Monk only bracer

This is a monk only bracer. There is no value in any other class getting this before them.
Quest = it goes to whoever did the quest dorks

I dont get people who think that this item is better for a particular class over another. Good grief, its a QUEST. The person who does the quest gets the item. It doesn't matter of they are not the ideal class. Fact is THEY did the quest, not you. The tears and symbols are used in many quests so you can default them to any particular class anyway. Come on people, use your brains before you post.

That is true that any class can use it, but it does favor melee and hybrids over casters. For one, it doesn't have raw mana, just 100+ hitpoints. It also has a 41% haste that makes it more efficent for melee and hybrids to get more use out of it (for instance, faster swings to keep taunt on a mob and away from a caster). The only kind of caster I've noticed that really melees a lot is a cleric. There are much better bracers for casters too which have raw mana and better resists.

perhaps.. but i and others can use haste while fear kiting... mmmmmm kill it before fear wears off thus.. haste.

good quest item as most casters "arn't elegable" for haste items otherwise in groups.

As for Casters bidding on haste items, it should be like it usually is, If none of the melee's need it then they can have a shot at it.

Alternatly The Silver charm of tranquility would prolly better for a caster at this stage of the game. It has no Int/Wis but it does have better saves and 100 mana which is better for those w/ maxed wis/int.

I'd have to say this is a melee bracer before anything else. yes, it has 10wis 10int but no mana and 100hp. And haste is a melee class ability more then anything else. I'd be pissed if a caster got this before a melee. >.<
Hrm...

Blew all my DKP, though.
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 30 2003 at 11:56 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Shaman with haste? Give_me_a_break. Allowing anyone other than melees and hyrbrids to have dibs on this would be a damn crime. If you spend more than half your time in groups hitting things with sticks, then we can talk. Until then, shut up.

My main is a druid but I have a 62 monk and 63 chanter. IMHO I believe all melees classes should get one of these before any caster unless that melee already had a 41% haste item. 41% haste is top notch. There is also no mana on these which sucks. If I had an option to choose....my monk get one first followed by my druid.
Um
# Nov 30 2003 at 11:51 PM Rating: Default
Sorry but just because the thing has Int and Wis does not make this Pal/SK item. There are too many other stats on this thing that any melee would use.

You're so right... it's deffinately a ranger item :p (Gimme!)
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 10 2003 at 7:38 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is DEFINITELY a pally/sk item.
RE: pally/sk
# Oct 03 2003 at 5:13 PM Rating: Decent
All/All, i would not limit this to any class. If i can i will get this. My sham would love to have a haste item to be added to my castable haste. I am sure every class would like haste. I am sick of people saying items belong to blah blah when it says All All. If a druid wants to go thru the quest then grats him.
RE: pally/sk
# Feb 14 2004 at 5:00 PM Rating: Good
Sorry I had to comment on this. Yes I agreee ALL/ALL means what it says. And I'm not saying it belongs to the Melee Class as much as a Ceramic Totem of Xegony belongs to a Caster :-). But the facts are that a Melee Class would make a lot more sense to use this item then a Caster Class. Just like a Ceramic Totem of Xegony would make a lot more sense if a Caster Class had first pick on it :-). (Even if its tailor made hehehe) The roles of the game is plain and simple. At higher lvls what Shaman in his right mind would want to Tank. I said Tank because that is what a Haste item is intended for. It was made to enhance a Weapons effectiveness in a Melee Combat. I'm not saying something is wrong with a Shaman getting Haste. I'm just saying at this lvl why would you want to bother getting a Haste Item when you would actually be assisting the Group by Slowing and Dot's? (Spell Casting, Not Melee) Honestly how many times will you ever Melle at this lvl. You would get slaughtered... I know of this cause I was trying to do this with my Druid...LOL

Doz is a joke
# Dec 06 2002 at 8:50 PM Rating: Default
The hardest part about Doz is catching him up, there are stacks of guilds on bristlebane that are HoT capable and able to kill doz, so when he pops, he rapidly drops. If you think this guys is tough, wait till you try Master of the Guard, or the Progenitor in ST. Laf, then you'll see tough.
Or half the named in Vex Thal, talk about endurance battles. This guy USED to be tough, pre luclin, but with aa skills like combat stability and combat agility, he's a pushover. P.S. Also a tip, your MT can be out of lineof sight of your CH chain clerics........

absolutley, i totally agree, Can be used by all! As a shammy i solo sometimes and tank when i solo with my dogdog. Ya prolly not the most IDEAL class for it, but it nonetheless rocks for that purpose.

I hate posters that say this is for this class and that class. So all you have to do my friends is rate their post's as awful and we dont have to see them.

#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 05 2003 at 6:57 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) sorry, but unless you have your own group of friends farming doze, a caster will not get this bracer. and i don't care that it has int and wis on it. it's a melee bracer and there's plenty of bracers more designed for casters. feel free to show me any caster who has this.
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 27 2003 at 3:37 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) you are an idiot tarz
RE: Who it's best for:

Without a doubt the single best post there. Smiley: grin
My guild just got ToV-enabled. Many are thinking "big deal" but we only have about 15 players on at any one time. We had two wipes, an add and someone opened the door but got two armor pieces and a lot of confidence. Not ready for the Wicked guy for a while but all armor will help in the long run.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 17 2002 at 2:24 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) okay this is in fact going to get the most use out of a pally or an sk. every stat is being used the most for those classes. monk this item is awesome because its weightless. whoever posted about items like this and people should shut up about class only. stop making an *** of yourself.

