This is now at the top of my list of items that I MUST have some day. It's absolutely perfect. It's got Stats, it's got Resists, it's got heaps of AC, it's got HASTE! It has HP!!

If I've ever seen a better wrist item, I can't think of it right now. Maybe when Planes of Power comes out though.

LoL....Who gets what depends on who has what. A quest item for an ac38 bracer with haste and resists, i'd have to say this should go to a melee class by default. Just makes sense. A caster having this item would imo be nothing more than a luxury. I play a war and a wiz btw.

Love seeing people post, if this drops, I sure as hell am rolling for it..
Even with merit or dkp guilds, the symbols and tear will be bid on, or awarded to the person who the guild feels best will equip this. It's all/all yes, means anyone can equip it. I play a monk and chanter, both 60, on legends server, if I want my caster to get a ToV quest item, I think I'd much rather go for the buckler of insight rather a haste bracer. There's items you gain from ToV quests that benefit everyone. Everyone's role is important, hybrids, tanks, damage dealers, healers, nukers, buffers. Stop thinking that one class is more desired than another and realize that everyone is equally important.
In any case, it's taken over 2 months collecting the symbols I need for my bracelet, and thursday Doze is gonna be dropping my plat tear, no doubt.

Edited to add: Got my plat tear a month later, but since we're doing NTov my faction went down to scowling, so I'm being a faction ***** for a week or so.

Ok-I'll make this short and sweet...

First off, I'm a paladin (and I don't want to get into the BS warriors are better than hybrid discussion because fact of the matter is, spells take more aggro than taunt-stun is a *****-but warriors CAN deal and take more)...with that said-

38 ac, 10 wis, 10 int, all/all and resists...sounds like this item REGARDLESS of the fact that it has haste would be nice for anyone-how many int items for the wrist slot have 10 int AND 38 ac?? Hell-any caster would LOVE this (seeing as how it's ac is higher than most robes, which means the caster can take a hit better), and I KNOW clerics, shamans and druids would benefit from this as well.

Sure, the stats overall make it seem best used as a melee item (SK/PAL/RNG/BRD imho) but ya have to realize-it has stuff for EVERYONE on it.

If you're a caster in my group and this drops, I'd have no problem lettin ya have it should you roll better-this thing is good for everyone.

I normally dont post on this subject cause its an age old debate but why would any guild let a caster have this when they can just get a bracer of sense? sorry your whole thing about the 10int is not really a valid arguement you need to look around at gear before you post

Get a grip. No guild would ever give this to any type of caster. Its one of the best mellee bracers in the game. There tons of other stuff out there that gives casters better int, wis and FT. Sorry but if I seen a caster in the guild Im in ask for this Id have to give him a swift kick in the nuts.

Maybe so. PVP there is almost no point to warriors. Do you want to know why? It's because a cleric/shammy/enchanter is part of our class balance. Take us both and put us in front of a raid party and the warriors power is multiplied far further than a pally or SK. High end Pally/SKs can even have enough HPs to tank some NToV etc Mobs ... but the same guild will have Warriors who have 1k to 1.5k more hps and will be that much safer when getting quadded for 900. Give us both that shammy/chanter/cleric backup staff and let us duel... then talk.

In a high end guild you will not roll for anything nor will any class be favored (main tanks, pullers, main healers none of em will get an advantage) it will go on guild points for attending raids and such. If someone can use, has the most points, and wants it they will get it reguardless of class. I have seen Yelinak head go to a caster when there was melee that wanted it. All depends on points.

I been to a lot of guilds on a few servers and I have to say that is not always the truth. I guess it really depends on how equiped the guild is. I would think if the guild is not a super power they would start by favoring the warriors and clerics then work on the other classes after they are guild twinked into gods. Your guild is going to turn into a chatroom if you're not a super power already and doing this loot system you mentioned.

The Truth is I play a high lvl Shadow Knight and unless an item drops off a ubber mob marked for a specific hybrid only class no hybrid class will even remotely get a chance to get it. It sucks but it is part of the roll of hybrids in guilds that can get this kind of lute. Hybrids are seen as not important. We are not the pullers or the MA so we usually get nothing. It's just how it goes.

