Bristletoedrops this but I don't see them listed as a source on this page.

Why does it say level 8 to attain when Bristletoe spawns at 12-13 and is located in a zone that is mostly 20+?? Any level 8 that goes off to NK in search of this Bristletoe better have his life insurance paid up or be uber twinked and buffed.

Ran across this named bear in NK totally by accident. Have only seen him once since Ive been playing.
I didn't even know what this thing was, but he attacked me in NK at 53???? I got the Jerkin but it's pretty useless now. I've been playing since release and it's the first time I've ever seen him. And, I spend a *lot* of time in NK. If you're on Vesshan give me a yell, be glad to sell it to you.

Ok, u know the millers near Surefall glade.. one that can make stuff out of wolf hides.. the other outta bear hides.. think that maybe the "silly superb bear hide" that someone found on bristletoe might just be given to one of them for the tunic?

Ok I have tried for 2 weeks straight (that is 14 days) for 4 hours each day and still no bear named Bristletoe in N Karrana. and it never showed up on my trac (I have a 27 wood elf druid). Is there a place holder. should I be killing the other bears.. somebody throw me a bone here. Please if and info send me an email (keyboarddesk@yahoo.com)

It was in NK on the way to the Spires, was blue to my 18 druid, and only had the jerkin on it, no pelts...was very easy to kill too. Prolly one of the forgotten rares that was never nerfed. The plus wis is pretty nice, but I already had a BCP so its getting sold =( Also dont know why its considered common. I'd never seen this bear in 2 yrs of playing.

my brother was running around in nk and ran into a named bear and it droped the jerkin, cant remember the name of the bear tho :( and i havnt seen it since then either

Just want to know where it drops or if it can be bought or quested for. Anyone know?

Actually, this tunic isn't new... it has been listed on Illia's Bestiary for a very long time. In North Karana there is a rare named bear named Bristletoe. He is supposed to drop it, but the one time I managed to find him all he had was some silly "superb bear hide". Hope you have better luck in getting one.