This item is SOOOO a shadowknight/pally bracer! omg omg! it has 10 int/wis! holy jesus! it's soooo a pally/sk bracer!
/sarcasm off
I really really hate people who poste 'This should go to this class-type only' crap, it's moronic and narrow sighted.
Unless you're a guildleader of a guild capable of doing this quest you shouldn't even freakin care about it. Most of the people posting things like that are mid 40's gawking at a 38ac item and thinking it drops off an orc pawn in some zone they've never heard of and feel the right to say who should get it.
So stop it and post info about the item, not who should get it.
btw, got a black symbol for this off of Casalena or something close to that in HoT today.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 12 2002 at 5:44 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I dont know how many of you ae on a PvP server, and how many of you have ever plaed a monk, but this itemis made specifically for a monk. An item with 38! ac, huge stats and resists, 0.0 weight, ohh and BTW HASTE!!!!! This peice is monk, and monk only. LOL i dont care that is has Int, or Wiz. Who the fdhf cares! I will have one soon :P
RE: LOL!!!!!!
# Oct 12 2002 at 9:34 PM Rating: Default
shut IT!!!!!!!!! how many people do you know that complain about being over wt? lots. everyone hates it so a bracer that wt is 0.0 ROCKS for ANY one. plus in higher lvls monks arnt needed to tank so they dont really need the AC. so again i say SHUT THE F*CK UP!!! its an anyone item, if it was made for monk it would be MONK ONLY!!!!
can this be MQ'd?
# Sep 15 2002 at 1:10 PM Rating: Decent
Hey all, was wondering if anyone knows for sure if this item can be multi-quested or not. I have an old character that has 3 out of the 4 items, only need the runed symbol. But I am now playing a new character which i like so much more.

Given that the quest mob is left alive long enough to turn in the items, can i just have the old char give 3 of the items to mob, then have my new char give the 4th and final item?

Thanks for any help
RE: can this be MQ'd?
# Sep 28 2002 at 5:23 AM Rating: Excellent
Yes, they can be multiquested, but both characters need ally faction to CoV.
I was looting some symbols on our first HoT runs because noone knew what they were for and multiquested 2 of them with clerics in my guild for buckler of insight.
Worked like a charm.
Just waiting on Lendidiara to spawn to get my own silver bracelet of speed.

#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 23 2003 at 2:43 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) umm? did you even look at the item as described? it is lore hence can only have 1 and it is no drop so you will have to get at least one of the quest items yourself. if you can get the one then you chould be able to get the other 3 eventually.
Bloody Serrated Symbol
# Sep 05 2002 at 11:37 PM Rating: Decent
I've had everything but serrated for 2 months now of consistant killing of HoT named, and have yet to see even ONE of those symbols drop. Has ANYONE seen this recently and just for my own sanity which named did it come off? Yes I know they can all drop it dadadaada.. Thanks!

#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 28 2002 at 1:46 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I know yall think that a Hast Item should only go to Melee classes but I have news for you Your Clerics could sure use the hit points and HP to help stay alive while healing yall. This may seem unimportant to some that just laugh when a cleric dies but try to get a rez or a better heal and you will not find one. Keep the mobs off the cleric is the name of the game even if it cost the melee his own life out there. The Clerics give unselfishly and usually do not get much in return. They cast Symbol which costs them and usually do not loot much because they are busy medding to keep others going. Give them a break

Priests can shoot for the Shield of Holy Vigor. It's a really nice priest-only shield with 41% haste. Drops in ssra.
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 28 2002 at 3:46 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) No preist class will ever have this, and if they do it is a totall waste. 41 percent haste is currently the best in the game...
RE: Silver Bracelet of Speed

I usually dont post here, but some people really need to read before posting here.
This item doesnt drop, it is the result of a quest.
My guild has 2 people ready for this quest (aside from the platinum tear) and it is very likely only one will get the item before guild progression will make it unlikely we will hit Dozekar again (after hunting in ToV for 4+ months).
The 3 symbols are drops off named wyverns in the Halls of Testing in Temple of Veeshan (3 day respawn).
The platinum tear needed drops off Dozekar the Cursed, a 7 day spawn in Halls of testing and is one of the rare tears he can drop (he drops between 2 and 4 tears out of ~12).
So you first need a guild capable of taking out Dozekar (hits for up to 900-quadding, has a 400 point unresistable AoE every 10 seconds that also strips your top buff) and you have to find him up (you can bet your guild is not the only one looking for him).
Second little detail is the necessary faction.
You need to be ally to Claws of Veeshan to complete the quest.
Most guilds who are capable of taking out Dozekar move to giant faction soon after and start killing mobs in West ToV which seriously hurts your CoV faction.
And third and probably most annoying detail is the fact that the quest mob for turn in sits in West ToV and is usually killed within 2 hours after spawning (Lenindara the Keeper).

And yes i am only a platinum tear away from completing the quest and we only have our warriors(primary) and other melees(secondary) on the list for the quest as all our raiding rangers and rogues have their epic and the most important detail of this item is the 41 percent haste.

Haste definatly helps melee keep mobs off clerics.

Sure it is nice for a clerice, but at 41% haste I cant really see clerics getting one, at lest not high on the list. If a cleric pulls agro on encountes on the level required to get this, chances are they wont live anyway.

This is raid loot, and how clerics uses peridots and loots in groups is not really relevant.

This bracer kicks *** for anyone who can use it, but I am pretty sure tanks and pullers are first in line.

Posts like this give monks a bad name. Some of us understand that zero weight doesn't default an item to us. But it is sad that this and many other items are far better than the best chest peice available to us.
