Stamina Schmamina
# Jan 04 2002 at 1:39 AM Rating: Default
If you have 100+ Stamina (including items), you don't even have to worry about weight of weapons in the first place. Only thing zero stamina in your yellow bar will do to you at that point is prevent you from jumping... nothing else. Not speed, not weapon delay, nothing.

The Wurmslayer's weight doesn't mean jack squat unless you're a twink who poured all your money into one and didn't bother buying a couple cheap pieces of stam jewelry... and 6.5 wt is nothing in comparison. *ANY* melee should have 100 Stamina at the least by the time they get something like this.
RE: Stamina Schmamina
# Oct 27 2003 at 10:30 AM Rating: Decent
Having now played a Tank, Ranger, SK and Monk, all of which depend on their ability to attack at maximum efficiency, I think i can add my 2 cp to this.

Stamina does affect your ability to fight. It affects your ability to hit well and often. I have noticed on my Warrior and Ranger that when dual wielding I actually slow down once my stamina bar is empty (you tend to notice this when you are swinging fast weapons that are 19 delay). I don't swing quite as often and I miss alot more. My Ranger has Stamina add's that take him over 100, and when he does have them he still slows down walking/running if he is exhausted. Even my necro notices this (level 55 with over 115 STA).

You may still get big hits, but you won't get them as often and you won't be able to get away from the mob as easily if you have to turn tail.
RE: Stamina Schmamina
# Mar 24 2002 at 3:56 AM Rating: Decent
i have an ogre with 175 stamina. it is very difficult to fight more than 2 or 3 tough mobs at once because of stamina issues. i have a wurmy in first hand and a blade of taskmaster in other totaling 21.5 weight. after second blue i am totaly out of bubbles on stamina bar and begin to swing very slowly. this encourages sudden death. when out of stamina your agility quite a bit. this slows ur walk speed. oh yes u cant jump. its not a strength issue i have 198 in that department. but many a time i have almost died due to running out of endurance and mobs really start to put it to u. especially if u cant bash/smash the last few casters as rapidly.

Hah! Thats funny, I'm a ranger of Tunare (lvl 36) and I have a wurmslayer/centi LS combo, my highest slash has been 106 points of damage. But I had a high lvl ranger buff that increased dmg. anywho, I dont worry about sta. I have 109sta and I swing alot with FBSS (haste) and If I run low on sta, I root pull back, and hit myself with invigor, every warrior needs a item with the spell "Invigor as a clickable"... I think that some of the cobalt armor has invigor, try it out sometime.
RE: Stamina Schmamina
# Feb 07 2002 at 11:52 AM Rating: Good
This post is very misleading. Yes your weapon speed and run speed won't slow down with your fatigue bar drained all the way to 0, BUT you hit less often for full damage and that is a BIG problem. So to recap, you may not slow down, but you WILL be less effective. Now the part about 100+ stamina, this does mean that you will not slow down when tired, like you do with under 100 stamina, but as stated above, you hit less often for full dmg.

Try it sometime, log your hits against identical mobs. Do one with a bard singing for you (not fighting) to keep your stamina up, and then log another fight without the bard. You will see a destinct difference.

RE: Stamina Schmamina
# Apr 29 2002 at 5:37 PM Rating: Excellent
I tend to agree with Slogha here. As a Ranger with low stamina ( below 100 without buffs) I use Invigor constantly with a Wurmy in primary. When buffed though i have let my Stamina bottom out and i do notice a serious lack in striking power. I would have to say about the only thing having over 100 Stamina does for me is keep my stats where they are when below 20 % Stamina.
RE: Stamina Schmamina
# Apr 29 2002 at 7:55 PM Rating: Default
I'm actually gonna disagree with you...

