What does this look like when worn?

A little item humor... Transparent Eyepatch... heh...
Caster Item

From a monk's point of view, this item is definitely a caster item. The +100 mana would be very beneficial to casters and very useless for monks. Also, compared to the many other TOV drops, 15ac is kinda crappy for melee armor.
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 21 2001 at 12:44 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) wow.. amazing how stupid ppl can get.... sarnak hide mask is better for monks... sheesh

Basic math lesson for you.

15AC (transparent eye patch) > 6AC (sarnak hide mask)

10dex is better than 5 str.

0.0 wt < 0.4 wt.

How exactly is the sarnak hide mask better for monks?!

I am a warrior and I would like hp on my mask. I think a monk would that too.

errr... could he have been joking?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think he was joking... anyways, it's good for most every class (actually, any class, just some use it better than others, like SKs the best, haha, jk)

How was he joking? Of course this post was from 2001 so maybe you started using a few more braincells and arent as stupid to realize this.

ok whoever posted the second post about getting an exe hood for their monk......(pauses for a slight moment to help himself from smackin the poster) exe hood is for the head..eye patch is for the face. why would you buy a exe hood for your face??? maybe a mistake but it sounded like you meant it

peace,
tajuri southpaw 51 monk

I'm sorry, but the "monk item" posts lost ther humor years ago. If all you have to contribute is "Wow, this is a monk item for sure!," then please don't waste our time, or your own in posting such useless trash comments. Thank you.
#REDACTED, Posted: May 17 2001 at 8:28 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Shouldn't have said it. In my eyes you're a total and compelete idiot. I would get the executioner's hood for my monk. This think is caster friendly though. =)

"In my eyes you're a total and compelete idiot. I would get the executioner's hood for my monk"

total and complete idiot.... yes, thats about what i was going to say when i read YOUR answer...

i wouldnt use it on my warrior either, id rather use a primal velium hammer. ;-)

total and complete idiot......couldnt have found better words for you, thanks.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 19 2001 at 4:24 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Wonder who the idiot is when you say exe hood. I mean its 2 differant slots...LoL

Hello?!

15AC on a FACE item is amazing. And raw silk mask is a piece of crap, you know that right? And that's PLUS 10 dexterity, not MINUS 10. Yes, this is a great item for monks. It's a great item for anybody, really, especially casters with that 100 mana.

If it wasn't no drop, I'd buy this thing in an instant!
#Anonymous, Posted: May 17 2001 at 1:26 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) not to mention.. the negitive 10 dex.. would lower your AC by more than 2.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 11 2001 at 7:25 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) dex does not effect ac agi does if you are going to post something know what you are talking about plus the eyepatch would only be good for casters the 100 mana would be very helpful even at the level you have to be to get this item
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 30 2002 at 3:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) DEX effects AC in Diablo II.. not in EQ tho hehe =)
#Anonymous, Posted: May 15 2001 at 10:22 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Monks are useless.

The actual use for a transparent Eye patch

The use of the transparency is for those that are missing one eye lid. It would allow the person to see, while keeping out objects that would damage the eye.

Usually we call such things "goggles." :)

Besides, if a body didn't have eyelids, the eye would dry up in short order (and be unusable.) Blinking keeps the eye hydrated.

Hmmm.... considering how many times I've gotten the crap beaten out of me as a caster I could imagine that some of the meatshields might be some bits and pieces short =]
