In last patch the haste on this was upgraded to Haste: 21%
1% is WAY off

I got this earring about a year ago when I was playing a warrior, and it was for the event where we summoned Tunare in Lfay and Cazic Thule showed and cursed Equestrielle's horn. Firiona had to cut off the horn and now Eques is no longer a nice unicorn. I also got the name Matrumlus the Earth Keeper, which I should have said "no" to when asked if I wanted to keep it as I get tells constantly asking if I am a GM or how I got the name. Anyway, at the time this item was awesome and having had a cloak of flame as well I must say that the haste on this was substantially faster. Now they have added even more haste to this thing as of today's patch, and I don't even play this char anymore. Damn shame its no drop as I could prob sell for a TON. I play a bard now and while this would be nice for him I dont melee as much and would sell it if I had it. Oh well, maybe someday...

The haste percent on this is only 1percent so don't get to excited if you get it
Thex Loop

A buddy of mine (DE cleric) was in Neriak banking when he say a GM event going on. I said heck I will be right there (I am a HE enchanter). So I zone put on my DE suit and proceed to watch the event. The DE cleric starts getting into and doing an awesome job of RP. Me trying to think how a HE Agnostic would treat this began looking for ways to make it hard on the participants by suggesting things for the GM but in charater. Long story short I got drafted by servants of INNY to help with a mission. We finished the mission (my participation was minimal) with the DE cleric doing an excellent job. He was rewarded with a title and an awesome weapon. I got the Thex loop. BTW did I mention we were rewarded with an audience with the Prince of Hate himself!

I did a GM event on E-Marr last night and was lucky enough to receive a coin for my part in event. How excited was I? I went to the OT outpost and turned it in. WHat did I get as a 53 necro? This item. What a waste of an item. Ill use it 3 times a week when i need to use my OT hammer to speed up the proc. Before anyone ******* at me for complaining about receiving a free item, dont do it. I would rather have given this item to one of the melee'ers who did event but instead it has to sit in my bank because I wont use and the GMs wouldnt replace it or give it to another player in event. What a waste.

Haste Effect

I was lucky enough to be in the right place, doing the right thing, at the right time, and I got one of these. Curious thing is it doesn't make me any faster. I've timed it, and whatever I come up with is insanely low (last time it was 2%) or just so small it can be attributed to human error. It's probably my level (I'm 28 at this time, almost 29) but it'd be very strange if they decided to give me something that would never actually do anything. Anyone know if there's a level at which this starts activating?

Forgot to mention this:
One of my guildmates told me it's 40%... insane! I'm not sure if this is right, but if it is... man...
As a secondary note, this and other items are gotten (along with insane exp for my level) from coins given out at the end of an event. The Thexian Loop is from the Coin of Gallantry, if I remember correctly.

Thexian Loop

I recently received ( about 2 months ago.. I posted it on everlore) a Thexian Loop. At the time I was a level 31 Monk. On Xev Server, as part of a GM event, I assisted in the delivery of an item from Qeynos Hills to the Wizzie spires in NK and everyone in the group received a coin. I took my coin to an NPC in Qeynos and recieved the loop. I havent taken it off since...... I dont know how to figure out what the percentage haste is, so if anyone knows, I would be grateful to learn how. 2nd, How do you trigger it? I tried right-clicking on it, but no message, no graphic, no sparklies, nothing. Makes me think that it is a continuous effect...... Any more infr from other owners is appreciated....

I'm not sure, but from what I've read, all haste items are permanent. I think whoever put triggered up there made a boo-boo. Don't put money on it though, I haven't even owned a haste item yet :-).

For those of you asking how this item is received, it's for GM events only.

I remember monk posting that after a battle with a few minions of the faceless assaulting Fironia Vie in L. Fay, the monk was summoned to the king and given a reward for helping out F. Vie. The monk had to take the item given to him by the king to a local merchant. The monk received this exact earring from the merchant. Supposedly it was an item *that was appropriate for the level and class* of that character. I am not sure what level he was though. Possibly 29 but that's just a guess.

My 2cp worth.
#REDACTED, Posted: May 23 2001 at 2:01 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why are you all babbling about an item that u will never and cant ever get?
Awesome
# May 23 2001 at 9:41 AM Rating: Decent
If you think about it, the ear slots, especially for melee, are tipacally filled by a 2ac-5ac earing. So this is on the high end for AC, but OMFG haste? That's insane. for those who where a haste cloak or belt this would allow you to wear anything else you'd want(assuming its a similar haste). Imagine being able to drop you FBSS and throw on a TBB and take off that cougar claw earing.
Frees up waist

Heh, and just think, it would free up your waist for a good AC item there instead of wearing an FBSS