I'm a Dark Elven Shadowknight and I wield a Reaver (25.0 weight) and I have over 100sta and am yet to see my performance diminish due to having no stamina left in the bar... In fact, my biggest hits (double 206/204 at 52) was right in the middle of a nice froglok train in Sebilis, so if you're gonna say that having no stamina in your bar decreases your maximum damage output... I don't know what to tell you... *shrugs*
Yes, it is heavy
# Oct 29 2001 at 12:27 PM Rating: Decent
6.5 is extremely heavy.

sure it only is 1.5 for encumberance purposes, but for stamina draining, 6.5 is heavier than most weapons of this caliber.

I use one, however, but I am bard who is always playing cantana of replenishment and stamina is not an issue for me.

ROCKS!!
# Sep 30 2001 at 4:38 PM Rating: Default
This item rocks.....

Ok here is the deal it is actualy about 1.5 stones heavy if you think about it....

It weighs 6.5 stones but increases your str by +5

6.5 - 5 = 1.5
#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 15 2001 at 3:12 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) That is very stupid of you.
RE: ROCKS!!
# Jan 01 2002 at 10:32 AM Rating: Decent
That would be true only if the weapon gives you 160 str. And if it does, tell me where I can pick one up. The +5 str on the sword compensates for 5 of the 6.5 stones. Therefore, that's only 1.5 more if you're talking about encumberance. I think you're talking about two different things.

It's got some nice stats on it, yes, but ***** 1hs for the rogues :) We have some nice swords, but I would much rather Verant focus on some REALLY nice piercers for us. Untill then, I'm stickin' with my RB/BP combo (untill I get somethin' better than the BP... if that's possible outside of VP)
RE: In regards to: Huh
# Jun 14 2001 at 6:07 AM Rating: Decent
But if you'll recall, verant has made statements about the unlikelihood of them making many high-damage rogue-useable piercing weapons, since they don't want all these rogues running around, backstabbing everything for 5k. =)

this drops in Great divide, of the giant taskmaster. i seen a bunch of people kill him. he looked tough. part of some massive high level quest i think, a quest that replaces ALL mobs of the great divide with 55+ giants WOW. enter at your own risk is right

I think the quest your taking about is the 10th ring quest. Taskmaster Abyott is for a different quest. He's part of the Circlet of the Falinkan quest.

I just started seeing him. Was wondering what he dropped. May have to clue in the guild to go kill him. Too bad the raid leader just got his epics, prolly won;t be too excited about killing him.

It is a little odd that Rogues can't use this fella. It is pretty much standard for them to get access to any 1HS that is useable by Warriors and hybrids.

RE: Huh
# Jun 12 2001 at 10:42 PM Rating: Default
hehe yeah but you show me a Rogue using a 2HS...and I'll show you a rogue who needs to be retraines hehe. Few 2HS weapons are really made for Rogues in mind. Hybrids have to make a living off them since they cannot Dual Wield. Fair trade as a 49 Pally who can add over 700hp to his count in my opinion. No whining from me ) But..I can't think of a time when I saw a Rogue use a 2HS ever. Always 2 piercers. Well...not always....but mostly )
RE: Huh
# Jun 13 2001 at 11:47 AM Rating: Decent
Rogues don't even get the 2HS skill. So I would change "Few 2HS weapons are really made for Rogues in mind" to "There are no 2HS weapons for rogues since they can't use them."
RE: Huh
# Jun 20 2001 at 10:06 PM Rating: Decent
rogues don't have 2hs skill but there are 2hs weapons that are rogue-wieldable. like the elegant darkwood katana or whatever crap that comes off general v :)
RE: Huh
# Jun 14 2001 at 5:28 AM Rating: Decent
Speaking of which, does it bother anyone else that bards get the 2hs skill, but the only 2hs weapons we can use are things like swarven two-handed axes? if they don't intend us to use the skill, it'd be nice if they'd not give it to is. every time i look @ my skills, 2hs just taunts me. hehe, please pardon my whining, as i don't do it publicly all to often. =P

most rogues have pretty low sta, so the smart rogues wont even want this, look at the weight...in one fight with most of the high hp Velious mobs, your sta would be gone. /shrug
