Found this on Vorshar the Despised today, so it's most definately still obtainable.

I did an item search for things a lvl 4 bard can get without being a twink. I get things like this, which were given out at GM events or things that i have to go to Chardok to find. but Atlas puts chardok at about lvl 50, if memory serves. so...WHAT CAN A LVL FOUR bard quest?!

Last night I convinced the Baron in Befallen to give me the ring which was found next to The Dark Lady Lanys' corpse. Upon returning this ring to the High Priest in Neriak he used it to summon Lanys' corpse and return her to Neriak. The Prince of Hate (Innoruk) then appeared to take the body away. I was given the Coin of Honor which I turned in for the Scarf.

Would be nice to see when u start your game that theres a GM Event instend of.....So and So's Test of such and such 50+......When they gonna make some better low lvl quest. If you really want to role play you shouldn't have to kill everything to gain exp. In games like D&D you gain exp. with a thief from stealing. It might not be much but its still exp. Making trades between cities other than the mail should be more common. Where else they getting there goods. I don't see merchants going from zone to zone.

I've also never attended a GM event.. there have been only two on when I have been on... one I was in too good of a group to leave ( I gained 2 levels or so with that group, that day) and the other was cancelled because 100+ morons poured into the zone, and kept trying to attack the GM's so they just called it off. I don't think they got off more than a couple words off... I think they should be albe to set a flag, that if you attack them while they are begining the quests and all, the player should auto translocate, or be auto killed, or banned from the zone or something. Once in over a year (about a year and a half now) and people ruin it because they want 'phat lewt' bunch of stupid kids, need to go play ultima, if you aren't interested in roleplaying in the roleplaying games... you ruin it for everyone that wants to enjoy the game and have fun... but anyway...

I do completely dissagree that they give them (GM suppolied items) to their friends. They are given out to the people that participate in the event. I'm sure a GM would be quite a bit of trouble if they tried to just make nifty items for their friends.. that's abuse of company resources, etc etc. Just like any other job, they would be reprimanded, the items taken back/destroyed, and the GM possibly fired. Not like it's hard to find people that would be willing to play a GM 8 hours a day and get payed for it! lol.

I've been playing EQ for almost 2 years and I've never even seen a GM event let alone gotten anything from one( I think this is just a way for GM's to get to make special items and give em out to those they know. The ppl at EQ need to try to do something interesting every server at least once a week and dont tell me they donnt have the resources. They are making bank. If it is a problem with not enough GM's or something they should hire more. I really do enjoy playing EQ but it isn't the computer that makes it interesting it is real ppl and the things they do. But then I guess that is why I play on a team PvP server, make it so there are actually interesting things to do not just go camp some item or xp all the time
