I can verify (because my troll beastlord is wearing a full suit) that all of the WU's FIghting armor is wearable by Vah Shir, Ogres, and Trolls. Basically all of the races that can be Beastlords, can wear Wu's fighting armor.
I got a full set of Wu's for my mildy twinked Monk at about lvl 21, and loved it (though I was upgrading from a Lockjaw vest and a mix of cured and raw silk - LJ vest has more AC but any Silk gi looks loads better). I also have a a Pair of Serpantine Bracers 1AC +9Agi +3Dex each, and did some experimentation whether to use Maxed AGI or AC.
When using the Serp Bracers I got hit loads less than when using Wu's Wrist wraps. I didn't do any statistical study, but I ended up putting the Wu's in the bank and Sticking with the Serps.
So to those who say that AC rules, It didn't for me. Though at lvl 35 now, I am moving away from the wu's, twilight stuff sounds like it looks good.....
Dont forget that agi=ac! I believe that rogues and monks get added bonus for agi too but cant confirm yet (I'll try this on a warrior and see if they have the same ac add as my rogue). Has anyone compared total ac of a suit of wu's to some of this other stuff or are you going by the obvious numbers of what the items say? If so please post as I would really like to know. Cant argue with str improvements though, you can never have enough.
i know my ranger gets the same ac bonus as a friend of mine's rogue.. we were expirementing (sp?) with a Mithril BP to see who got the best ac from it.. both was the same (note: Mith bp has 15agi)
ok i'm a twink but here is what I wear in wu's seeing as how my main is a master tailor.
-tunic: foreman's over wu's I like the ac and str over just more agility -leggings: wu's for AC since I hade drake hide before -shoes: wu's, chucked my wolf fur slippers for these because of the ac mainly and well with wu's in a few places you don't need the 7 agi off wolf-furs -cloak: had cured silk before, went with wu's and recently switched to grey fur cape for it's str -shoulders: not a lot of monk shoulders so went from cured to wu's here, pretty easy choice -mask: cougarskin from iceclad quest, this thing is worth 1.0 wt on your face even for a monk but there are tons of better face items than wu's -sleeves: azure because, in the end, AC is king -head: exe for the good mix of stats, ac and weight -neck: was gold opal switched to orc fang; again add some weight but ac and stats sealed it, wouldn't recomend wu's gorget for anyone as I'd wear a spiked collar first -wrists: I wear erollisi and sejah-ghulum but if you can't find someone willing to travel to the end of the world and blow their erudin faction maybe erollisi/wu's would be a good combo on wrists -gloves: wu's gaunts have always sucked except that they were magic and a lightsource but by the time you can afford some or skill your tailoring you can get better. had werewolf gloves for a bit but I wear gem inlaids for the ac now. If your broke broke just wear splitpaw gloves and eat the weight limit which is what lower level non-twinks do anyhow.
Now you also have to consider that my primary goal was to first get 100 str, sta, agi and dex then go for ac and more str, lots of people have their opinions on the subject of stats vs ac and this is mine, you don't have to agree with it but maybe in this post you will see something that helps you pick gear that works for you.
ouch. nice math. if you could only wear one wristband the ac would be 58. but, of course, you can wear two wristbands and thus the full set is 62ac and 30agi. you were close, though :)
I recently bought Pants Shirt and Shoulders on Terris for 180pp. Seemed like a good deal to lose a little weight from the pervious stuff I had. Agi is relatively high now and the bonus AC from the Agi has made up for the AC lost by ditching the heavier stuff. Since my main is a monk, money is sometimes hard to come by. Even with a 16 pound weigh limit, looting just about anything used to put me over. Now I have a little more leeway. To say it is junk is rather unfair. Not everyone has platimun falling from their... well not everyone has a lot of money. For the price I thought it was a fairly wise deal.

I am on Innoruuk and taking orders for the new Wu armor. I currently have a decent supply of heady kiola and silk. I am waiting on my chanter friend to supply the last ingredient. If you want to bring the supplies we can work a good discount or I can supply all and charge the going rate.
Same thing here, as soon as I saw this I found the recipe and gather all the parts for every piece, just need a tailor. If anyone on the Solusek Ro server has a tailoring skill of 160 or more please send a tell to Kalwedar.
I just recently aquired a full set of Wu's for my monk on Sol Ro,I gathered all the ingredients and just auctioned for a master tailor around the 150 skill lvl, come to find out theres only a few ppl on that server that have such high skills in tailoring,I come across a cool druid who had a skill of 129 and we decided to give it a try,he succeeded in making all the pieces the first attempt, cept the shirt/Gi which took 3 tries, Hope this helps :)
The Chest and arm items look like a slightly updated version of Cured silk. Legs and bracers have a leather texture tinted golden (seems very yellow on Iksar). ditto for shoes I think. all other items have no graphic
Very nice for a low-mid level monk who isn;t very rice..as is, I'd like to replace my gatorscale with these...to lose 1 AC and 15 hp, in order to gain a better weight margin AND 2 agi? sign me up for da pimp daddy look.
Oooh, this is nice. Foremans Tunic isn't much better, probably this has Cursed Silk graphic or better, and Foremans tunic is too expensive for lower levels. Nice piece here.

THEY COULD SAVE THE MONEY IN K-Y AND JUST BRUTALIZE US. HERE YOU GO ABASHI, HOLD THIS CAT-O-NINE TAILS WHILE I RIP OFF MY OWN SHIRT.
Need the new 10-slot large sewing kit for this, because the recipe is:
Heady Kiolas (x4) brewed Silk Swatches (x3) tailored Vial of Viscous Mana (x1) spell by enchanter (requires a pearl and poison vial (pottery)) Tunic pattern (x1)
Pants and Cloak also require a 9-slot container, thus these items weren't possible to create until the 4/8 patch.
10 slot kits were "removed" from the game (ie they are no longer vendor sold, the only ones around are the ones players possesed prior to the removal patch) There ARE however Looms in each city (Cabilis has one on the island near the pattern vendor, Misty has one right behind the big round building at the entrance, etc). Works just like a regular kit, but with the 10 slots you need for this armor. If you have trouble opening the loom click on it's frame rather than on the center of it.
well hot damn, this means that every one of my chars but my new iksar shaman are special? =) that's kinda cool, and the looms are something i'd never heard about but i think i'm gonna look into them now.
All the recipes for these items can be found at www.eqtraders.com thay also have approx trivials as this has only just been discovered the trivials are still being worked out but this is a great bridge between old world and velious tailoring with trivials from 130ish to 160ish for different peices also cheap way to get towards that cultural tailoring items.
