Are we sure the effect type is triggered. That would suck if you had to fight a mob underwatyer that can debuff. I would assume, and hope that it is actually a perm effect like the other enduring breath items.
yes there is supposed to be an underwater dungeon under the lake. The bloodgills guard the entrance. To my knowledge it is still not an avialable zone. Temple of Veksar is the name btw. Plus lets face rebreathers are heavy and GIANT, what a pain to carry around. Gimme a Lodizal shield anyday =)
I dont know for sure but i think there is suposed to be a dungn opening under lake of ill omen some time, it will be "under water" like KK, i also suspect we maye see another water zone near erudin befor the release of lucin.
quite simply, iksar can wear this out of a balance issue. for most of the old world/kunark items, iksar couldn't wear them, but their natural ac boost more or less evened them out. however, when velious and the armor that came with it debuted, there's no way in hell the ac boost could keep up with that.
The reason could also be that there's like no Velious-grade chain armor for Iksar tanks that, with their AC boost, would even things out.
I.e., with Kunark, there was that culturally forged armor or quested or whatever for Iksar (I'm sorry, I don't play an iksar, so I don't know) that would even out the balance for the iksar. However, with Velious and the quest armors there, it would have taken a completely new set of quests just for Iksar, and then you'd need one for each iksar class (well, SK/warrior/Shaman at least), so it would just complicate things too much, and Verant just decided to be lazy. They also would have had to added IKS items to all the ToV/PoG/everything else mobs just to make it fair. I think that Verant did a very wonderful job and just couldn't get stressed for the additional time it would have taken. That, however, is just a theory and may or may not be right.
Maybe they're just trying to reduce the 24/7 camping of Hadden for the fishbone earring, that causes all the major guilds to have someone "stationed" at his spawn point just in case the server goes down.
Then again, why bother with Kedge if you're already in ToV?
Hehe Maybe Bristlebane will remove all the air from his plane... could be kind of weird .. mischivious :) (sp) eb makes you stop breathing rather than make you able to breathe water.
It's good to make a full line of the set, because say your missing that one piece in your normal set of quest or plane armor or whatever. You can fill it in with one of these pieces and regardless of waht you have missing theres something for that slot.
Kinda cool to make a line that all have the effect of EB, but what use do you have for more than one of them? Lol I guess the stats, since they're pretty good. Awesome AC anyway, and the resists are nice.