Loser. Yeah, I know of a lot of guilds in nToV that random off loot /sarcasm

I really would like to know what kind of loser guild exists out there where hybrids get nothing, LOL, as high end guilds have a myriad of **** rot from redoing the same kills over and over and over, and smaller guilds aren't going to **** off a large number of their members by trying to institute such a stupid policy.

2-3 MA warriors get dibs on +HP gear, warriors get dibs on high-aggro generating 1h weapons, cleric get dibs on FT items, beyond that, DKP will determine who gets what. After all, in these guilds, AC is effectively softcapped, everyone has 40-41% haste, everyone has maxed stats with standard raid buffs, etc.

Um, huh? Since when are hybrids not seen as important? Paladin group heals are insanely useful (and in many circumstances necessary) for a lot of high level encounters against AE mobs. Shadow Knights routinely act as pullers when a monk isn't available. Bards (considered a hybrid class) have their AE replenishment songs, as well as resistance debuffers, slows (for use until the shaman gets their slow off), and AE resistance buffs. Rangers have ATK/AC buffs and also deal a substantial amount of damage to mobs. Your comment seems like one from a frustrated player not receiving loot from his/her guild, or possibly a not-so-high level character without a clue as to the workings of higher level guilds.
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 16 2002 at 3:59 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) That is the stupidest post i have EVER saw. This is without a doubt a tank bracer.
RE: Hybrid
# Apr 27 2002 at 3:39 AM Rating: Default
Ok...first off, I have to say I like that you imply that hybrids are not tanks. Ok, well maybe not rangers, but yes, SK's and Pally's are tanks. And secondly, they have just as much use for this item as a warrior. We use AC, STR, STA, and Resists just like you, and we have a use for the INT/WIS, which you don't. And by the lvl you could possibly get this, 100hp means next to nothing, and the resists on this are a minor thing, especially in a raid situation where a shaman/cleric/chanter will take care of that for you. People who think warriors are the only ones who can tank are retarded. The ONLY thing that gives warriors an advantage is the defensive disc. That's it. Your hp and AC are not so much better that they set you apart. And as a 55 sk, I can take the aggro away from a 60 warrior anytime I want to, and keep it on me. No time required to build up on a pull either. SO stop acting like warriors are the only ones who should get these types of very nice items =P

"And by the lvl you could possibly get this, 100hp means next to nothing"
Neg sorry no way. Play a warrior at this level and your MAIN focuses are a) aggro b) hps
Try tanking AoW with 6k hps... don't think so. Aggro is fast weapons with aggro procs and a 40% haste item helps alot there. 100 hps + 10 sta ... with nd3 this gives a lvl 60 warrior 176 hps. Only VT items that Ive seen give more than 100 raw HPs. This item rocks for anybody sure. It mainly benefits melee though and if you are building your guild up like most guilds (not all of course) that deal with Doze are then you will want it to go to a main tank first... so you can go and farm all that uber NToV etc loot where you NEED a 7k hp tank.

I totally agree with Kruk. As a lvl 30 Shadow Knight, I can pull aggro away from almost any warrior. Fact is that between Pallys and SK's (the other tanks) we can pull aggro and keep aggro with taunt and spells. We aren't exactly meat shields but we aren't weaklings either. With a good weap and armor, along with decent items and spells we can deal as much or more damage as a warrior and take it too. The whole arguement is that. We as a dual class deserve the right to Uber items as this as well as any tank monk or any other class. It shouldn't be a pissing match, but it should be a fair roll for everyone. As a 30 SK, I would kill for haste items with these stats. But I guess it will be a while before I even get a remote chance at this item. Remember that we all fight together for the greater cause. Be fair and just to all.

From what I've observed though in the "end game" the damage output that pure melee receive from an upgrade will outstrip hybrid damage output that has received an equivalent upgrade... simply because they are unable to make their spells more powerful with gear. Unless there has recently been some new focus items I haven't heard about besides Mana Preservation, Affliction Efficiency, etc etc etc.

The spells stay the same, the melee gets better... but that 2% or whatever it is between a warr and a hybrid will be a bigger and bigger 2% as you get more and more uber. Shrug.

