I saw a rogue mention that they would use this in their off hand. This is too good to use off handed! 13/20 far outdeals RB in damage, and should go primary. RB would be better off-handed because the 40% haste is still effective on 13/20.
I think the reason why he said he would use this in offhand and epic in main is that epic is 15/25, meaning higher backstab

The horn has been modified. It now has 35ac instead of 10ac.
This is, quite possibly, one of the top 5 best weapons for warriors. Amazing damage/delay, 10 ac, 10 sta (which is another 40 or so HP), and 75 hp, adds to every of the warrior's most important stats, and in large loads.

It seems every weapon should be a rogues and every other Item in the game should be a monks, looks like everyone else should just give up because there's nothing we should have. Yes, it does look good for a rogue, but I'd love it on my ranger too. These classes (monk and Rogue) seem to be too weak, as their players cry "mine" on almost every item there is out that they can use (and there's item with rogues and monks ******** they can't use). I there for will start feeling sorry for you choosing your class that sux (NOT- you chose it)
Firstly, this weapon should be for the classes for which it was intended, and no amount of griping about it serves anyone any good.
Secondly, at the levels at which one must be to obtain it at all, I would assume the players would have a bit more class than the people posting gripes about it and snipes at other players.
Of course, this is just MY opinion, which may stink as much as anyone else's.

I agree that people gripe waaaay too much. I think NBG is BS. If I fight I will have my roll period, as long as it is not a no drop item. If I wish to be generous I will do so from the heart not by coersion or by what some bozo decides is the "Best" class to use a wep. This whole issue of NBG is absolutely wrong. I see way too many "Needed items" on Twinks in EC yelling "Selling everything on me by the 1st torch" BAH! BAH! BAH! BAH!!!
As to Rogues and Monks sucking... Look me up next time you need a CR or you need me to pull an aggroed mob off yer butt... ;-)

Why can't a bard use this? I mean we share a lot of simularities with rogues and use a lot of the same wepons.

Yes this is a rogue weapon. But i was just thinking give this to a non-large race warrior and put it in on his off hand and he should be able to bash. Now lets think a nice low delay on the off hand while dealing damage with it. More swings more agro.. Plus the ablity to stun more often then the stun kick, i think it would make a great off hand weapon for a non large race warrior.
Of course this is just my 1pp 2gp 3sp 263 cp.

Nope...You can only bash with a true shield if you aren't Large. This has AC, but it isn't a shield. No Bash.
Big example, Shield of the Slain Unicorn. Actually called a shield, looks like a shield, goes only in the secondary slot like a shield, but you can't bash with it.

A 1h bash-enabled weapon isn't that far-fetched. After all, I know Shadowknights can bash with their epic (2hs), and I vaguely remember a few other 2 handers being bash-enabled...
Can we all say Firery Avenger and Firery defender class? Good thought you could. Now realy what in the heck are you thinking about having somthing the size of a straight pin bash? Ummm NOT! I can see it now rogues bashin with daggers......well if a snake can kick me, then anythin is possible.

wtf would a rogue bash for? bstab and bash work on same ability timer... and he said SMALL RACE WARRIORS not rogues... i myself being a barbarian can duel wield and bash just cause i have the slam ability the smaller races dont. and the thing about snakes kicking is about the same as mobs sowing themselves inside of dungeouns... it shouldnt happen but does.
*edit* this is also a great weapon for ALL classes that can use it... 35 ac is nothing to skoff at and is universally needed by all classes that can use this item .

This is a Willsapper without the proc (nice if there is no slower but a deathwish in epic battles for Rogues). In return you get 10AC, HP and Stamina on top of a 0.1 weight. Heck, no contest. I'd take this over anything that didn't have the words Primal for the main hand.
It isn't no-drop? Wow, that was nice of Verant. Still, if you can behead this fella to get it, then you won't be selling it in EC anytime soon I think. It is nice that it can get passed along once you do fetch that Primal Vellium Spear anyways.

You know the velious weapons are crazy overpowered when you look at this item and say, "Gee it's decent, but I would expect king tormax to drop better"

Posted: Jun 06 2001 at 8:25 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) this probably isnt the BEST rogue weapon in the game....the ratio is VERY nice, but if you used this in main hand(which would benefit your regular melee, not counting backstabs), the dmg you would lose on that 2 less dmg backstabbing would not be worth using it in main hand. it would be pretty good in offhand, but i would award this to a warrior over a rogue anyday because a warrior would actually use it in main hand(thus benifitting more from it) and would benefit the warrior taunt factor VERY nicely(this helps a ton when fighting a mob where your strat is to have one main tank) not to mention the hit points and stamina on this weapon would be great for warriors. another weapon exactly like this one, willsapper, also a 13 20 piercer, can be obtained from vaniki, rare as sh*t rat in dragon necropolis

Actually if you had this and Ragebringer it would be better to put this in mainhand and ragebringer offhand, the better ratio results in more damage dealt out over time which more than makes up for the slightly smaller backstabs in my experience (no I don't have one of these, but I do have a Primal Velium Spear which is the same ratio, and I have used it in my mainhand since the day I got it and it's workin great so far). In fact it SEEMS that lots of smaller hits (and smaller backstabs) give you less aggro than the 553 backstabs with ragebringer give you. No research on that or anything tho, just a feeling after using various setups for a while

If you ever take the time to look, most weapons rogues can use are also useable by Bards (whoda guessed?). Besides, look at the name: The Horn of Hsagra. The keyword is horn. Bards use horns, even though this isn't a playable horn. Why not Bards...
