haha, you must play a druid. only the stupid ones play a druid. it's the RANGER'S test of defense, meaning it's a ranger only test. God, you got your own Plain of Air quests, and they are plenty good, especially good. Besides, for a cloak, go get a White Dragonscale cloak.....much easier to obtain, and plenty better for druids. And lastly, stop training, because I know that's what you want to do.
Ya know in the whole 2 sentecnes this guy said i dont think he ever mentioned he was or wasnt a ranger, ****** he said We an all sense of the word prolly ment We As in We Rangers..u automaticly call him a drui then like a idiot cuz assumed he was one told him that u have your own air quest...
The stats are nice, and the effect is also very nice, but the ac really really blows, especially considering you can get something such as oh say, Chetari Bone Crafted Shield (which im wearing), then go for a really nice belt such as RBG or RBB or something, and also have some nice ac on waist
I dunno about this one... since a ranger has no business tanking anyway (sorry but they are dmg dealers not takers) i think id rather have those badass stats... not to mention the probable 40% haste that it is seeing as how its from PoA... go rangers :)
Correct...anyone who tries to tank with their ranger is suicidal (unless of course you are the ONLY melee class and you have at least a 2 cleric bakc-up). :)
Rangers who know what they are doing know that they are not tanks.
For the most part, the "non-tanking Ranger" thing applies mostly to raid-type encounters. As a level 52 Druid, I often go hunting for EXP with a couple Ranger friends as tanks.
Hell, we wiped out a couple tainted/corrupted seahorses in Kedge with just two Rangers and a Paladin for our front line. THe two druids that wanted the Corrupted Spawns didn't have much trouble keeping up the healing. Sure, after the Corrupted popped and was killed we were pretty much empty but its still not hard to hunt with Rangers.
Sure, they'll never replace warriors on the big encounters but they're definitely not "useless" as front line in the right situations.

Many times I have had ranger as main tank in my group. A level 59 ranger is a better tank than a 51 warrior in most circumstances. They're not ideal but it's not like you need 2 clerics to heal them, either. And no one ever accuses them of not being able to taunt mobs well.
At level 59 a ranger is a better tank than a warrior in most situations? I always thought of tank as the meat shield. Rangers are better dmg dealors yes. Monks, rogues, and wizzies are also damage dealors. Warriors have defensive discs for a reason. and with the patches from the last few months SKs and Pallys do a might great job of it too. Why do you think a lot of groups/guilds have jokes along the line of whomever calls ranger down first gets a prize?!?! Ha. I love rangers, and they make a great addition to any group. but they are not main tank material, especially post 30's. My 2 pieces...
Kinda off the subject of the cloak (which doesn't have very good ac considering the level you have to be to get it). Other things could make up for that too.
And to all the people who were saying rangers don't need ac because they are not tanks, what the heck are you thinking???? Ac is very important. Who hasn't had a bad experience with a dumb ranger puller who had next to nothing for ac and couldn't make it back to the group with the mob because he had been stunned so many times?
As a ranger of 44 hunting City of Mist with the guild I get out ac gear so I am not stunned by the Reavers.
And to those who say rangers can't tank. They can tank, at least they can at levels 44 and lower. And it depends on the situation. Main tank in a group that is doing giants in Kael. That works. main tank in a raid on Chardok. That doesn't work.
It is totally situational. And yes warriors are better at tanking (many more hp than your average ranger) but don't say it can't be done. And it doesnt take two clerics. It would only take on good shaman, druid or cleric to do it. I speak from experience. Just my 2 cents.
Anyone know the haste %? cause although this is a kickass item, if the haste % isn't better than en eyepatch of plunder then it's a tough call which to go for. I've never been to PoA, but from what I understand, the quests there are very tough indeed, and I've seen a lot more people with the eyepatches than PoA quested stuff.

Above says it's triggered, which would mean it's a Spell Effect. If that's the case, I don't think the two would stack, which would be very sad, since theres other back items that are superior to this if my assumption is correct.