This was just a long way of saying that often in the end game, hybrids can't pull aggro off the tank until they hit defensive disc.
#Cannodamusq, Posted: Apr 02 2002 at 1:11 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok... All i have to say is a tank is dependant on a cleric and casters. But the thing is. I can twink a caster to 200 int/wis much easier than i can get my warriors ac up to the point where i don't need anymore. AND despite what you wizards think warriors monks and rogues do more damage then you. Sure you have 5k mana and you do a ton of damage real quick. But then you are out of mana. And we are still dealing and dealing. And Without a warrior tanking agro. You casters aren't gonna last 5 seconds against naggy or vox.

LOL at the "cracker *** tanks" post. Tanks keep you alive. I dare that guy to try to take on anything in ToV without a tank. If the option is there, and an item can greatly benefit a tank, it goes to him. Tanks rely heavily on their gear. Casters and Priests can still do their job with average gear. It is really easy to get 200+ wis or int, so what else do you really need other than resistances? Tanks need uber AC, and people notice when they don't have it. Ask and Cleric and other healer type. A bracer with 38 ac? Damn right a tank needs this. It is a fairly tough endeavor to get a tank the AC he needs to do hid job, especially if he is MA.

I think if I saw an item like this on any caster it would be a waste of the items there arte better if you are serching for wis and saves. I also think that if I was in a group/guild outing and the quest item dropped for this I might not even put in a request for it as a ranger, because there are classes that could get much more use out of it then myself. The whole peridot issue, I hear this can be a problem but if youre guild is sched. raids and not buying dots for casters to use, you mgiht want to think what youre guild funds are being used for because this is one of the reasons why everyone contributes and also if youre guild is not helping you to raid for youre epic then you might want to leave that guild, seems to me that sounds like more of a problem then the fact that you wouldnt use many stats on here to their full advantages, well maybe the str would let you hold more dots, and the haste would let you pass them out faster lol)

Judging by your ignorance... You probably never thought of the fact... hey if I want armor and weapons, and thats all I really care about, why dont I make a tank and see what Im really missing out on.

Well buddy, quit yer griping over being a tank cause it aint all sugar coated with awsome armor. The armor for us is our life blood. Casters life blood is there spells. You get armor to look nice when your sitting back in a corner to heal or nuke the guy from a distance. We wear armor because it saves our hides. Try fighting a dragon with all your lvl 20 spells. See how effective you are. Once you do that, now put it in retrospect to how a warrior feels. Imagine tanking a dragon with gear you get in the mid 20s. It just dont work. If your complaining about cash for peridots... well we dont owe you jack. We pay for them peridots by keeping everyone alive. If your got a problem with that, ill accidently miss the taunt key for a few times, and see how you do when he comes running after you.

So sit back, know your role and shut your hole as the Rock would say. He may be just a muscle head wrestler but that statement goes much farther than just a simple taunt to a defeated foe. Even us who do the deafeting must know our roles.

The haste is definitely NOT the most important thing on here. At the level you'll be getting this, you might already have 2 or 3 items with haste on them (including epics if you're using them). The most important things on here are the AC and the saves. If it were just 38 AC +5 to all saves, it would still be an amazing item. The stats, and yes even the haste, just add.

"At the level you'll be getting this, you might already have 2 or 3 items with haste on them (including epics if you're using them)."

Since haste items do not stack there is no point in carry multiples. I do not know a single person that carries multiple haste items. This item lends itself more toward tanks and hybrids simply because of haste, AC, and resists. There are very few haste items going above the 30% mark, using this would help tremendously and would help any tank build aggro. AC means less damage taken hense less healing required, resists mean less or no damage taken from spells or AOE hense less healing. I agree this would be amazing for any class that can wear but it was designed for Tanks/Hybrids to use it's full potential.

Well first of all you need to be ally with the dragons to do this guest. The items needed for this quest drops i Hall of testing in the East wing. You need symbols and tears for the quest. Symbols is the easy part, they drop for the small named with there is like 8 of the are a 1 week spawn. I have only seen them drop 1 symbol at the time so fare but who knows may thay can drop more ?. Ups forgot these nemed can also drop the Orb you need for some of the quests. The tough part of the quests is the tears the only drop from Dozekar the cursed with is one mean motherf.. He can drop up to 7 tears at the time and is a 1 week spawn to. So the rewards from these quests maybe wild but it takes a very long time to get the right pices for the quests, so i think that they will not be something you´ll se everyday.

Hope this helps a bit for you questers and good luck all
